Cough Syrup ?/help needed

At the the store they didn't have just plain Guaifenesin.
It had 10 mg of Dextromethorphan HBr, USP (a cough suppressant) as well as 200mg of Guaifenesin.

Since the other thing is a suppressant and not a decongestant, is it okay? Anyone know what it does?

It's best to get just straight Guanifesin because the Dextro has been linked to increased risks of birth defects.

Do you have a Costco? I got a huge generic bottle of Guanifesin there for pretty cheap. It was actually a 2 pack.
