Okay, So I was wondering what multi-vitamin DH should take. I know Atomic and some others have a mentioned an over 50 one? Does anyone know the one?
Here's the thing. I actually have a ton of prenatal vitamins and was wondering if DH could just take those?
Does anything below look not right for him to have?
Is there anything missing that is in the multi-over 50 that he should have?
Here is my prenatal-
Vit. A- 1000 IU
Vit. C- 100mg
Vit. D3- 400 IU
Vit. E- 30 IU
Vit. B1- 3mg
Vit. B2- 3mg
Vit. B6- 20mg
Niacinamide- 15mg
Folic Acid- 1mg
Vit.B12- 12mcg
Pantothenic Acid- 7mg
Calcium- 200mg
Iron- 29mg
Zinc- 20mg
Docusate Sodium- 25mg
**He will also be taking a bit more Zinc, Vit. D, Fish Oil, L-Argentine(sp?)

I am no expert, but I would guess men need different things than pregnant/nursing women? I hope Atomic chimes in--she'd know best.

One A Day Men's 50+ Advantage (http://www.oneaday.com/mens_50.html) (click in the upper right for a $1 off coupon.) I like it because it's name brand, cheap, widely available, and has pretty much everything you want in a fertility vitamin, without megadoses of things. Megadoses are not good either and megadoses of some minerals may actually sway PINK by harming sperm.
He could take your prenatal I suppose, but the One a Day is really quite affordable and has some other ingredients that your prenatal doesn't. Also the docusate sodium is a pretty strong laxative, not sure he's in the market for that!! ;)
Be careful not to go too overboard on zinc. IG has zinc listed at 50 mg, but that is too high and may be harmful over the course of time. 20-25 is a nice safe amount of zinc for men.

Whoa-why is there a laxative in prenatals??? I can't say I've noticed that.
I will def. get the other for DH.
Thanks for the tip on the zinc.
Do you or anyone know what acid reflux medication like Zantac (Ranitidine) would sway pink or blue? It's an histamine-2 blocker and decreases the amount of acid in your stomach.
I have silent reflux and have a prescription, but don't always take the medicine. I am worried with the extra lemon, tomato, etc. with the boy diet I may really need it

A lot of ladies get constipated in pg so they toss the docusate sodium in there to compensate.
If you need the acid reflux medicine, use it. It ~may~ sway slightly pink by reducing the amount of some nutrients you get from your food, but at the same time on the blue diet, you will be getting so much nutrition anyway that it won't make a difference.
The boy diet has really caused some people's reflux to flare up and it's best to nip it in the bud and not allow it to get started because it tends to just get worse and worse.

Thanks Atomic,
Yeah the reflux is a pain. I will stop having ice cream every night-so they should help;)
