Girl guesses but why is the nub thick? It's making me think boy

This is another picture from my 13 week scan. It's parallel with the spine but why does it look thick? This one makes me think boy. Convince me to think otherwise lol or do you agree?

I am not sure that that thick part is the nub. But i can understand why you think it looks boyish.

Hmmm...I am in no way a good guesser AT ALL and the nub is def parallel to the spine, but to ~me~ that looks like a peener with testicles underneath. I hope and pray I am wrong.

This is what's making me think girl

The top ultrasound is mine and the bottom is a confirmed girl nub, they look almost identical to me but then my other nub shot shouts "BOY" at me! Aghhh. I've booked a gender scan because I really did think I'll hear pink but now I'm not so sure anymore. I can't find any nubs like the first one I posted. All the boy nubs are obvious boy nubs and vice versa, why do I have a confusing one? It can't be both...can it LOL

I'm really very sorry if I added to any confusion or stress because that is not at all my intention. I almost didn't say anything and I probably shouldn't have but I was DEVASTATED at my u/s with DS 3 because I was super convinced he was a she and I don't want anyone to go thru that.

Of the second pictures, yeah that looks more girly than the first one you posted but at the same time, at my first scan with DD, the lines were super bright and longer, and more like they were going up inside the abdomen and there was nothing beneath and then I could see the bottom. Nothing in between the lines and the bottom. To ~me~ (remember - NOT A GOOD GUESSER) even on your second shot, there seems like there's something between the nub and the bottom and the lines are shorter and seem, like, less attached than if they were part of a VJ.

I know that the official story with nubs is the angle of the dangle and you are TOTALLY right that your nub shot looks like that second shot :agree: but when I guess (and again, I'm NOT in any way a good guesser or an expert) my brain thinks, "does that look like a penis and nuts, or a vagina" and esp. the top shot gives me more of a boy vibe and then your second shot still seems a little "busy" below the equator if that makes sense. I hope some others who are more expert than I am will chime in and set me straight!
