Hey All, Title says it all.
For those of you that checked DH's ph, what should I be aiming for for DH?
He is 7.6, which is up a bit from the first time we checked. It seems a bit low to me? I always hear of DH's having 8-9. Anyone that got their DH's ph up, what do you think worked the best?
He is on mult. vit, fish oil, L'Arginine, gelatin, Vit D.
only for a few weeks so far though-not sure how long it takes to start seeing a difference. He is having a bit more trouble following the diet, but has started eating meat more (he only had it a few times/month before)

I can tell you that there has not been a lot of stock put in to the DH's ph here because, well, it didn't really seem to matter. A normal ph is around what your DH's is.....when it is high, it can be indicative of an infection, actually. I asked my DH's urologist about ph of semen at his appt this past Friday, and he said they don't like to see it go over 8.5. I wouldn't worry about it too much- just make sure he is eating well and making the healthiest sperm he can- lots of protein and fruits and veggies for good vitamins and antioxidants. I think his supps you have him on are good. Lots of testosterone-raising ones, which is good. He won't notice a difference right away, and it takes 72 days for the sperm he is making today to be released, so just have him keep on it.

No, 7.6 is beautiful pH and perfectly normal. Perfectly normal pH = good sperm numbers and survivability.
On some of the other sites, they try to get their husband's pH higher than normal. We have NO RELIABLE EVIDENCE that this really sways blue and in fact, high pH can be indicative of infections and even cancer that causes very low sperm count/quality.
The pH of semen, EWCM at ovulation, the fluids in your uterus, the fluids in your Fallopian tubes, and the liquid released when your egg bursts from the ovary (which is proven to attract sperm) is naturally in the 7's. Your Fallopian tubes even grow special cells around ovulation that do nothing but make fluid of pH in the 7's. Both X and Y sperm thrive in this pH and both X and Y sperm die in very high and very low pH.

I would focus on your cm in regards to making sure you have lots of ewcm, but don't stress about your own ph too much. I would focus on eating well and doing things that raise your testosterone level instead. Personally, I really think there is something to the testosterone level thing! Do stuff that makes you take on challenges (even things like sodoku and whatnot) and conquer them. I think also becoming a bit "obsessed" in a very healthy way with diet and all will help you too. GL!

Thanks LL-Yeah I agree that the most impt. is just make sure there is EWCM, than the ph of it. I trying to be creative with the diet and am so far only "obsessing" about DH's part in this. He smokes once/week and so I am really trying to get him as healthy as possible to try and counteract some of that.
He is doing a good job and just wants me to tell him what he can/cannot eat. He did just forget to take his supps. 3 days in a row. Glad we are starting early;)

Hey, if your DH is willing to eat what you give him and take supps, that is a pretty good step in the right direction and he deserves a big pat on the back for it. Many DHs are not on board with swaying, or with being told what they can and can't do, for that matter!
Jump on over to the boy swaying thread if you have any questions about the ewcm or T level stuff!

Thanks LL, yeah he is an awesome DH. He already thinks we are nuts for having 4, so he's always like, "what's one more"
He always puts my wants before his, he is actually lifting weights right now because I asked him to at least 5 min./day a few days a week. Plus, he wants to get in shape too and I know he wants to have his once/week cheat so I told him he has to work on the rest of the stuff to counteract that.
