Hi,
I have been prescribed above for heavy periods and feel reluctant to take as trying to conceive on and off, dr said it shouldn't interfere with conception, but still worried. Supposed to take for 4 days and stop, with start of periods. I am taking some supps and eating balanced diet.
My main worry is actually conceiving if I take this, ( do have kids) had a m/c at 8/9 weeks last year.
Anyone ever had this for heavy periods and is swaying, any opinions/advice wil be appreciated.

Is this a new development (as in, you started fish oil or garlic or green tea and started bleeding a lot??)
If you're having excess menstrual flow that has only started since you've been on TTC boy supps, we need to figure out what's causing it rather than just treating the symptoms because these supps may also cause bleeding in your stomach or brain that could be fatal.
If this is an ongoing thing for you, the tranexamic acid is the standard treatment for women who have heavy periods and want to get pregnant. Women who have heavy periods and aren't TTC are usually just given a certain kind of birth control pills, but you can't take those when you are TTC.
It's Class B and is considered probably safe during pg, so I would have no qualms about taking it prior to conception. I couldn't find anything solid to indicate it swayed in either direction. I found one small and unreliable link that it may raise blood sugar (and would sway blue as a result).

Thanks Atomic for replying
I have been having heavy periods for a while now, have got heavier with each pregnancy.
I only have green tea sometimes and not taking garlic supps, was taking fish oils few months ago, not now.
I am taking prenatal, FA, and VIT E. My bleeding is heavy for 2-3 days then stops for 2 days then light flow for 3 days, so was worried if the lining is ok for implantation as I tend to ovulate day 12-13. Cycles are 24-26 days, I also spot for 2 days before the heavy flow. After flow has completely finished I ovulate around 3-4 days after.
The dr said this would reduce the bleeding and help with the irregular pattern of bleeding.

Vit E can also be a blood thinner, you may want to give it a pass - up to you tho.
I would def. take the TXA and see if it helps. You're right, I would be somewhat concerned about my lining in that scenario as well. I hope it helps!!!
