19wk scan... Thinking Boy!

The tech didn't tell me anything but I think based on the pictures that it is a boy. Anatomy scan May 25th maybe they can tell me something.

PP, I hate saying but i have to admit that picture certianly *looks* boyish.

The first pic def looks like a boy shot, penis and scrotum. The second one isn't as convincing and is a little confusing - there looks like "3 lines" but they seem a little far forward. I know during my 3yo's scan I thought he was a girl because I saw some "3 line" shots, but when the tech showed the goods there was no denying it. I'm not an expert at scans, though! Third pic is so sweet, congrats on a healthy baby!

I echo others that photo #1 looks boyish :think: But look at the 3D photo, because that is what you will fall in love with regardless. That sweet little face is precious. Whether boy or girl I think you make gorgeous babies :HH:

I just got an email from my aunt who is a retired u/s tech and she said that she doesn't think it's a boy because the pictures are not good enough for a guess. She looked at all my pictures and the video and she thinks I should wait for the next u/s. (The video shows the baby moving and the legs did open up and you can see the cord between the legs and covering the gender)

Her Notes...
Picture 1 above looks like the cord since in other pictures the cord was running through the legs.
Picture 2 above looks more like a girl.

These new attachments are with her notes as well to show the cord!

I have given up caring. I like having boys but it is going to be so hard telling DH and MIL if the next scan shows a boy. DH keeps calling it a girl when he talks to my stomach everynight... It's going to be very sad the next few days.

I decided to take a break from packing and sew a new cover for the nursing pillow... ok maybe 4 new covers! Blue with tracters, Brown with bears and trees, Purple with a funking design and a white with bears and hearts.

Whatever I don't use I will donate to a BF program with WIC.

I love your 3d pic - you have a beautiful baby. I did think boy but then seeing your Aunts diagrams I am now thinking girl and really hoping that for you. The 25th is our 10 year anniversary so hopefully it will be a lucky day! Good luck and hope you hear pink!

PP, I love the name Henry, and I agree, the baby is gorgeous whatever the gender. :) Hope it is your girl, though.

I think pic #1 is a pee pee and pic #2 is the cord. I have the same pics of my last son where they guessed girl off them and I went back a few days later and he was all boy. Good luck at your next scan. Your little one sure is cute!!!

Honestly it does look like a boy to me. Pic #1 looks like DS2's u/s pic. My 1DS had three very distinct lines at 19 weeks and I was told girl only to find out 2 weeks later he was he. It's so hard to tell, hopefully at your next appt it will be more clear.

that 2nd picture does look girly as a still shot, but its what you see when you zoom the scrotum and penis in and out or back and fourth or whatever way you want to phrase it... I have seen it many, many times during live scans ;/
