Ultrasound 19wks and 5d... Pictures Finally Loaded

The tech did say girl but I still have my doubts... Until the baby is born we are not announcing it!

The tech mentioned that the labia is very swollen but the side view didn't show anything pointing up. We were able to see the side view a few times but couldn't get a good picture. Also the cord has a loose knot in it right near the privates and then the cord goes under the tight and the baby is holding it. We were only able to get a few quick views of the gender if the baby moved just right. I hope the pictures are clear enough.



The one that shows the profile of the gender... that is the cord and not a leg. The tech did the blood flow thing to confirm it was the cord.

The gender shot still looks like a boy to me because it is not a straight potty shot... my boys were very boyish and this one is really different so who knows. Did anyone have a girl who's potty shot looked like that?

Does the skull look boyish or girly?


We will either have a Harry Tony or a Maddie Lou... I kinda want a boy still but I know how much my DH and MIL want a girl.

I don't know, PP, that last one (with the arrow) really looks like a girl to me. Wouldn't there be a definite turtle there by now? Agree with Mocha, if the tech is thinking girl, I really wanna say she is probably right. Baby is SUPER cute!!!

My boys had big "turtles" and there was no doubt they were boys. There u/s pics are posted in the Birth Stories Section. I have never seen an u/s pic like this one so I am confused.

My girls both had swollen little labias at birth (I think they all do...don't boys have swollen balls?) and they looked like this, honestly. If I would have gotten an infrared profile shot of their potty region at birth, it would have looked like this. I'm totally leaning girl!!!!!!

Honestly, if a tech told me girl at 19 weeks I'd be shopping for pink - and I'll add you to the sway stats if you are comfy with that. Altho you are being super smart and calm not getting your hopes up. 19 weeks 5 days is generally right.

Congrats on your baby girl! You can definitely see labia in shot #3. It's just at an odd angle.

For some reason that pic looks like a penis to me maybe because I already have 2 boys I should just expect a 3rd. I have tried to find either boy or girl u/s like it but I can't. Packing and getting ready to move is hard when I can only think about the baby.

Believe me, I understand PP. I still have a LOT of trouble believing I'm having a girl, and in both my scans the techs said they were 100% sure. I'll be going for a 3D scan in a month or so just to make sure she hasn't grown a penis :worry:

Yes mocha that is a big fear to have your baby grow a penis when you are told girl. I am thinking of doing a scan after we move to las vegas to get a better view. Maybe around 28-30wks. I am still hanging onto my boy clothing just because. DH is a little sad that they couldn't confirm a girl 100% because he has been talking about it so much he is afraid he jinked it. It is so funny to see him be all manly with our boys and then playing house with our neice a minute later.

I am loving the 1st pic... it looks like a set of hands are holding the baby's head. Maybe God, maybe my older sis, maybe my favorite grandpa, or maybe my grannyma.

That pic is bad for gender ID. Was this done at a private place? I'm really baffled here. The first two you posted clearly shows a penis and scrotum. I'm sorry to say so. xx
