Title says it all.. I remember in IG they said you should not organism when TTC girl because it raises your pH and sucks the spermies up there. Is that still true?

It ~may~ raise testosterone and ~may~ release lubricating fluid that helps to assist sperm survival. The "sperm gets sucked up by the cervix when Oing" has been debunked (even tho you still can read it plenty of places online) and it doesn't matter anyway since most women tend to O BEFORE DH anyway. So how can it even be true??
I did have an O when I conceived my DD but my sex drive was super low for months before. I was not having a ton of O's, maybe 1-2 a week if that even.

With my DD, i had an O before DH ! i thought to myself why not! (personally I dont think it makes any much difference - but thats just my opinion!) x

I was wondering this myself. Because I O-ed everytime I had one of my boys, I'm gonna not get many O's this cycle just so I can do something different. ;-)

Crickey atomic, 1-2 O's a week would be me on a sex mission!!! when my sex drive is low, we go weeks!

LOL Deaks, would you believe my husband claims deprivation because we only DTD 3-4 times a week!!
Just goes to show that the O factor probably doesn't make much diff. if any to the gender baby you conceive.

Yeah Atomic you are making us look bad, lol. I agree with deaks...sometimes I go weeks but then hubby starts pouting so I have to cave in. I am no where near an expert but for us O'ing was of major importance since we had a difficult time to begin with. I tend to rationalize things though and both sides seem plausible especially the testosterone part. But, if men have equal number of X and Y at ejac then theoretically speaking both would still have equal chance to penetrate that egg. Otherwise, there would be far less women in the world right? Lol just my theory which doesn't count for much :prof:. Even though hubby usually goes first, I won't be foregoing the big O because quite frankly I rather enjoy that part!

Yes, there are roughly equal numbers of X and Y in every ejaculate (exact numbers may vary slightly for the same reason you wouldn't get an identical amount of pink and blue M and M's if you scooped them out of a jar) BUT for reasons we don't totally understand, high numbers of sperm in your repro tract seem to sway blue, and lower numbers seem to sway pink.
The issue with O is that it ~may~ help more sperm to survive and ~may~ help more sperm make it up into the uterus/Fallopian tubes and then onto the egg, which ~may~ sway blue!

Makes sense! So should I fake it then, lol!!! Just kidding. But Atomic... If using a cutoff does this aspect matter as much? I mean O ing with a three day cutoff seems like it wouldn't make too muh of a diff as far as swaying goes? Maybe I won't just to be safe.

It's hard hey, I think my testosterone is generally pretty high , so I will try and skip the big o a bit this month :)

I'm so jealous! Some months I think mine is up there and some not as much! Just want us all to get our bfp so we don't have to stress as much...but then we will be asking for Ramzi guesses, lol

A cutoff doesn't sway, so YES, the technique would still matter.
