I've had my u/s scan today and my ob/gyn did it. I asked her NOT to tell ( confirm?) the gender.

Baby looks perfect, everything is OK. During the scan the wand was mostly on the right side of my belly and then she said: ''Let's look the spine' and moved it to the left.
I believe that means baby's back are on my left.

I wanted to ask both boy and girl moms do you know/remember how your baby was lying, where did you mostly feel the kicks and of course, what was the gender.
I feel the kicks all over.

I'm 27 weeks pg.

I feel the baby mostly in the middle and on my right, but I feel it on the left some too. At my 18 wk u/s, they said the placenta was on the right/middle. I don't know gender yet, but if this is a boy, I will be SHOCKED.

@hobber; die you looked for gender on your 12 week scan? So if you want, open à thread for that and we will give you our opinion about THE gender of this baby.

I can't wait to report on this thread!!! :D
And my OB is excited to get me an U/S as soon as he can.
I didn't even ask for one.

I will say this though.. ALL my aches and pains around the ovaries so far have been strictly left. I had one right twinge but that's it!
I think mine is a GIRL!

I feel baby girl Lillian kick mostly on the left side. I have an anterior placenta, so it took some time to feel her move, but now it's almost always on the left. And the left is a little bigger than my right side...think thats where she hangs out :)

No, I didn't get a nub shot. I am waiting for a delivery room surprise. My gut feeling is that it is a girl, though.

My mom and I were talking the other day about ultrasounds and she told me that her friend who has high risk pregnancies had to go to a specialist all the time for her ultrasounds, she must of had at least 10, anyways everytime they told her she was having a girl and she was so happy because she already had a boy. Anyways out came the baby and he was a BOY!! can you believe the specialist told her girl each time and was wrong every single time?????

my point is you could definitely be having a boy

Good sign ZB! :luck: With my boys I think I felt movements all over. With this one I feel kicks only occasionally, I guess more on the left. What I feel all day long are the hands and elbows very low. Perhaps with my boys my placenta was lower, I felt much more knees and feet with them.

Well, now that baby is head down, on every ultrasound it is with it´s back to the left, face to the right and I feel elbows/feet/knees on the right. We´ll know what the baby is in a few weeks!

I just had to be monitored at the hospital last night, and they hooked the heartbeat monitor up very low on the left/middle of my belly. It made me more sure than ever that I am having a girl. :(

You're having a boy

Besides the dr always finds my baby's heartbeat lower left with the doppler and I am having a boy. He must really like the left because I ovulated from the left, he implanted on the left and so on and so on

They hooked up the monitor on the left/middle of my belly every time with all 3 of my pregnancies, and at least two of them are boys so don´t despair because of that! Hope you and your baby are doing fine.
