So I've been on here less than a week...and I'm addicted!! I introduced myself last week. I think I'm getting a personalized plan, but don't plan on trying until Nov or Dec so I'm waiting a bit to order on. Out of curiosity I was wondering if anyone planned on bd through O? I think I might. I have one dd and I did that with her. I was on IG at the time. I drank CL and ate Craisins, which I read a year later I wan't supposed to eat. I'm afraid to take supplements and even a little worried to use Rephresh or Sylk or KY jelly. The one thing I am ready for is the LE diet. I will do it 110%. Anyone else our there afraid of these things and just going with diet and bd through O? Cutoff got my 2nd ds, but I didn't know about the diet then. I have 3ds and an incredibly strong desire to give my little girl a sister. This will be my last baby. Your info has been so wonderful and I'm thankful I found this site. So much to think about...without stressing over it!!!! hahahaha

Welcome three men and a lady! I think the big thing with this website is it is NOT a "one size fits all" kind of advice. I have seen results of a girl BD'ing through O (Mocha is pregnant and due with a girl in sept., and I'm sure there is more, I just can't remember off top of my head!) I think doing diet is important any way. Glad to have you here!

Hello Auroara78. It's nice to meet you. Can I ask you what your plan is? Do a lot of ladies ttc a girl do a cutoff or O+12? I was all about O+12 until I got to this site and read all of the other options and Atomic's take on O+12. She's amazing!!! She must feel good when she lays down at night knowing she's helping so many women try to achieve their dream girl or boy. I'm going to get the plan that is $12 for the year. I'm curious to see what the forums are all about. How many children do you have or want?

I have two boys, and a little girl on the way. In 2-3 years (money willing), I want to try to sway for a 2nd DD, though my husband deeply wants a 3rd son still.

Atomic, as you may have already read, is not crazy about o+12. I think it's a bad idea plainly because of the stress it may induce. I know the one month I tried it when I was first swaying it was very hairy and confusing, and I was so worked up about it....I'm sure if I had concieved that month it would have been a boy becaue my blood was pumping hard in my veins with all the testortone and worry that was pulsating through my body!

I got pregnant on O day, in the early morning. (Although I had also DTD 3 days previously too..it wasn't just a one shot at O only.) Zanacal got her girl from one shot on O day, and plenty of other women on this site have gotten girls from all kind of frequency patterns.

I really do believe you got to do at the end of the day whatever frequency pattern makes you feel good about your sway and what reduces stress for you. I think short term stress sways much harder (in a bad way) than the perfect timing, because both boy/girls are concieved from varying patterns of timing, so to me timing has no importance other than obviously timing sex to meet the egg :)

Oh, and not many on here use Shettles, but again, we are very open-minded, and if a member really wanted to include it in their sway, we try our best to offer advice about it.

Diet is crazy important. I think Rephresh is awesome for lowering PH and keeping it low for a stress-free sway. I did get a BFN with represh but think it's a great sway tool, if you can handle a few BFNs maybe.

BD through O is def. a valid pink sway tactic and has worked for several people. The site owner, nuthinbutpink, has 3 girls conceived from BD thru O and she wasn't swaying pink, that's just what they chose to do when they were TTC.

MPO is that if you choose to BD thru O, you may want to at least start off including RepHresh, just to make sure your pH doesn't stay so high between BD rounds that it helps too many swimmers to survive.

Have you read this one yet? It's the case against timing.

I read it Atomic. But am still unsure. I'm afraid to use Rephresh. I've never done anything like this before. Even the supplements make me nervous. I had a mmc in between my 1st and 2nd...my mind has me thinking if I put anything into my body I could be "chancing it" so to speak. Maybe I'm just being silly. I'll be 37 next month and dh will be 39 in Sept. We've been quite fertile in the past. This is baby #5 and our final. If I do use Rephresh is it every few days? If I have dh do fr from about cd 6 or 7 when should I start bd and Rephresh. Before baby my cycles were about 30 or 31 days. I use CBE fertility monitor too. But I'll get the smiley faced opk's if they will help. I need some gender dreaming friends...lol

RepHresh is just every three days.

At your ages, I strongly suggest not doing O+12. When I was TTC with the Mature Mamas on IG, no one who was trying O+12 ever got pg while doing it.

Also, I personally think that if you're concerned about miscarriage, O+12 is about the WORST thing you can do. The egg only lives 12 hours after ovulation for many of us and it will be at the end of its lifespan at that point and deteriorating.

The best thing you can do to prevent miscarriage is by taking ample folic acid prior to pregnancy and in the first trimester!

I'm taking a prenatal. Should I stop and just take folic acid?

I would take just folic acid. I think prenatals sway blue too much imo.

Thanks. How much should I take?

1200-1600 mcg (MICROgrams) throughout the first trimester, then gradually wean back over 2-3 weeks to the amount in your prenatal.

If you've had repeated miscarrages, are over 40, or are a blue swayer, take 2000 mcg.

If you have a baby with trisomy or spina bifida, take 4000 mcg.
