12 week 2 day scan please look!

Just back from my 12 week 2 day scan. Baby bouncing around happy and healthy, mammy is very relieved.
The tech was lovely and when I asked does she have any idea of the gender, she asked what genders I already had. When I said 3 sons she smiled and said ohhh!
Now I'm up the walls guessing lol.
What do you think?any clues?:)

Based on her reaction I'd say girl but based on the nub (if what I see is a nub, i'm not sure) I say boy!

I don't see the nub, i think she said 'oh' just because you have 3 boys, at 12 weeks it can' t be that obvious yet. I think the bright white part is cord but I'm as clueless as you. :luck::XX::luck:

I just showed my mom and she reckons that the white bit is babys knee?
I've outlined what she thinks is the knee and leg and foot.
Do you think that's the case and there is no nub there at all?

Well, I think boyish nub in the first pic, and boyish skull, and no idea from the other pics! But from what she said, I would be thinking girl and very frustrated. Do you think she tried to give you a good gender shot?

When you say full nub can you tell me where the nub should be? I'm so confused lol. I know it's too early and it is all wishful thinking. But i'm just curious where others are seeing a nub?Thanks. xx

I had a hospital appointment today and managed to persuade the mid wife to give me another scan pic from my file. I think it's game over for me!!!:(

Hi Dloui thanks. No she did'nt say anything at all. But the little bobble at the top just looks like all the other early boy nubs i've seen. I'm just in panic mode now i guess. As this is definately our last baby.:worry: x

And no matter what happens, it will be okay. Trust me, I had GD REALLY bad with my DS3 and swore that was my last child, but 7 yrs later, I couldn't love that little boy more if he were a girl. He's my little cowboy/firefighter/all things totally boy. :) In fact, I would've tried sooner for another baby, but he's kept me so busy and so happy and so on my toes, that the thought hadn't occurred to me and now that time is running out, I really want another baby.

Beadinmom your so right! My ds3 is the light of my life and i would'nt change him for the world even though i had gd before his birth. It's been a struggle to even conceive this little person, and i have to remind myself that every day and try not feel disappointed but grateful for the gift growing inside me. You're not negative!!! You're just concerned!!! And I understand it...we all understand it. We wouldn't be here if we didn't. I keep telling myself that I just want a baby...a healthy, happy baby. But the truth is, I'm trying to sway for a reason. And I think if I feel like it hasn't worked, regardless, it's disappointing.
I am still holding out hope this is your baby girl, but if it's not...he's the luckiest little boy in the world, he fought hard to get here - just to have you as his mom and to be surrounded by 3 sweet brothers and so much love. :)

I cant see much on your new picture, but your first shot still looks very, very boyish to me. The leg you drew in on page 2 is not correct, its just behind the nub, you can see hints of it. I am pretty sure that that is the nub and it is right up there, like my babys (the one I carry right now) and he is definitely a boy. I wish I hadnt found out as early as I did as it seems so long before we get to meet them. I so hope I am wrong, but I would never lie to anyone to make them feel better as you will find out sooner or later anyway and there is nothing worse than having false hopes. Is this your last baby? xxx

I really wish I had waited longer to find out... but I am glad that my boys nub looked clearly boyish, I never got my hopes up at all. You still have a chance to hear girl, since this is only a still shot. I definitely saw my boys nub during the live scan and it was SO boyish and the OB agreed as well.... so there was no doubt. Yours is only a still picture x

I am now thinking that there will be other ways I will get (more) girls into my life. LIke for example I think my friend will ask me to become a god parent to her 3rd daughter that was born some weeks ago. Or I am thinking that maybe later on in life I might get to take care of a girl in need, like a foster parent. Or maybe I will get lots of grand daughters one day. it hurts to think my daughter will not have a sister, but I come from a girls family so I am probably overrating this. I think it must be great to have 3 siblings of the same sex, I have 2 :) Its just us parents that wish to raise both, but like I say, you never know how a girl that needs you as a mother figure will enter your life....xx

Nini that is very true! I had comforted myself before ttc this baby that i would be maybe lucky to be blessed with loads of little grand daughters, plenty of girl friends for my sons, and hopefully a niece one day lol. I only have one sister and she has a boy. My husbands family mostly all have boys too, so i suppose it is expected of me each time i get pregnant to maybe have the girl they all want too iykwim. I have accepted now that i most likely will hear boy and if it is a girl, well.... i think i just might collapse in shock ha.

My scan has been rescheduled to this evening instead of tomorrow. So at least i don't have long to find out and i can finally have a good nights sleep lol.

It's a Boy!! :DS:

I feel totally relieved i now know. Not for one second did i feel disappointment, which suprised me to be honest. Within seconds he had his crown jewels on show lol. There was no mistaken it is my 4th son. :heart:

He is measuring a week ahead so my new due date is the 19th December so hopefully he will make it for his first Christmas after all.

I just want to say a big huge thank you to you all. For your honesty (which i believe made it easier to accept my 4th son), for your support and advice and most of all for sharing all your own experiences and outcomes that gave me that glimmer of hope.

I would have made a good Queen bearing all these boys lol.

I wish each and every one of you all the best on your journey ttc & swaying, and wish you all a happy and healthy pregnancy. xxx

Congratulations! I saw a lady today by herself with 4 boys. As the boys got closer to us, we realized the little 2 were twins. She stayed behind and she had a 5th with her while the other 4 played together. They had a blast and my girls jumped right in with them. I appreciate families with multiple same-gendered children so much more now. I wanted to tell her how great her family is but she never came close enough so I could!

My old neighbor has 4 boys and they LOVE her so much. I see them post on FB to her and it is awesome. Boys rock! Congrats!
