I've been having lots of headaches since I had Eliza. I can't remember exactly when they started but probably in the first week after I gave birth and I have a headache literally every day. Sometimes it's worse than others. Sometimes I need painkillers and sometimes I'm just aware that my head feels tight or I get a quick flash of pain in a spot on my head. My midwife checked my blood pressure yesterday and it was really low even for me - something like 107/58, which might explain why I also feel light headed sometimes! I will of course go to the doctor if it doesn't improve but I'm thinking maybe it's hormonal and I wondered whether anybody had experienced anything similar. The midwife's advice was to take better care of myself and to make sure I'm keeping my blood sugar levels steady and drinking plenty and to take a pregnancy/breastfeeding supplement.

I had this with DS2 where my head always hurt and felt light headed. It got better for me when I quit BF'ing, but I think the problem was that I wasn't eating or drinking enough fluids. I think if you can really focus on making sure you eat/drink enough it should get better.

I get like that when I don't drink enough water. Especially the first month after my daughter was born. It has gotten better lately.

Thanks ladies. I really hope it's just that and that it improves soon!

I had *daily* migraines (with an aura) for a week after my son was born.
