Because we, especially the boy moms, are control freaks! I will cling to the hope that we have some kind of say, even if it ups our odds by what- 5%? I know we can't quantify it, but there I go again, control freak. Ha! And if your husband is anything like mine he wants me to have my girl because I want my girl. He (says he) doesn't care either way.

Very true craving! Yes, he says he doesn't care either way but he knows I want my princess. I think deep down he wants a boy even though the last boy turned out to be pro mommy!

CRAVING!!! Your boys are absolutely ADORABLE!!! :) You're so right...gotta love the "y's" ;)

So my temp bounced back up this morning...
My Ovulation Chart

I don't know what to think...I guess I just shouldn't. First, FF had me ovulating on the day I got my first OPK, which would've been inline with my symptoms (if I had implantation at an early day of 4dpo), but was weird, because could I really ovulate the day I got my LH surge? Shouldn't it have been about 24 hrs after the pos opk? So then FF moves my O date to CD 14 which makes sense with the pos opk on cd 12, but means my symptoms don't make sense. But if I had an implantation on 4 dpo, then the 5dpo dip could make sense, right? Whatever. I guess I'll just wait a few more days and test. Who am I kidding, I poas this morning...lol.

Thanks! I like 'em pretty good. :) On the positive opk, some women will ovulate same day as the positive, although it's normally 24-36 hours afterwards. Is it possible that you didn't test/ missed the surge on the day before that? We'll know everything...in retrospect. So frustrating I know! And the waiting game continues!

Which is actually great. Imagine the pressure if our DH's wanted a girl as much as we did? At least this way they'll be psyched and pull us through when/if we experience our gd. I think my hubby would be an awesome daddy to a little girl, but I guess he doesn't know (or isn't letting on) that he's missing out.

No, I couldn't have missed it...I test twice a day...my first test that morning at 10a was neg, test at 6p was positive.

Thanks, Lassie! Maybe we should start a thread showing all of our boys' cute baby pictures and we'll all get over the gd. :) Blah! I hate that stark white. I stared yesterday until I strained my eyeballs trying to make a line materialize. It was not to be!

So you bought three FRER, right? Are you going to wait a couple of days to test? I read a post on another site where someone was asking if they *could* be pregnant and this one lady advised, "1. Go buy a three pack of pregnancy tests. Resolve not to use them until your period is late. 2. Rip them open in your driveway and run inside to pee on one immediately. 3. Save the second until your period is late. 4. If you're like me, you'll need a third one." Ha!

lucklass - whats a rainbow baby???

It is a baby concieved after a miscarriage. I went for my standard 14 week check up in mid April to be told my babies heart had stopped and I had no symptoms at all and my body refused to reject the pregnancy as the doctors put it so I had to have a d&c and wait for the lining of my womb to build back up. Dh and I reckon that this was the first month I probably had a chance of getting pregnant although I was still very upset when AF arrived last month but fingers crossed this is a sticky and our rainbow baby arrives next March.

On the topic of opk's I had 3 days of positives this month including ovulation day.

Yes did buy some frer, and had some still left over, so I have 5 at the moment.
Trying not get disheartened by this mornings bfn, countdown to pregnancy says I only had a 30% chance of Bfp. Will try and skip testing tomorrow and wait till Thursday, 10dpo. But I'm not really optimistic, no real definite signs, and my temps are a bit blah.

Lucklass, I'm so so happy for you, im sure you're little bean will stick! Here's to a healthy 9 months and before you know it you'll be holding your little bundle of joy :)

just have to post this because there is no one else to share it with!

the other day i ordered my soy isoflavones in prep for next month, and i have been reading up this afternoon on success stories with soy - and i am filled with so much confidence! I know its not 'girl sway' ingredient, and the only girl aspect i will have is the LE diet - but i just want to be pregnant already!

on one forum i was reading, 78% of women who went on soy conceived in their first soy cycle (they had all been trying for anywhere between 3-18+ cycles without soy)

so anyway - pretty pointless post, but i have found a renewed confidence and excitement and have found a new dose of hope and just HAD to share :)

In Fertility Friend, just hit the "share" button below your chart and it gives you several selections on the next screen. I highlight the thumbnail one (third selection down) and just drop it in the reply box.

Callmecrazy- how'd it go this morning? I'm at 10dpo and not a glimmer of a line, so beginning the slow letdown. I know it's early but for me it's a little easier to cope with the negative a little bit at a time. :) But, on the optimisitic side, hubby reminded me that when I got pregnant with my first after 14 months of trying, it as the day before my 27th birthday and I couldn't believe it had been so long. I wanted to POAS but had used whatever I had up. He said he'd go up to the store to buy me more and I told him not too, didn't want him to spend more money on more negative tests. Got home, POAS, and then got the best news of my life. That was at 13dpo. I can't remember exactly but knowing myself, I think I probably peed on a stick or two too early before 13dpo and got bfn. So keeping hope alive!

Boys' clothes are coming a long way, aren't they? Do you know what inspired me last night? I was googling away about "no symptoms and bfp" (surprise, surprise) and I saw a ttc lady's siggy. It was a list, probably 15 or more entries long, dating back to 1997. Early miscarriages, blighted ovums, failed high tech. I scanned down her list all the way to 2010 and still no birthdate. Her avatar was a preggo belly with text over it that said "I WILL have a baby bump." It broke my heart and realized how lucky we are to have our little ones. I can't even imagine that kind of heartbreak and optimism.

Beadin, how are you feeling this morning?

Luckylass- any preggo symptoms?

Hoping for your bfp tomorrow, Lassie, but as you know even preggos only get positives at 10dpo about half the time!

Fish, thank you- and that doesn't sound too late at all. Do you temp?

Do any of you guys remember? (If I did set it up, it was brief and it doesn't prompt like that every time so I forget. You know ladies I was just thinking this morning that it would be super crazy if I end up pregnant this month. Reason being...everything was all screwed up. I used IC OPK's and I really couldn't tell if my positive was a positive until I got negatives (I know that was confusing). I was out of the state for two weeks. The diet was shot to heck. The only thing I had going for myself was the super great quality CM and DTD EOD.

cravingsalt - i know what you mean about seeing other people's struggle to conceive. I think the other thing that made it hit home for me was a lady on here - i can't recall her name - but she posted recently about losing her baby at 21 weeks :( it was a boy, and she was hoping for a girl, and had experienced a lot of GD - then of course the utter heartbreak at losing her baby, almost brought a tear to my eye. It doesn't matter what they are - as long as they are healthy!

so here i am filling myself with silly hope.
for the last 2 days i have had mild diarreah, and last night i had a not so mild bout of it (sorry TMI)
no stomach issues at all no tummy aches or pains....just inexplicable diarreah. Given I'm taking iron tablets, I'm normally the extreme opposite of diarreah.
Also last night i had definite AF like cramping - it was definitely in my uterus and NOT my stomach. It was definitely AF like and very low down (af is due in 6 days so too early for 'actual' af cramps). DS woke a couple of times last night and whenever i woke i felt the cramps so they obviously carried on through the night.
Havn't tested this morning - will do it tomorrow at 10 do

I'm slightly annoyed, i didn't want anything to raise my hopes to high, but this has now!

July 17th, 2012, 03:13 PM
Shellbelle when I was pregnant with my son I had AF type cramps for one day with a little IB. That is why I started to get a little hopeful. Last month I started cramping from 4 DPO all the way through 8 or 9DPO and ended in a BFN. This time I had cramping yesterday at 7DPO and that's it. None at all today just a little dull ache here and there. Yep the months I have symptoms have always been BFN's. :fx: for you too Shelbelle!

I've been having the same issues....I hope that's a good sign for both of us! I can't wait to see your results!! I'll be 10 dpo on Friday (by my calculations, not FF's) and I think I'm going to do my early Clear blue digital.
I'm not having cramps anymore, just diarrhea and a heaviness in my pelvis, if that makes sense.
This waiting SUCKS!!!

Chessika
July 17th, 2012, 03:35 PM
Thank you Lassie and Shellbelle for guessing! I think too, that I ovulated at CD 11. (The third time in a row since taking Vitex). So I guess it is a good thing, that I put the smilie on CD 10. I had the positive OPK in the morning, in it says on the Clearblue website, that after 24 to 36 hours ovulation should happen. But since the sperms need some hours to get ready, I guess putting a smilie in the evening of my positive could be to late. We tried to make a second attempt on the day of the positive, but it was too much pressure for my husband and the following day we managed, but again it was a big struggle (ok, my husband would not be happy, writing about this here  ). So I guess, if we must try again, I should not let him do the FR (he has to take meds for a normal sperm count anyways).

Do any of y'all do the VIP thing on FF? I'm wondering if it's worth it. Although, if I'm pregnant, then I don't suppose I need all the extra info. LOL.

Shellbelle
July 17th, 2012, 04:04 PM
BeadinMom, I do. It was inexpensive and I like having the extra info. I just bought it this month, thinking it would be a waste if I ended up pregnant, but if I do get a BFP this month I will be happy to have wasted that money. ;)

Of course, keep in mind that this is a recommendation from a woman who is currently googling about pregnancy and looking at baby things on the Target website. I need an intervention already, and I'm only 3dpo. LOL

I've been googling like a mad woman, too. I even lay in bed at night with my cell phone googling early pregnancy symptoms. I just want to know if I am!!!

Hey!!! Wasn't there some old test they used to do where they killed a rabbit to find out if a woman was pregnant? How did that work? Not asking cause I'm gonna kill a rabbit or anything, just curious... (she says as she googles where to buy a rabbit. LOL...totally kidding!!!)

I have worn out the early pregnancy symptoms sites over the past few months. Now I've moved on to more about what's happening at each stage of conception, because it's just too early for symptoms. And yes, even googling from bed before I go to sleep. But I have an awesome little shopping list going for when I do get that BFP.

Edited to add: http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll67/hlandherr/figurea2.jpg

Thought you all would like this little graphic about conception/implantation.

That was a VERY cool graphic!! Still hard to believe that's happening inside of my body. LOL.

I had a really cool pregnancy calendar when I was pregnant with #3, but I don't remember the site. It would tell you daily what was happening...like the baby has eyelashes now, etc.

Thanks for the advice about FF...if I'm not this month, I'll definitely do the VIP! :)

Following on from last nights AF cramps and diareah i had a distinct stabbing / stretching pain. Only lasted a couple of minutes, but was definitely there!

In exactly 10 hours from now it will be 10dpo AM testing - I've got my self hopeful...

i also have a confession - i had to buy a baby gift for a family friend, and whilst in the baby store i picked up 3 little unisex newborn items and have hidden them in a little velvet box....i just melted when i saw them in the shop. I have not brought ANYTHING baby at all....and i just couldn't resist. I daren't even tell DH.

Do any of y'all do the VIP thing on FF? I'm wondering if it's worth it. Although, if I'm pregnant, then I don't suppose I need all the extra info. LOL.

I have it - and love it, will be renewing if this one runs out (i got a 3 month subscription)
the extra info is great, and really helps with obsessing!

So down today. Had a big heart-to-heart with hubby yesterday and if I'm not preggo this cycle we may just call it a day. He'll go more but do I really want to push him? Probably not. We had our misgivings about having a third- financially it would be hard, but do-able; things would just be really tight with daycare in the beginning since we both work full-time. Time and energy-wise, I knew it would also be a little stretch because with a mama’s boy two-year old and a developmentally delayed (possibly mildly autistic) three-year old we already have our hands pretty full. But they are both so sweet-natured and great sleepers and so funny- absolutely the lights of my life, and my heart just wanted another. Gender desire also definitely fueled the...fever. I know two attempts aren’t much, but we said we’d give it a little go, give fate a little chance to intervene, then maybe just try and move on. It may be that time. Anyway, sorry for the ramble, but got another bfn at 11dpo this morning and had to say it to somebody.

Sorry you are feeling down craving salt! I really hope you get your BFP....11DPO is still early. I know things will be hard with little ones, but maybe remind your DH of all the special x-mas holidays and gatherings where having a larger family will mean so much. My fingers are tightly crossed for you!

My hopes are up for you too! Those symptoms sound great! P.S. my husband walked in on me googling in bed and scared me half to death, I nearly threw my phone across the room. It's funny, because he just shakes his head but I hate to tell him I'm looking up "chances of BFP and BFN after X DPO", AGAIN! He thinks we're talking a foreign language.

I know exactly how you feel. And my sister, who has two boys, has all of my girl clothes saved just in case she ever has another. I doubt she will give them back to me if we have another girl! I have been so tempted to buy stuff, especially another sling, because I love them so much. So far, all I've bought secretly are pregnancy books for the kindle. But I have a long, long wish list on Target and Amazon. :)

LOL dh doesn't even ask me anymore.

Feeling just fine today. No symptoms except continuing twinges on both sides. My 2yo ds woke up with a horrible diaper rash so I'm taking him to the dr this morning. He's big enough to say "my tee tee hurts" and "want to sit on the potty" so it might be time for potty boot camp. The kid has seriously sensitive skin.

I had a severe diaper rash with my two oldest boys and this is the only thing that worked even after the prescription failed. They had a virus and had places that were actually cracked/bleeding from all the diarrhea that they had had, so after using all over the counter creams and prescription that I could, the pharmacist told me to try this.

He said to get a tube of Hydrocortisone Cream (anti-iching cream called Cortizone-10 in US) and a tube of
Clotrimazole Cream (athletes foot cream called Lotrimin in the US).

Take both tubes and empty them both together into a seal-able container. Then mix them both together until they are blended well. Put this on the bottom each time you change the diaper. And you should see improvement shortly. For my kids I had to put this on and lay them on a blanket without diapers with the cream on bec of the cracked skin and then once it was better, I used diapers again. I hope this helps your little one.

Thank you, Kraizy! I will try that. We've had to use lotramin before due to yeasty rashes, but this time the dr says it's just irritation and to try something that is not medicated, like Vaseline. I don't even have any in the house, so we had to go to the store. I generally let him run around pantless for an hour or so every day, just to air it all out, so that sounds like it will help too. Thank you all for the advice!

Beadin I understand how you feel dear. I just knew I would be O'ing while we were in Texas this time around. Thankfully, we made it home in the nick of time. We were cutting it close...any longer and we would have been in trouble. DH and I sneaked around and DTD in Texas. We just waited until our son went to sleep and did what we had to do. No one was the wiser...there were 13 people in that house by the way. That put a new meaning to "by any means necessary" LOL!

And for you, BeadinMom! Yes, it would be difficult to get anything "accomplished" in that sort of environment. ;)

He's napping, so at least for now he's feeling better. We'll try some naked time when he wakes up. Has anyone tried the diaper rash bath soak stuff? I've seen it at the store but have never bought it. Maybe it's time to try, just to see if it eases his discomfort any. None of my other kids ever had problems like this, so I'm willing to try anything as long as it won't make him worse.

Well nothing to report today. BB's or what my son likes to call them (bewbies) feel a little sore but not as bad as last month. I don't know if that is a good thing or bad thing. Sorry Krazy, but new month, fresh try. Lots of dust for you next month!

Craving, I have been trying for over a year. I have my first RE appointment next week. I gave myself a cut off of 18 months from the first date with my RE, and if I am not pregnant I am done. But 2 months when TTC a girl isn't long. Remember you are making yourself less fertile, so maybe cut yourself a little slack and try a few more months. If you are sad that this might be it, then that must mean that you want another baby. :) There is nothing selfish about giving your sons another sibling.

Not an awful lot really except cramping and a lot of egg white/watery cm. Sorry if that is too much info. The only other thing is tingly nipples which I never had on any other pregnancy and have no morning sickness which I suffered from massively last time.

I hope I have worked out the link to my chart, its just I had slow temp rises and my ovulation day was changed a few times and stuff like that so it may be of some use/interest for anyone with the same patterns as me.

Good Morning Ladies! I am officially 10DPO today and totally obsessing! I'm trying to just tell myself that I am NOT pregnant so that I won't be disappointed.

Things that I am doing to keep myself occupied: reading Fifty Shades part II, working on my homework for next week, thinking about my sway for next month, finding us a bigger house to rent.

Things that I am obsessing about now that I am 10DPO: If the baby has implanted yet (those cramps at 7DPO have really got me curious), why I feel super drained, why I am craving salt, why I am super cranky, if I should design a t-shirt for my son that says big brother to tell the family once I find out.

Ok so that last one was super random but I have thought about it

How is everyone else chugging along?

I keep trying to remind myself that my chances aren't great this month, but it's hard not to obsess, isn't it. If I had your symptoms it would be super hard. They sound promising!

Chugging along is a good way of putting it. My temps are up a little this morning but it's still too early to get excited about that, especially since its just one day. I'm also really gassy this morning -- my chest and ribs hurt from it -- but I didn't eat anything weird last night. Maybe hormones? It sounds like you're doing pretty well keeping yourself occupied!

I'm also really gassy this morning -- my chest and ribs hurt from it -- but I didn't eat anything weird last night. Maybe hormones? It sounds like you're doing pretty well keeping yourself occupied!

Shellbelle when you expect it least is when it will happen. This was the first month we were really and truely able to try since my miscarriage and I was so sure it would not happen for us I did loads of reading up over the 2WW and went shopping for:

-Saw Palmento
-Vitex
-Crystal light
-ph strips
-rephresh
-new basal thermometer
-negative ion bracelet and car plug in

These wouldn't be readily available in my area in Ireland (I never heard of any of them before last month) so I ordered them all online from the UK and US and they are all arriving now in the last few days after I got my bfp. The only thing is if we are lucky enough for this to be a sticky bean this time and I get past my first 14 weeks I will not need them again so will give them to someone on here. I won't want anything for them and they are all brand new with tamper proof seals still attached so no point wasting the guts of $150 dollars..... lol

Girls I was really gassy and crampy a couple of days before my bfp. I posted here a few times about it I think a bit back. Have fingers and toes crossed for you all.

Hi all

Been lurking here for a while keeping my fingers crossed for you all so thought i'd say hi. Can't believe there aren't anymore bfp's yet come on girls - gives me hope to watch it happening although i feel like i'm stalking you all (find the time between o and af really boring).

Although think i'm coming out in smypathy with a few of you - i keep feeling so tired and crabby and slightly sick at times plus i keep getting this weird metallic taste in my mouth. Can't decide if i'm coming down with something (one of my sons had a bug a week or so ago) or if its hormonal as my cycle has been really weird this month. Keep wondering if maybe i am pregnant (we did have a whoopsie moment but thought it was too far away from o to catch ) but need to get a grip !!!!!!!

Hi Mrs P! How far away from o was it? That metallic taste is a pretty classic symptom. Welcome!

It is 73 degrees in my house. I have all the fans on. And I am burning up! Must have had a little progesterone surge last night. I'm still having o type pains, mainly on my left side, and sometimes they are quite sharp, but that feeling of pressure on that side is constant -- maybe from the soy? Trying not to focus on every little twinge.. I'm only 5 dpo so it makes me feel like I'm obsessing in a crazy way lol.

Yep I second that. I had a metallic taste in my mouth on some of my pregnancies before. Fingers crossed it is a good sign for you Mrs_P

Shellbelle the cramping was my main symptom this time round so here's hoping. It is a positive sign at this stage though.

Hi Shellbelle

I think its too far away for be possible we dtd on sunday night but i didn't get my opk+ til friday night - think i o'd sat night so 7 days longer than i think possible. But has been a weird cycle i did ask if anyone else had experienced similar in another thread. Mon morning i had this weird taste in my mouth which has been there on and off since. Occassionally i keep feeling sicky but then it goes. I had period type pains wed (yesterday) morning and lots of cm so thought maybe i got my o date wrong and got a opk+ then and at lunch time but had gone by pm. Had a few more cramping pains today on and off but not as bad.

Don't really think i could be preggo as i wouldn't have symptoms so soon am only 5 days past when i think i o'd, also didn't have any symptoms with my other three until i got a bfp (although i knew with ds3 the minute i saw the opk+ the day after we dtd i'd be pregnant (first try) although as we were getting married 3 days after af was due i wasn't really that focused on what might be) and never had the funny taste thing before. Really strange though tastes metallically and keeps making me feel thirsty even though i'm not. I turn 30 in a month so i think i'm just getting old LOL.

Sounds like you've def got some hormonal things going on though hope you get your bfp i've been watching your attempt (not in some crazy way though!) fingers crossed for you we could do with a few bfp's around here

Good morning ladies!!!
Did my daily test...LOL...and a BFN...although there was an evap line this time...the first time I've ever seen one in person and I freaked out thinking it was positive. Then I pulled the test apart and it was obvious what it was. :(
Oh well...it is only 8dpo (according to one of the systems I'm going by, LOL) so I'll continue my testing :)

Welcome Mrs. P! Hope you're here for good and that your BFP is right around the corner!! :)

Mrs P fx for you. Are you temping? That is the only way I know for sure when I o. I'm so glad I am this month, because if I just went by the opks id be going crazy thinking I was late but getting bfns.

Meadin, I got one last month, too, on a blue dye test. And within the read time! I tore apart and held it up to the light before I was sure what it was. Such a let down.

Kim, 5dpo here. When are you testing?

Mrs_P
July 19th, 2012, 11:49 AM
no not this time i tried it my little man last time. I got an opk+ on the usual day but i got a temp drop the day before (neg opk) and four days later neither of which seem to fit with o so didn't bother this time, that and i'd lent my thermometer to a friend whose son was ill and with my littlest i never seem to have a chunk of sleep anyway at the moment he keeps waking up about 2 or 3ish so never asleep that long before i get up

Shellbelle let me tell you it is SO hard trying not to focus on how your body feels. Especially when it normally (as in if we were not ttc) doesn't feel that way. Why is it that our bodies start freaking out and mimicking pregnancy symptoms ONLY when we are ttc? GRRRR!

I never notice this stuff unless we're ttc. Never. I'm sure it's there, but my mind doesn't dwell on it because it has no significance in a non-ttc cycle. I have been keeping really good notes to help remind myself that signs show up EVERYmonth lol.

Ok ladies so what just happened to me makes me really want to test but I am holding out!

In our area they have it pretty chilly. I decided to eat lunch outside with my co worker because I wanted to thaw out. I ate my lunch and let me tell you...I felt so dizzy and hot. Now granted it is HOT outside but we were in the shade and I am typically cold by nature. I just felt like the energy had been drained from my body and I felt my head start pounding....it was just a super unwell feeling. (Much like I felt when I was pregnant with my son). But again...not getting my hopes up.

This time from ovulation the whole way through but on ds2 I think I started cramping about 7-8 dpo. I wasn't tracking back the as I am embarrassed to admit until a couple of months ago I knew nothing about ovulation, luteal phases etc and I am 31.

So. I feel like a total IDIOT.

I've been using natural progesterone cream...not for my luteal phase, but because my hair had been falling out. Not male pattern baldness or anything, just noticing it in the shower a lot...def a lot more than when I'm using the cream. So I asked my doctor if I could use it and he said fine. (I also took progesterone supplements after I got pregnant with my boys because I was low, so I thought this would probably help with that, too.) Anyway, I think he thinks I'm crazy - I don't think he thinks it's going to do much anyway, so he said it was okay.
Having said all that, for the last 3 months, I've been using the cream in my luteal phase. No problems. Then this month I switched my brand name.
I think all the symptoms I'm experiencing are from the stupid cream. I'm tired, frequent urination, diarrhea, cramping, increased BBT, vivid dreams...all from the cream. UGH. I feel like such a dummy and so disappointed. But I still don't understand the dark pink d/c I had that night and the next morning on CD4 & 5.
I guess there's still hope, but I'm afraid my symptoms don't count for anything. :(

Still no news from anyone come on girls......

update from me - still got weird metally taste, feel thirsty when not, slightly sick at times and boobs feel strange today?????

But then again not last month, the one before i had a similar thing, period 4 days late and lots of cramping and spotting for a week before af and BFN although that was before i'd found this brill site so wasn't swaying. Not that we have this time was planning to try next month once i'd got all sorted for my sway so this is a sort of whoops moment.

Prob doesn't bode too well for me if i am because i haven't been swaying yet and have worst life style ever.... Really rough time at home - poorly kids with one thing or another, working part time and had lots of stress with my job potentially changing, up til all hours with uni work (i do open uni) for my exams and on top of that was not sleeping as ds3 keeps waking me up at 2 every morning so tired and very stressed. On top of all of that pretty much been addicted to chocolate digestives and diet coke (for the sugar to keep me awake) really bad diet and over weight. Also did not do fr or abstrain and dtd 6 to 7 days before suspected o (boy zone) amazed if i've gotten pg at all and prob 0 chance of my dd if i have sorry to vent

Hi ladies,
Thank you so much for making me feel better. This sucks. I can't even stop the cream to see if it continues because if I am, that can cause problems.
I took another test this morning and a BFN and since I got an evap line yesterday, I wasted another test, so now I'm out of tests (except for my early clear blue which I'm saving) According to FF, I'm only 8 dpo (the other system I'm using says 9) so it's still early, but it's also early to have all the symptoms I'm having, I would think.
(Although the ebay seller says he sent my tests on the 17th so they should be here soon...good gracious I am addicted, LOL!)

My temp did dip a little this morning, but my youngest decided to come into my bedroom at 4:45 this morning, so I took my temp then and used the conversion thing. It doesn't seem like a good thing though and it probably means I'm not.

I am so glad I found this place...not just for all the amazing info from Atomic, but also for the love and support of the ladies here. You are all too sweet. Thank you. ♥

OMG Ladies we are going mad with this waiting, lol. So today I am 11DPO and I started cramping again this am. I don't think it is a good sign. I didn't even realize I was pregnant until I remembered I had missed my period.

Hi P4P i been cramping the morning the last day or so as well as some cramping about 3-4dpo feels like af is coming but then goes away. Still really tired all the time, grumpy for no reason and still got funny metal taste in my mouth, very emotional and feeling slightly sick at times.

You never know i remember getting a lot of cramping with one of my others - kept worrying i'd miscarry it was that bad but he was fine, is nearly 2 now so fingers crossed for you x

Still early days for you to too beadin your the same dpo as me i only tested once the other day bfn but am getting funny symptoms (tests are £15 at local shop :omg: so keeping my last one for an emergency). With my others i didn't get a proper bfp til af date (think i got a slight a day before with ds2).

Although with ds1 i didn't know i was pregnant complete surprise (we'd only just brought our house the month before). A friend finally convinced me to test as i'd been feeling a bit odd (still getting af although really light and only a weekend of morning sickness i thought was sunstroke; young and naive). I'm probably the only person ever to fail a pregnancy test!!!! The test gave a - for bfn, a + for bfp i got a | not once but twice much to the amuzement of my friend - turns out i was that far along the test couldn't cope

Mrs. P, I'm super grumpy too... My DH keeps saying its because AF is on the way.. Grrrrrrr.

So funny about your PG test tho, don't you wish we could get PG without realizing it and skip all this ttc stuff? I do! My first PG was s surprise too and I knew something was up but the test I took came back BFN (even after missing AF). I didn't get a BFP until a week later. I remember coming out of the bathroom and telling DH "But I don't know how to take care of a baby!" We had only been married 6 mos.

DH and I had only been married for 2 months and I remember it was just me and the dog when I first POAS (the addiction started there) and I used 2 out of the 3 tests. I literally cried for like an hour and when DH walked in from work I spilled my guts that I was pregnant. He made me take the 3rd test and then call the # on the back to double check it was right. LOL!!!!!

Beadin - glad to hear your tests showed up!! Sorry about the BFN, but it is still early! I didn't get mine with DS2 until 13 DPO!

LOL!!! Love it, NC!!!

For DS2, my DH was sleeping in a separate bedroom...I was in the master bed with DS1 and he had to work. So one night we had terrible weather and lost power. I couldn't sleep and I couldn't take it anymore, so I poas. And it was positive. I was so excited and shocked, I went down to DH's room with a flashlight and my stick. LOL. I threw open the door, shoved the stick and flashlight in his face and said, "IS THIS TWO LINES?" I'm lucky I didn't give him a heart attack. lol. He squinted at it with one eye and said, "Well, if I wanted to believe it was one line I don't think I could."

Love these stories, they are so awesome!

For DS1, my period was two and a half weeks late and while the thought did occur to me that I may have been pregnant, I didn't remember us having sex that month (Jan 07) so I kept dismissing it, saying 'OK you're not the Virgin Mary, you don't get pregnant' from just nowhere! Then I had to go to my eye doctor for my annual exam and on the sheet it specifically asked "are you pregnant?" I checked "No" but it bothered me the whole day, that I might have lied on my exam eye, lol. So it was still bothering me so much that later that night, I pulled open the lower bathroom counters and dug around in all my junk for a spare pregnancy test. We had a preg. scare the previous year, and I was praying that I had one test leftover, because after the scare (I ended up buying like 10 tests, all BFNs, but really thought I was pregnant) I was hell-bent never to go testing crazy again.

So anyway, I found one test leftover, frantically ripped open the packaging, and tried to pee. Well, I couldn't. I was pee shy. So after 15 or 20 mins in the bathroom trying to reassure my pee to come, (I had to promise it I wasn't pregnant!) finally it started and as I was still peeing the test went positive!

The next thing I remember was rushing out of the bathroom to the living room, thrusting the stick in my DH's face and saying "LOOK!"

He took one look at the test and said, "Don't the lines have the same color?" The test line was much darker than the reference line, LOL.

I told him "no" that it was def. pos. He said "Well, let's go to Kroger, I need beer now and I want to get one of those tests that actually say it in plain English."

DH later admitted that he thinks he may gotten me awake in the middle of night and had sex with me. I asked if I had been awake, and he said he couldn't remember~ Lovely to get pregnant when you may not have been awake~ in any case, I don't remember DS1's conception at all, just that I might have been sleeping through it. DH swears he pulled out in time! (but obviously....LOL)

AF's here in full force! And 2 days early...
I suppose one thing that i am lucky about and thankful for is regular short cycles - so my waiting time is minimal, it must be so hard for those with 30+ cycle lengths
So I'm on CD1.
Will keep an eye on this thread though because i want to see your BFP's!
Come on girls - this is another super quiet month - you need to ramp it up!

8dpo here. Really sore bbs and woke up burning up and sweating at night, which I haven't done since I was pg with my 2yo. If my body is faking me out im going to be so dissappointed! Didn't test this morning but I will again tomorrow.

Sorry Lassie...:hugs: But alas there is a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow right? At least you are back in baby making mode and you know the outcome. I hate this feeling pregnant and seeing negatives. I just want this wait to be done already.

Well I am 13DPO and I definitely should have gotten a positive by now. AF is due Tuesday so I am just waiting on her arrival. Since I am a lazy swayer...this month I am going to skip breakfast to favor low blood sugar. Keep up with the Crystal Light for both myself and DH. I am going to add baby asprin and soy isoflavones. I seriously thought about cassava but after reading a blog from a friend of mine who was dealing with IF issues I decided against it. Not that she took it or anything but she became pregnant with twins. One was born still and the other was on a ventilator...she ended up passing shortly after a year. I know that twins can be a magical thing but that is one thing I would not try to force. If twins are meant for us then great but I won't be upping my chances with this one...

Oh and I may even favor my CM a bit with Robitussin. I know that is a boy sway move BUT we are swaying with past IF issues so I have to be cautious about certain things IF I want to be pregnant. I remember atomic once said...a sway is for nothing if you can't get pregnant (or something like that).

On another note...we are moving to a bigger house. We are renters but we found a place closer to where we work and our church and family so we are moving....like soon...like in a month, lol.

I remember distinctively that my boobs were sore in the armpit area with my first and they are sore there again but unfortunately I keep getting dang negatives on the hpt's. I feel disappointed too that I am having all these symptoms and nothing to show for them. Sigh...

Hi ladies! Sorry for being MIA. The witch got me and I've been in a bit of a funk; we're not going to try anymore for now, maybe for good. Hubby took back the "now or never" (which I realized was making my slightly obsessive) and we decided to take 6 months to get our (my?) mind around whether we really should go for a third or whether we should count our blessings at two and move forward. I realized I was spending too much time longing for a girl and had to stop myself and look at my two amazing boys and honestly ask myself if I'm trying for the right reasons. I always dodged the question, even just mentally when just asking myself in my bed at night, whether I wanted another child or if I just wanted a girl. I realized that I totally rushed into #2 (because of gender desire) and while I'm so glad they're close now, it probably would've been nice to enjoy my time with just #1 without trying to fill a void of some sort. I realized that I may be doing it again. I know that I've only been on these boards a few months but my mind has been racked with gender desire for much longer. In the next six months I am going to try not to think about boy vs girl or even about having another, but just enjoy my two little ones and get some perspective. I'll have to see if the baby fever creeps back in. When/if it does, I'll know I am trying for the right reasons, and because it's good for everyone, not just me. I have to tell you as disappointing as it was to have bfn and tear myself away from the excitement and anticipation of ttc, I am at peace when I look at my guys. If I want to have GD let go of me I'm going to have to let go of it. And if I come back, it'll be for the right reasons.

Sorry for the long rambling post, but I wanted to check in, especially with you gals in the 2ww, before I left for a while. You've all been super supportive and wonderful, and it's so nice to meet people who are so generous and positive. I wish you all the bfp's and genders you dream of! I know they're coming.

I totally understand what you're saying...it's a part of why I waited so long to try to have another baby. I wanted to enjoy my boys and I can honestly say, I truly have. It's taken me 7 yrs, but I'm ready for a baby again.
I think it's great that you and your DH are on the same page now and you don't feel rushed into anything. That's kind of what my DH and I went through...I was ready, but he wasn't...and now we're at a point where we're both sooooo ready.
I wish you all the very best and I hope that I come back here later....at least after I've conceived (unless you change your mind next month...lol) and watch your journey. :) I'm so glad we met here and I hope you keep in touch!! XX

With my good friend being pregnant again and me wanting to experience the pregnancy with her and wanting a girl and everyone asking us when are we going to give my son another sibling and...the list goes on...I just wonder if I am doing it because I do want another baby or because of the pressure.

All I know is that I almost cried when I saw the spotting this morning and regardless of the reasons I do want to have another baby. So we will continue to try until it happens and I will continue to sway (although lazily) and I will be completely happy and blessed regardless of what gender I receive...But I do want a girl, lol.

cravingsalt, just wanted to say that I sitll hope you TTC at some point and get your lovely pink bundle! I feel like if you are meant to have a 3rd, your heart won't be denied, and you will go back for another baby. I too haggled my DH to try for a 2nd fast after the 1st but it took 3 and half years because we really were in a spot with our jobs. DS2 happened anyway (we weren't trying, he wanted me to finish grad school first) and my first thought was "this is happening at rotten timing, it must be my girl." Well he's all boy, but that spurred me to find this group of ladies, and I am so grateful I found these awesome ladies to share some time and stories with :)
