Finally after 3 or so years...I finally got the nicest compliment about having 2 boys. Other than people saying how cute or beautiful they are.. I have never heard this...
My boys and I were going to the pool and the lady at the front entrance said "wow aren't you so lucky to have 2 boys, that is so wonderful". She was genuine and sweet and never said a word about "oh do you want a girl..etc. which is all I am used to.
It made me feel good! Just wanted to share !

I was showing my nanna video of my two playing together the other day! She was smiling and then just said quietly "isn't it so wonderful to have two little boys" like she was saying it to herself and not me! She had 5 girls and 2 boys but there was a 10 year age gap between the boys! Maybe it was something she would have liked, she also lost a little boy just before her second one! I am so grateful for mine :)

I make a point of telling all boy moms how lucky they are, because I want them to know that they have something special. :) I always wanted to have 4 boys of my own!

I too got a lovely comment, DH and I were walking into Sainsbury's with the boys all 5 of us holding hands and a lady walking by said 'what a lovely family, how wonderful 3 boys'. It was lovely to hear a nice comment for a change. x

I love that! I know someone who has 4 boys (and is currently pregnant "by accident" with a girl!) who says, "It's something special to have four little boys". I agree. Not that having x amount of little girls is any less special by any means, but, I have to admit, if I were going to have several of one gender... it'd be boys. ;) And it just so happens that I do! lol
As much as I definitely want at least one more little girl, I hope that my very last child is a little boy. *sigh* They're just so, so sweet.

I have come to the place where I am extremely happy that I did not have a pigeon pair, that my oldest son will always have his younger brother, because the two of them together (when they are playing nicely!) breaks my heart! (in a good way!)

PS when we're past the harried small kids stage lets try and go around saying 2 girls how perfect, 3 boys thats amazing whenever we get the chance! each family is perfect in its own way - once i can see past nappies and potties I shall aim to spread the good feelings we get when someone says what we've been longing to hear!

So nice to hear lovely comments, I love my two little men to pieces, there is only 18 months between them yet they are such different little characters. No matter how much I am dreaming of pink I wouldn't swap my boys for anything, and in fact my perfect combination (in my head!) has always been two boys and then a girl.
The one thing I am dreading when we get pregnant this time round is people saying 'oh you hoping for a girl then', I know tat is silly because in reality yes I am hoping for a girl but if we are lucky enough to have another boy I don't want people to think we would be disappointed. Does that make sense?

This makes total sense because I feel EXACTLY the same way.
