Hi everyone
I'm new here and just wanted to ask your opinion on when is best and how often you should dtd for a boy sway?
I've been reading up and read some great posts but there appears to be a lot of contradictory information.
My plan - as it stands! - will be dtd every other day....I am not sure if this is the best way forward?
If you've had success, what worked for you? If you're actively trying for a boy sway, what's your plan?
Thank you :) x

For my sway I had planned on doing O-4,O-2, and O but I ovulated later than I thought I would so I ended up doing O-5, O-1, and O. Plus I was having DH release every 2 days during AF. It obviously worked because I am having a boy :)
When I had DD1 she was a 2 or 3 day cut off but my diet was so drastically different with her then it was when I conceived this baby, DD2 was a suprise so I think she may have happened right on O but my diet was the same as with DD1. So when I started to sway for a boy I knew I wanted to do things completely different so I did the HE diet hard core, I hit the gym and lifted weights 2-3 times a week (I was doing this part for 6 months prior) so I think all those changes helped me conceive a boy. I think DTD every other day is a good plan, I would also make sure to DTD the day you get a +OPK if you are using them and keep DTD until your OPK goes negative. Hope this helps :)

Thanks both, that's great!
I wish the boy diet wasn't so high in calories - I am still a stone heavier that I was pre-baby (I had a little girl in January) :( and am not going to get chance to lose it now, if I do conceive that is!

This is me...except I O'd early. I was having weird cycles, it ended up being O-7, O-5, O-1 and O. There's some good info in the boy sway forum.

Can you cut out the carbs and keep it very high protein on a boy diet? My diet is extremely carb/dairy heavy...I've always had a low BMI - until I had my dd, now I'm probably upper end of the normal range :(
I eat very late in the evening so maybe I'll try and cram everything into the day! x

I wouldn't cut out the carbs, you have to eat some carbs with your protein. I just did healthier carbs, such as instead of having baked potato all the time with dinner I did sweet potato, or brown rice. If I had pasta for dinner I made sure to put turkey burger or chicken in the sauce and I used whole wheat pasta I think it was by barilla because it had protein in it. I did organic ezikiel bread instead of regular wheat or white and I also did wheat wraps for lunch with tuna and avocado. You just had to find the healthier carbs and with my snacks I mostly did raw veggies and fruits/dried fruits and nuts and then at night sometimes I would have the special K protein plus cereal with a banana in it or I would do dark chocolate with almonds.

The info on this site should hold together and not contradict itself, although we may not mesh with the advice given on other sites.
I think DTD every other day is a great strategy for blue! :agree:
I got 3 of 4 boys having intercourse every other or every two days and my first boy was when we were 21 years old and superhuman - i suspect my husband was taking care of business on his own LOL. 3 were cutoff timing and the other I'm not sure of.

No, you need to eat both carbs and protein at every meal and snack. It's fine to eat late in the evening as long as you're also eating regularly thruout the day. just don't go hours and hours with nothing in your stomach.

You don't need to gain a ton of weight, just 5 lbs or so can help. Gaining too much isn't a good thing either and can affect your fertility negatively, possibly even sway pink if you gain too much.

Thank you all....this site is brilliant and certainly consistent, it's just other sites/forums where you see contradictory messages - I'll stick the advice on here as its so comprehensive :)
Did you guys stop dtd after ovulation?
Thanks again x

Yes, my sex drive drops like a stone after I ovulate! I've NEVER DTD right after ovulation I don't think - it's usually a few days afterwards.
