BOY moms! Quick question--

Just wondering if anyone got a boy with DTD 24 hrs before O? Or very late the night before O (like midnight)? But not any closer to O than that?

We dtd CD12, 13, 14 and 15...assuming I ovulated on CD14 since I have a 28 day cycle. It worked.

Beadinmom, so you probably DTD on O day, then? Was that with all your boys? I was hoping for some stories of people that may have DTD O-1 and still got a boy....

Yep, every one of them.

And we weren't doing it all that often back then, but when we were "trying" we definitely did it on those days.

jjc, yeah, that's what I am worried about--I didn't DTD enough! I really should have had more attempts, and then I think I O'ed early. :( I am so mad at myself! SO I am just wondering if anyone got a boy with the kind of timing I had.

I DTD O-5, O-1 and I did do it on O but when I took the OPK it was negative so I probably fell pregnant from O-1, so only two attempts

I wasn't tracking O with either of my boys but can tell you they were both one hit wonders as far as frequency. DH had been out of town before DTD with DS1 and then I went out of town right after- so there was only that one attempt. With DS2, we were staying with my parents for a week and DS1 was in and out of our bed, so we only DTD once and voila, PG again. So you can definitely conceive boys with only one attempt!!

My son was one attempt post miscarriage before my period even started again... and we weren't frequent DTD at the time... just enjoying a vacation and felt in the mood one night! ;)

Just to clarify...
For my first two, we weren't dtd frequently, but for my last, we were swaying and did FR for 7 or 8 days before.

I BD before O with 3 of my 4 boys and not sure on the last one.

Oh and Wyatt was def. one shot only and he was DEF. before O. (Somewhere, Wyatt just shuddered in horror without knowing why)

With DS1 - it was a drunken superbowl party at our house - I had no idea about ovulation or getting pg and it just so happened to be unprotected day before O. DH and I were prob. DTD every 2-3 days - doggie :bigsmile: (we had just gotten a new bed that was just the right height)

With DS2 - I had been TTC for a while and had 2 m/c so I just wanted to get pg and gave up on FR - we DTD a few days in a row and then missed 2 days and then DTD day before O (doggie again - we knew it would work LOL!)

Needless to say....doggie is banned for a while!

We have three boys - ds1 and ds2 were dtd every other or every 3 days throughout month so hit either o or around o. DS3 was a cut off attempt dtd one day before i got an opk+ i don't think timing matters too much x

My DS3 was conceived with one BD at O-4. I was trying for a Shettles girl cutoff.

I conceived a boy sort of around that 24-36 hours before ovulation. I also conceived a boy at o+12 by the way (and a girl). Needless to say that timing for me appears to be 50/50 ;) OR I make boys at any time, ha ha x

We DTD every day from AF all the way through O. But my diet were very meat and salt friendly back then with lots of take away food. HTH.

I dtd on o day for all 3 of my boys. I had heaps of ewcm and always eat a lot of meat and Veges mainly potatoes!

With both my boys we made one attempt only on day of first positive OPK. Which for me is approx 24-36hrs before O.

Yes, davey was a 2 day cut off. I was trying for 1 day but ov came later. Ì'm pretty sure my other boys may have been cut off aswell as Islways thought day 14 was the fertile time even with a 31 day cycle. I think its the conditions inside when the signal is sent from the egg rather thsn the actual timing:)

We have never dtd lots ad have 3 boys all concieved before O. Our first im not sure exactly when he was concieved as he wasnt planned - our second was conceived the day before i got a +opk and the 3rd i think was on o day.
