Hi there,

I have ordered my personalised plan, but have a hard time to get motivated to start the diet:( Who is planning on swaying in the fall? Thought we could "get together" and motivate each other!

Hi NeedPink, I just started the diet on Saturday. It's really hard to get motivated as I want out first attempt to be sept but DH is gunning for October. I keep telling myself it's only 2 cycles for practice then the third is for real but it still seems far away. I've started taking vitex and folic acid. Waiting to see if the vitex royally screws up my cycle. Anyway, am starving already! Lol!

Glad to hear from you all! My in-laws have visited us for a month, leaving tonight and I intend to start full-on tomorrow. I keep inventing excuses and putting it off, beacuse as I know once I start, I have to keep going. It's too bad it's summer - there is so much fresh fruit available, plus BBQ'ing all the time etc.

Anyone else want to join us?

However I have lost a good bunch of weight already from a high of 200 when my son was born in 2011 down to 130 now and everyones already telling me to stop losing that I'm getting too thin. Hoping to drop another 10 before ttc.

I started on the diet and was doing fine then completely messed it up and am starting to get myself back on track now. It's hard! I find it great reading what others are eating on here. Well done on your weight loss mis, that's fab :)

I have a night out on Saturday-cocktail making and dinner but apart from that my plan is to get strict with diet and be strict until we conceive. I need to drop weight and am hoping to lose as much as possible before October. I started a running course and I'm so unfit I feel like I'm going to die half the time when I'm doing it, lol.

Hi Mis,

That is absolutely amazing weightloss! Sounds like you are on the right path diet wise;).

Elle, from the info I have gathered on the site, I'd say you are just fine:).

Lets keep this thread going and keep in touch!

How's everyone doing?

I've had a strange week. Both boys ill with norovirus which they kindly passed to me. So been completely off food for a few days! Otherwise been struggling diet wise. I'm about 180lbs which is way overweight so finding the drastic changes really hard. Also off on holiday on Wednesday so considering just going veggie and sticking with slimming world till start of the next cycle before really applying the le principles. I've already lost 10lbs with slimming world but so much still to go.

As for the vitex, I started it on Monday and have only been taking half the dose. I missed 2 days too because I felt so sick. So I normally don't get any fertile cm till cd12 at very earliest and O between 18-21. Today is cd7 and I had loads of yellowy ewcm!!! Sorry TMI! Surely the vitex can't work that fast! I wonder if I'm just really sensitive to it! Anyway, it will be good to get a few practise cycles in if it's going to mess up my cycles so much!

Hope everyone is well. My boys are still quite poorly with this stupid bug so we're stuck in but at least they're enjoying the Olympics!

Lx

Lochsong, hope you are feeling better and hope your boys are better soon xxx

Well done needpink, that's a great weight loss :)

Maybe we should start sharing what we're eating and any good recipes to keep each other motivated.
I'm really trying to get into it now but am feeling a bit down at the moment :( Just have to get over it and get on with it!!

I know that after I have the baby, I plan on doing a modified LE diet to help me loose the baby weight!!

Just to make everyone feel better, I did concieve my DD in Dec, on Christmas Day infact, and being that I was O'ing the same day a huge dinner was going on was very tough, but I was very careful about not overdoing it, and the worst thing I prob. did was have too much dessert...I was really careful about the meat (it was very salty ham) and I just picked at the rest of my plate and fed most of it to DS1 when no one was paying attention, lol.

Also, I understand how you feel, Loch, I was 205+ lbs when I started the diet, and it was very, very daunting. I felt like there was no way I'd be able to lose enough weight to make it worth it, I end up losing only about 5+ lbs, but I believe the sheer act of losing weight can really help sway girl for sure. So anyway, didn't mean to break into this thread, just wanted to offer some reassurances and to help encourage the diet! Keep at it--it is sooo worth it!

Thanks so much Auroara :hugs: Congrats on your baby girl...soooo delighted for you that your sway worked :) Am feeling more positive today and getting myself motivated to stick to the diet. I'm trying to menu plan right now. I also meant to add that I'm a similiar weight to you Loch and find it really hard to drop weight. I was meant to start my vitex and saw palmetto 2 days ago but I ordered them online and they didn't arrive in time, so disappointed :( I am hoping I will get pregnant in the next few months and hear It's a girl at my ultrasound and it will all be so worth it. Before I came to GD I spent a lot of money on things for swaying but I have gotten the most info and the best support from this site. I love it here :)

Well, hello there!

Doing OK with the LE, except I struggle to max out my calorie allowance for the day, eating everything in 2/3 meals and not snacking... If I try to up my calorie intake, it seems I will either add in something too healthy (like the almost pound of babycarrots I ate tonight when I was still hungry;), or I will add in something that's too fatty. Guess I have to head over to the LE diet section to see what others are doing...

Seems like vitex have already messed up my cycle a bit too: I only started it this month and just took it for the first 2weeks. AF supposed to show up today, no sign of it at all though. Hmmmm...

Hope you all are still hanging in there?

Id love to ttc in october but since 2 of my 3 boys were conceived in oct and one in dec im a bot worried about the oct-dec thing and i know that girls are also conceived these months i cant help but think they are boy months for me and that i might be better waiting until next year. I might try Nov since that is inbetween the 3 boys :-) Good luck

Still hanging in there..doing ok with diet. I know what you mean about getting enough calories. I had a couple of days when I was low on calories but wasn't actually hungry. Not snacking is hard, I would have snacked a lot before rather than having big meals. I think it's a matter of getting used to the diet, getting the balance right and finding meals that work really well.
I conceived 3 of my boys in June and one in Jan/early Feb. I was worried about the oct-dec thing too but hope the other things are enough to sway as I can't wait for a "girl" month. Am getting soooo impatient as it is!!
