20 week ultrasound pics and bad news

My sweet baby at 20.2 weeks. I was told girl again.

When I went in for my 20 week scan yesterday I found out that I have placenta accreta. I was sent for an MRI to confirm. I have had 5 previous c-sections and the placenta has grown though my c-section scar. So now my Doctor wants me to see a specialist at a different hospital and deliver me there. I will also have to have a hysterectomy. Im really scared. As of right now the placenta hasn't attached to any of my organs but she's wanting to keep a close eye on it. On a better note the baby is now 13 ounces and doing wonderful!

No unfortunately no they can't and what has been done has been done. It can only get worse.

That is scary! I really hope that it turns out better than you expect. Do you have to have a hysterectomy no matter what, or is there a chance you can get by with just a C section?

Very happy the baby is okay, but so sorry to hear about the complications! :(

I'm surprised your doctor was okay with you having so many c-sections to begin with. My doctor told me 4 was the limit.

Just go ahead with the hysterectomy!!! My mother died on the table from the placenta growing into the abdominal wall. They brought her back....but she died a couple times before they could get the bleeding to stop with an emergency hysterectomy and numerous cold blood transfusion! You're so lucky they dr.s caught it! They didn't know with my mom until it's too late!

I have no idea. I was told that I would need one but when I go talk to her again im going ask about not having one. Im really worried about all the symptoms after. I will let everyone know what comes. Thank you for your well wishes and prayers.
