Okay, so, here's the deal. At 16 weeks, I wound up in the ER with extreme pain that turned out to be kidney stones. Because they had to do an emergency scan that night, my insurance won't cover the 20 week anatomy scan now, which is ridiculous, in my opinion, but that's beside the point. ;) I was able to get the ultrasound report from the ER, as well as the images taken, to make sure everything looked good health-wise at the least, and everything is as it should be, thankfully.
This just leaves me with the question, of course, of boy or girl. We already have three girls, I'm dying to find out so we can plan for a boy if we need to (since the majority of things we have are not remotely gender neutral ;) ) but it's going to be another month or two until we can budget responsibly to pay out of pocket for another scan. The open leg shots from the ER scan are not all that fabulous, even after three kids I'm having a difficult time spotting the tell-tale lines that would confirm 'girl!' from this angle. Any guesses, experts?
