Hi ladies! Deaks suggested for some much needed luck I start the august thread. As some of you know you are all special to me bc you were my first connection to gender swaying (iykwim).
Well anyway I've been at this since letting go of a baby girl (chromosome issues) since last July 2011. I've been ttc since and got really sick (crohns disease) on and off all winter. I finally was given the ok to ttc again after many bfn, chemical etc. So here's to august! And the biggest wannabe ever I'm not even from the UK lol!!!

Congrats to Wishing and HBP!!! Lovely news! I got my bfp in August last year, so here's to a HH 9mths and little Pink beans. x
Deaks, the girls are more settled. Less colicky and the gaviscon sachets help too, although I had to cut the dose as it constipates then really bad! Thanks for asking. x
Lavender, think ur wedding is about now??? Enjoy your day! x
Indigo, think of you each day, wondering if I will log on to hear some lovely news from you. x
Should get the casting of the twins feet back soon. I ended up getting DD1's right and DD2's left foot in individual frames with gold plaques with name and age. Got 1 free, so paid £50 for the other, Dh thinks I'm mad, but I'm so excited! x
LMW....the days are counting now for ur wee bubba!! x

Inglewood - we did our own cast - not a good idea!
Well I can now join you on the diet. Lost 6lbs this week due to food poisoning at the olympics. I'm back up there on Saturday. Love it!!!!

Good luck for August H&G :)
Inglewood ifs good to hear the girls as a little more settled! Must be a bit easier to cope with them and the boys (and dh of course lol)
Awww I'd love to get a cast of Lily's foot but we just don't have the money for it :( you'll have to stick a picture up so we can see :)
Maybe oh dear that's not good about food poisoning :S but bonus you lost weight lol.
Enjoy your next round of Olympics!
HBP congratulations on your pregnancy :) send pink baby dust your way!
Deaks glad to see you managed to get back on! It took me about a week and I ended up asking administration to reset it because I wasn't getting reminder emails lol. Hope you get everything you need to nest!
How's a the school holidays going for everyone? So far we are doing ok, ds1 moans every now and then about being bored, of course he expects to be doing something almost constantly :(

Maybe, hope ur better, food poisoning is awful, I had it when I was 16wks pg....yuk!
Kell, yes, everything alot easier when girls are. Less stress and a happier home! Our kids go back a week on Mon (20th) been a quick summer hol and a very boring one! The weather has been awful and this is the first week we have had sunshine. Bet the week they go back it's lovely, it always happens. We should have hols the same time as England. Maybe then the kids would see the sunshine. I won a voucher to have the castings done as Dh said it was too much £ to pay out, so I bought a kit then won the comp. So will try doing it again when they are 1yr now I have seen the experts at work. It was £50 for a hand/foot in a lovely 3d frame with a gold name plaque.

Yay H&D! this sooooooooooo has to be your month, i have everything crossed for you. The only piece of advice i can add to all the fab advice atomic and others have given you is to keep bding after you think your o+12 is over or after ov if that is when you are bding until as i had no idea i ov'd so late despite charting for months and months and months! worth a shot :)
Maybe, sorry you got food poisoning at the olympics :( But glad you had a good time. Perhaps a picnic next time?!
Inglewood, lovely to hear the girls are more settled. You have got on top of it pretty quick i reckon. The first time i experienced reflux it took the docs 3 months to prescribe anything! With ds2 they realised i wasn't going to take no for an answer!
Indigo, lavender, LMW, any news/updates for us?!
Heading to the farm today as its such lovely weather but not till lunchtime so the boys are spending the morning in the garden in their pj's. I love the relaxed mornings in the summer :) X

Hello all,
Sorry not been on here much. Just losing track of time!!
Wow congratulations homebirthing and wishing!!! Lovely to hear some BFPs - very exciting!
Oooh and there are a few more babies nearly here...
Kell - hope all is going well with Lily.
Been loving watching the Olympics and seeing how people back home are so into it! :)
AFM - been a crazy world of a really horribly behaved 3.5 year old, a 2 year old that copies him and a lovely well behaved baby. I'm not sure I'm going to survive the older 2. They are so awful to me at times. I'm sick of being hit and being shouted at. DS2 just says "I can't" to everything I ask him. Sigh... please tell me this is a phase. They made me cry the other day - I think that worried them :) I'm sure they are still trying to adapt to Duke's arrival... but still... its a challenging time in our house.
My friend from Sydney came to stay at the weekend. Been ages since we caught up - shes still single but longing to find a good fella. It was sooo nice - she is a friend from the UK and I just haven't made any close friends like that here. We chatted about things that had really got us down recently etc. I told her about finding out that we were expecting boy #3 and crying and feeling down for ages afterwards. It was really nice to be able to tell someone IRL knowing that I wouldn't be judged in any way. Now, I am very happy with my beautiful family and I wouldn't change Duke for all the world - hes a beautiful, gorgeous little man... no.. he's MY beautiful gorgeous little man.
Having lots of dental fun at the mo - wisdom tooth pulled out last week (that was actually fine). Now I'm suffering from constant tooth ache from a different temporary filling - think its going to turn into a root canal. I never realised how horrible toothache was :( boo hoo...
DH just made malteser and crunchie cookies - what is he trying to do to me?!? :) Will never lose weight. Oh one of DS1s playgroup friends said to me "Oh you have a big tummy" :( Damn kids and their honesty!!

Maybe- I am so jealous you are able to go to the olympics!! I am having so much fun watching on tv. What events have you been to? And food poisoning from there, wow. You should get comp'd on something. Like free tickets to another event!
Inglewood- hi! I would love to see a pic of the cast when you get it back. Sounds amazing!
Deaks- good idea about continuing to dtd. 2 of my attempts I would have done one more attempt and dh got stuck with overtime at work. I'm going to keep going this time. I'll drive to his work if I have to!!

H&G, good advice from deaks! FX for u as it is very much deserved. You have cheered and supported all of us, now it's out time to be there for you! :)
Wishing and HBP, hope ur keeping well?
Deaks, I did get on top of it eventually, the girls had 4 diff milks, various colic drops, saw a chiropractor, gaviscon then new bottles before it all worked! But know what u mean, from 7wks-14wks changing things and we saw an improvement. They are rubbish sleepers, cat nap (at diff times....arghhh) and waken from 1am onwards to have a moan and a grump every hour and mostly waken at 3am for a feed, but an odd day (like today) slept till 8am! Fx this wee bubs sleeps well and you never need to think about colic or reflux once!
Petal, I live on the coast too, just 3 miles from the beach either way of the village. But it gets so busy with city folks and holidaymakers that we end up avoiding it till later in the day. Going to get the paddling pool out today, the boys sit the slide in it and it keeps them busy longer. Dh gonna clean up the decking and I'll clean the BBQ! might as well make the most of it. We promised the boys a trip to another playpark tonight. Trying to go to a diff one each night while the sun is here, as it could be gone tom! and the kids are back to school a week on monday. Dreading that too!!! luckily the school is about a min walk away and I can almost see the school gates, so after xmas gonna let boys walk themselves, ds1 could as he's almost 10, but ds2 always had to go too and was too small. Ds2 will be 6 in october and all the other kids and parents pass my house to go to school, so I will see if ds2 can earn my trust till xmas hols to go with ds1.
Maybe, wow! how lucky were u to get all those tickets. I wish I could of seen the gymnastics. Are u all better?
Pinga, hope the boys settle soon. Is it school holiday time for you too? Glad ds3 is being a wee star, makes all the difference. My boys are 5 and 9, so when the twins came they could amuse themselves better and ds1 is a fab help. Sure they will calm down soon, could it be all the excitement of a new baby and all the fuss with visitors/family members when they are born sometimes doesn't help. My MIL esp spoiled the boys silly when the twins came, so much I was dreading her going, but luckily they are good kids and haven't been jealous of the girls or any different really, other than completely bored from the crap school holiday weather. Did u find they got alot from visitors, the boys ended up with £60 each!! and endless sweets from people coming to see the girls, alot of attention all round which sometimes doesn't help!
Can sympathise with dental work at the mo...I've to get root treatment and a crown for a tooth I broke!! no fun! Lovely to have your friend to talk to. I have never told anyone other than dh and my mum about the longings I had for a girl. Many of my friends are single and/or gay, or have PP. Told my Bf once some of the truth, but she's gay and doesn't want kids, so not sure she would understand really.
Yummy biscuits to enjoy!! sounds good to me!! enjoy! xx

My tickets were 45 for hockey, 55 for volleyball and 25 for tykwondo. I got no tickets via the ballot and only hockey via the first seconds of re-sale. However my sister has been checking every hour for weeks on end and got abot ten sessions - hence how I got to see volley ball!
Indigo it's too hot to be pg so fx he decides to come soon.

AF should be here any day so my attempt month can get underway. Maybe Pms? I totally lost it on my diet yesterday. I ate all allowed foods but WAY WAY too much :( was so mad at myself after. Taking the boys on an overnight trip to an amusement park look forward to a get away. It been a long time we've done a get away. Hello Ladies,
We've been trying to conceive #3, hoping for a girl after 2 gorgeous sons. We've been trying hard for a year with cut-off and a very strict diet. I came off the diet after 7 months in March as I didn't conceive a day & a half before Ov and I was just losing too much weight. With both sons we conceived perfectly - inadvertently!- for boy sways, both just a few hours or less before Ov, plus only DTD about once or twice before Ov. I've always assumed that my egg was released just as I get a big gush of EWCM - sorry, TMI! That, for me, happens every month and I usually only get EWCM on the day of Ov - if I get any that day before it's watery and not as thick as Ov day. Sorry for being long-winded, my dilemma now is trying to find peace of mind in the 2WW. *Deep breath!* I was totally caught out this month after using OPK's religiously three times every day from day 12 to day 16, the day before Ov. Not once did I have a positive, testing at 11.30am, 3.30pm & 7.30pm on digital OPKs. It's totally thrown me as I expected to ovulate on day 18. I didn't even realise until the morning of day 18 when my cp had lowered and I got creamy cm. We DTD every day from day 6 to day 16 excluding days 10 + 12 and no O for me. It's been such a strange month for me as I didn't have the big gush of EWCM at all on or around Ov day, which lead me to believe that I was still waiting to Ov. Through charting (not BBT) for 2 years, I believe this has only happened once before. I think I ovulated as I had a little EWCM inside on the day we DTD but nothing outside, only a little watery cm and then more watery cm on Ov day. I felt like I had conceived but kept telling myself it was impossible as I genuinely believed I was still waiting to Ov. I feel so confused, as I desperately want another baby and would love a little boy as much as his treasured brothers, but a girl would just be all my dreams come true. Of course, I may not have even conceived, I have to wait around 11 days to find out. However, I fear that DTD the day before Ov (12 hours+ before) is just too close despite the strange lack of EWCM. Can anyone offer any words of advice or have any similar experiences? Sorry for making my first message so long! thanks for reading. :holysheep:

August 14th, 2012, 04:26 AM
Dreamofpink - I don't think that timng matters at all! I conceived my girl on O day and most of the ladies with successful pink sways on this site were DTD at +OPK, which often turns out to be the day before O. The fact that you had less CM is a good sign as it indicates lowering fertility (which sways pink) but you need some CM in order to conceive! Your BD pattern is good too as frequent release sways pink. I would check out the LE diet if I were you (I'm guessing you were doing a different swaying diet?) as I do think diet is important and perhaps you could pick it up next month if you don't get your BFP. Best of luck!

August 14th, 2012, 04:55 AM
Hi DreamofPink,
My story is very similar to yours, after ttc for 6 months and getting closer and closer to O I found this site and switched to the LE diet and didn't stress about timing.
I lost 8lbs on the LE diet during the first few weeks of it, my DH did fr every day from when my af finished through to the day I got a +opk. Then we bd within an hour of two of getting a +opk, and about 12 hours later. I got my bfp at 11dpo! Like you if I have another boy then that will be wonderful, but a girl would be a dream come true. I think it gets to the stage where you just need to get pregnant so you even have a chance of a girl. There is so much useful information on here and lots of lovely ladies with plenty of support and advice.
I hope you get your BFP soon! :) x

Dreamingofpink welcome and good luck with your sway, I'm with Zanacal after reading do much here I'd say diet and ph ate important, timing not so much!
Mummy pink congratulations on your bfp! Hope you hear pink :)
Mummies I need your advise on toilet training, I thought we had it sorted but Charlie seems to have regressed over the last mOnth and I'm at my wits end :(
He keeps going to the toilet in his pants, both number 1s and 2s, some days he's fine and others he just doesn't bother with it even when I ask he will say he doesn't need to go.
I know he understands when I tell him it's naughty but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Help :(

Thank you all so much for your kind and understanding words. I'm not sure if I was on the LE diet, what does LE stand for? I ate a very low sodium & potassium diet with lots of calcium & magnesium. Plus calcium & magnesium supplements. I really was so strict I was cooking separate meals for me, drinking 1 & half pints of milk a day & 2 yoghurts daily too! No yeast, very low sugar and small portions of all the allowed food. I think now it was probably too extreme, I never tested my PH though. I have kept the best bits of the diet, i.e plenty of yoghurt and milk, and try to keep salt down and still haven't had a banana! I only ever drink water & milk anyway so I'd like to think that my diet already sways pink though not as extreme as before. Is that the same as the LE diet? After a long emotional year I just want a baby now! It's just so lovely to find a community of like-minded ladies, I'm looking forward to following all of your stories!

The 4th link in that thread is to a post which explains the difference between a traditional (or IG style) sway and the GD sway.

Zanacal-Thank you so much for that link! The information in those threads is mind-blowing! I had no idea how much new research had been done and brought together beautifully by Atomic Sagebrush (thank you too!) I was totally on a traditional IG girl diet with a strict 3 day cut-off and wondered why on earth it's taken me over a year of trying and still not conceived (well, as far as I know at the mo!) I always felt diet had something to do with it, but the types of food ate didn't seem to tie in with all of the people on a typical western diet who manage to have girls no problem. The low blood sugar 'low-everything' way makes a lot of sense as I guess our bodies are sensitive to small changes. I'm really glad that I didn't conceive whilst on the super-strict diet and stressing so much about timing as my T levels must've been through the roof - I'm only guessing. I'm going to go mostly veggie now, feeling fed up with meat even before finding this website. However, skipping brekkie will be hard!! Are there any links to the foods that we can eat and amounts on this website? Not too worried about menus/recipes though. I've fast become addicted to this website and guess that losing weight and eating less meat and a lot more veggies will help me regardless! Thank you so much.

Hi girls, welcome newbies :-)))
I know what you mean about being busy witht the kids! lol, its finding things to do that dont cost the earth!!
Sunset, good luck for your sons hearing test, ds1 had his and he has been fitted for a hearing aid in one ear!! Hes borderline as to wether he needs one so it may make it worse as they tend to pick up lots of extra noise, so we will see!
Ds3 fell off the bed this morning, i feel awful :-( i almost caught him but didnt quite make it, so he's got a nice red bump on his forehead poor liitle boy.
Deaks, take things easy hun!! rest when you can x
Babymad, hows life with 4 kids? does the 4th just kind of fit in? my ds3 is so easy at the moment, such a good boy! he levels my sanity with the older two bickering all day!!!
Kell, ah poor little boy, i cant really think what to suggest to help, been so long since ive done the whole potty training bit lol, what about a reward chart and he gets to pick a treat at the end of the week?
Hope you are all enjoying the hols, big hugs to you all x

So he finally arrived! Yesterday afternoon. Had mild contractions most of the morning and then by 2ish told DH he better not go into work. Another hour called hosp and made our way there, he was born less than an hour after we arrived. I was only 4cms dilated when they first checked me so going to 10 so quickly felt like being hit by a bus! I was begging for an epidural but there wasn't time. I'm glad I *thought* I was going to have one though as it got me through most of the hour. He is lovely of course, just realising how demanding the feeding is though, he just won't stop!
Will try to post a pic soon, loads of love to you all :HH:

Wow indigo, what a great fast birth! Hope mine goes like that even though im sure that hour of intense pain felt like about 5!! Hope the feeding sorts itself out.
Been loving the weather today. It was just too hot over the weekend for pregnancy (and im sure too much for lots of the little bubs in our group too). Today has been breezy and sunny... perfect. Beginning to wander if im over my gd but think thats probably just the idea of being pregnant again putting me off. Im sure once bubs is out and i've forgotten how hard pregnancy/child birth is, that it will rear its ugly head again!

Indigo - many congratulations on the birth of your little boy!
This 2WW has dragged on but I think I'm probably out again and I feel out of energy for swaying anymore. I've been actively swaying since June 2011 and am desperate for a baby. My hubby's determined that this is our last - I'd like 4 regardless, we'll see! Since 9dpo (I'm 11dpo and refusing to test until late) I've been full of cold had headaches and felt hot a lot but my cp's low and although I had the 'oh sh*t, I've conceived' thought without realising I'd ovulated that day, I just don't know, so I guess my doubt should be taken as the correct gut feeling. I just feel so worn down by it all when so many women can easily have girls, I swing between feeling 'why shouldn't I be the same?' to of course 'I'm bound to have another boy. I'll never have a girl' How has everyone else satyed positive? I'm sure I'll pick up once this cold's gone but I just don't know how to try next month, maybe lazy swaying's the answer for me as I can be the obsessive type. Thank you so much all of you for your support. x x

Hi Dreamofpink, I found it so hard to determine if I was ov'ing! Really only got the hang of it the mth I conceived and I had been charting for months! I've had treatment on my cervix, so it's always 'high' and ewcm was so variable. Plus, my ov dates varied from day 18-28!! I got my +ve opk one night , temp rise in the morning and dtd that afternoon. Thought I was out due to my temp shift, but think I conceived at O+20??? I ended up buying a CBFM and not realising I was pg!! managed to sell it on ebay!! lol

Hi ladies!
Can I join you? We are hopefully DTD tonight and twice tomorrow - I "should" be ovulating tomorrow/Thursday and we have been abstaining for 2 weeks now! Hubby is desperate for me to get those little lines on my opk, and my temp dipped this morning, so it's bang on for my temp to rise tomorrow.
Wish us luck!

Inglewood - thanks for your message, this month was different for me as I always know exactly when I ov due to lots of EWCM on that one day only then white the next. This time, I only had EWCM on my cervix and a little bit of watery on Ov day, we dtd the night before as I was still certain I hadn't had my LH surge - even testing 3 times every day I still missed it this time! Oh i just don't know, if I tried a moderate LE diet at the start of af would that be enough? Only 2 weeks or so?
Welcome Northern Shutterbug x x

Dreamofpink, i can so sympathise with you! i swayed pretty hard core for a year and it was such a stressful time. All i can offer in terms of advice is that cut-offs don't work for everyone. Never would have for me for example as i ov really late (48 hrs) after initial lh surge even though i didn't realise it for pretty much the whole year. Basically it meant that my cut off attempts were way to early. The months i got pg (i had 2 chemicals) before this pregnancy were months where i kept on bding after i thought my o+12 was over. Actually i ended up finding out that my o+12-24 were actually when i was ov (perhaps hence the little boy im carrying!). I think relaxing your sway a little and having more bd will help :)

Good luck ladies!
Northern - the LE diet will work quickly to lower pH and blood sugar levels (possibly the aspect of swaying with the best scientific evidence!) and you could lose a few pounds in 2 weeks which may also help. It may take longer to lower testosterone.
Long, unpredictable cycles are also a good sign for ttc pink which is why it can be a good idea to take Vitex and Saw P. Some ladies avoid them as they don't want to screw up their cycles but that might be how they work. I never had unpredictable cycles when I conceived my boys. I'm sure you know this but almost all the ladies doing a DG style sway do not include timing (in relation to O) because it makes no odds. Most ladies DTD at the time they're most likely to get pregnant which is the day before O (at pos OPK) because this means there will be capacitated sperm waiting when the egg arrives on the scene. Some are fortunate and get pregnant with one attempt but many need to DTD more than once as the other pink sway tactics lower fertility so much - it's a tricky balance to lower fertility and swsy pink but still get a BFP.
Sorry not got time to proof read - monkeys need attention!!

It's been forever. My first attempt was November 2011. Then I got ill and all BFNs. I basically have dropped everything except diet and I'm on clomid. Atomic and I have made a plan. Hopefully this will be the month bc I can "capitalize " on how sick I've been and the clomid should help. Ive also lost a ton of weight. She explained it like fertility being on a continuum and I needed to drop things to move along to be able to conceive not sway blue. Iykwim I also decided to take Estradial which I haven't in previous months it can sway blue but I'm not getting pregnant without it. Today I had an HSG they insert dye in your tubes looking for blockages. Everything was totally normal. I read that it helps conception especially if results come back normal. I really feel like this is my month.

Congrats Indigo! How are things going!?!
Oh a few new people trying - hopefully get some pink BFPs :)
Petal - I feel like you - DS3 is a delight and so easy... which is so nice when the other 2 monkeys are charging around and fighting and whinging! :D But DS3 is just growing too quickly! He's not so newborn anymore!!! Have a maternal child health visit tomorrow (think thats the same as your HV??) so we'll see how much he's grown.
I was out yesterday with all 3 boys - one in the pushchair, one on the buggy board and DS3 in the baby bjorn and this woman (a complete stranger) came right up to me and said 'so did you get your girl?'. I was a bit surprised and just said 'no another boy' and she then said 'oh well'. I wasn't very impressed.
Anyways its been a long day here so I'm off to enjoy a hot choc! Its been a beautiful 18 degree day - quite mild for a winters day in Melbourne :D

we managed to DTD last night again, and today I'm finally getting consistant +opk so hopefully with doing it again tonight we'll get a positive in 2 weeks!
I've not been good on the diet though (although nearly no meat for 2 weeks and no red meat for 4-5 weeks) so I am not very positive that it'll be a good or successful sway, but I'm just no good at doing diets. I have had hubby abstain though, and we've done it once after abstaining for 14 days, then the released yesterday morning, we DTD in the night, he released again this morning, and we'll give it one more go tonight. I've not had a big O during DTD (although did have a big O whilst doing an unsuccessful BD a few hours after our first go - I couldn't help it!).
I've been drinking tons of peppermint tea, having antihistamine and using rephresh, so hopefully something will help!

Pinga sounds like you've been busy with the boys! How rude of that person to comment on having boys, I just can't understand why people feel the need to comment!
Deaks hope the cooler weather is better for you, have you guys got a name for your little man yet?
Inglewood when did the girls start to show signs of colic? Poor Lily is struggling very much with wind in the evenings, when she's going through it she sounds like she's in absolute agony it's heart breaking to hear. I'm going to try and see if it's my diet making her so uncomfortable and hope that she starts to feel a little better soon.
My dp is now away on his holiday in south Africa, it's so strange not having him here :(
But my mums come to visit while he's gone so I'm happy! She hadnt met Lily until she was over three weeks old and she absolutely adores her! Constantly looking for an excuse to have a cuddle lol.
I have started to express a little milk and will be trying lily with the bottles, she definatly not a fan at the moment but if I try every day she will get use to the feel and hopefully will take some milk so I can get some time to be me and not a prize cow lol.
I'm getting quite upset with my body shape now as well, I don't fit into any of my clothes at all, I have a christening this weekend and I just don't know how to dress for my new and certainly not improved figure! I got quite sad looking in the Mirror when trying things on. I've got about 3stone I need to think about shifting, it seems quite daunting when I say that :S
I can't wait till I can get back to running!

My first reaction to this is what is wrong with people. Seriously. But after thinking about it I really think it shows how common it is to want the opposite gender baby of the ones you already have. Sitting yesterday in the ob's office there was a pregnant women with 2 girls. Everyone asked her if she got her boy. Really shows how universal the desire is. Anytime someone may have a hint I want to go for #3 the first response is you want the girl. I do obviously but it tells me they would too .

Pinga, some people really dont understand how deep gender desire can be and sometimes dont mean to offend us but i now, wouldnt ever make a remark about gender to a pregnant woman.
Kell, aww poor little Lily bless her, its so hard when you cant help them! Losing weight is so daunting isnt it! but once you start losing a bit it spurs you on to keep going. Good luck, you can do it!!! x x

Hope that is so true! I think its easy for us to feel like we are in the minority with wanting a specific gender but actually i think its just that we have done something about it whereas most people perhaps wouldn't even think to question if there's something they could do.
Kell, so sorry that lily is struggling, hope things improve soon.
Hi everyone else, how are you all? Loving this kind of weather, sunny and breezy but looks like the weekend could go downhill...shame :(
Been doing some serious nesting and finally finishing house DIY off and wading through stuff we have accumulated but don't want anymore that is squirrelled away in all my cupboards. :)

Deaks66 & Zanacal - thank you both for your comments regarding the diet and trying to conceive. As daft as it sounds for the first time in a year I was really pleased to have af visit today. I've been on the diet now for 5 days and love it compared to the awful, dull traditional IG diet that I started last June and managed it very strictly until March. Knowing what I know now after reading as much as I can on this fab website I'm so glad I didn't conceive any sooner! I'm taking Saw P. and sticking to 1500cal and the other limits for the LE diet. I'm getting used to no brekkie slowly, though I'll be glad when I can start having it again! Do you think if I conceived this month, 2 weeks being on the LE diet and taking Saw P. plus FR would make for a good sway? I'm not overly keen on the jellies and douches and not sure whether vitex is avaliable in the UK and if it would be good for my cycles as I ov anywhere between days 14-20. I just want to say how amazing it is to have a community of like-minded ladies who understand so much, as even my closest friends get lost with the whole swaying thing! I guess we'll be on to TTC Sept soon ;-) Thank you all!

Dreamofpink - I think 2 weeks would be better than nothing but testosterone tends to take longer to lower than some of the other things (pH/blood sugar levels) so longer is more ideal! If your cycles are already squiffy then that's probably a good thing for ttc pink. I got Vitex in the UK but I know there was going to be some law change which meant they wouldn't be available any more. I would send you my left overs but I gave them to my sister!

August 26th, 2012, 05:18 PM
Zanacal - Thank you. Do you know if saw P changes the length of your cycle at all? I don't really understand how it works, only that it can help remove testosterone from blood ******. Is testosterone the most important thing for ttc girl? We've been trying now for a year and can't bear missing a month! Would it be better to drop to 1200cal/day for the next 2 weeks? I desperately want a girl but have had enough of trying now. I'm worried that with FR we can't just mix BD and FR leading up to O, as I don't want to turn the whole process into something totally mechanical! Sorry to bombard you all with so many questions. This impatient streak keeps popping up occasionally, stressing me out that I haven't conceived over the last year and I really don't want a big age gap between no2 and no3 - at the moment it'll be 4 years, whereas there's only 23 months between my two at the moment. Silly how that bothers me so much! x x

Hi girls sorry to be MIA but been a busy two weeks - will catch up tomorrow. Had dave baptised today. I am just never amazed at how crap some people can be at being a family. So bloody angry at some people when it's such a important day! Fil in law pissed straight off from the church to the pub, then turned up to the party two hours late then left as soon as the red wine ran out! Also mum and sister didn't even bring a card! Bil left after a hour to go out sailing, mil made comments on how some people 'don't know when to stop having kids' gaggh!! I'm having ten more just to p eople off now! But on the plus side, it was a lovely day and it's been lovely thinking about how much I had to do to get him, and how he finally decided to join us.

Hello Maybebabythree, congrats on your son's baptism. It's so true isn't it that we can't choose our family, but we can choose our friends! hopefully in the years to come you'll be able to look back on the day and 'forget' all the annoyances. How do you find the age gap between your boys?

Dreamofpink I think the big age gaps are lovely but they wasn't planned that way. I fell the second week trying for ds1. I had pre eclampsia so it took a bit of courage before I tried for ds2, then he took nine months to conceive. Ds3 took two years to conceive! I was swaying pretty hard and fell pg when I gave up my sway. I wish I hadn't got so stressed yesterday as I feel I let dhs dad spoil it for us.
So it looks like there might be some smog babies being planned then? Good luck every one

Maybebaby - I had pre-eclampsia with my first son too. It took me a while to convince my dh to allow us to try for another and a year later we're still trying! I fell in the second month of trying with both of my boys, but cut-offs have been the biggest enemy to my sway. I'm so glad I can give that up as it stressed me out so much each month. My T levels must've been sky high! I bet you're really enjoying having your third son, so envious of those with little babies - it's a wonderful time!

Sorry to hear that dreamofpink. Pre eclampsia isn't nice. I had high blood pressure this time so I was induced early again. Unfortunately I was re admitted twice after his birth due to my blood pressure. I just don't do the last two months of being pg very well. When you fall pg ask your doctor about aspirin. This baby was a great weigh and they could control my bp with medication. Sure it was the asprin. Yes I love my little chap. Love this age - goes to quickly x

Maybebaby - aspirin is a wonder-drug! I took it with my second son and he was born just after his due date with no bp problems at all. My first son was born at 30 weeks, emergency c-section. Pre-eclampsia is such a horrid thing! I will definitely take it when I fall pregnant next. You sound really happy with your little man, he's a lucky little boy to have joined such a loving mummy.

Hellllooooo!! Been MIA for abot 2wks, damn laptop!!! Problems almost fixed, can get online, just keeps freezing on me!!
Hope ur all well? GL to those TTC! :)
Kell, girls were about 7wks when the colic started, just as you describe with Lily, worst at night. For me the best thing was the Dr Brown's bottles (know ur BF, but for when expressing?) and the colocynth granules.... for them that was what helped them. Bless her, hope it passes, it's awful when they scream and u can't help! The girls also had silent reflux which didn't help. :( I also have a fair bit of baby weight to shift, around 4 stone of it!! Lost 8 1/2lbs but had a BAD week this week...oops...
Maybe, hope u had a lovely day for ds3 despite all the family crap. Sure you all did and dh and u were proud and happy your wee bubs has arrived. How have u enjoyed the paralympics??
Better go, tired today. nite all xx

Hello ladies, hope you are all well, will try and catch up on the thread but it might take me til end of Sept!!
I'm seriously considering #4 ..... dh still isn't on board ... but not said a definate NO (yet!). Need to lose weight anyway so might just start the diet and keep wearing him down. Really need to get my head round this sway, as the IG sway is ingrained in my mind and I just need to get my head round this ones differences.
Indigo - so glad your little guy arrived safe and sound.
Congrat's to all the new mums over the past few months.
