We lost our donor conceived baby boy back in April. After consultations, research and soul-searching, DH and I decided to save up to get a transabdominal cerclage placed before we TTC again. All going well, until AF went MIA despite a lot of cramping... Didn't think much of it, I figured she'd show eventually but then I started getting very sharp pains on my left side. When pain medication didn't relieve it and got worse I called the advice nurse, who sent a message to my OB. He wasn't in that day so my Nurse Practioner called me backed. She was concerned and wanted me to get checked out. It was Friday after 5pm so that meant a trip to the ER.
I get to the ER, they took a urine sample to test for pregnancy, negative. Next step was an ultrasound and some blood work. As I waited in my room, the ER doctor came back and profusely apologized, he hadn't waited long enough and since I'm probably still early... the test was positive, I'm 4.4 weeks now. The pain turned out to be a larger than usual corpus lutem cyst on my ovary that should resolve itself but ER doc made a note for my OB to keep an eye on it. DH and I are shocked, but DH is totally over the moon now. I'm a huge mix of emotions, mostly worried since I was so sure the TAC was our best bet. Praying for a positive outcome and a healthy rainbow.
