Need advice on lowering sperm count???

Okay so my husband is not doing anything to sway and i first was going to try for abstinence but as my ovulation day gets delayed further and further it just isn't going to work. My thought is maybe use spermicide during bd sessions that I don't want to count and use spermicide a few hours before for the times I want it to count. I am doing the LE diet now for six weeks, Rephresh, supps( probably why ovulation is being delayed) and I have lost five pounds. I can't afford to lose anymore since my bmi is a 17. I believe this is where I should situate myself in terms of my weight. My husband prefers nOt to know the details about ovulation and stuff so I can't say no abstain for z few more days while I wait for ovulation. I just wanted to dtd on day of positive opk but not sure how this will work.

I am using the cbfm so it still says low so I figure I might as well get another plan going just in case it turns high and he wants to bd early and screw up abstain. Thanks for your advice!

Ktigue, can you do frequent release instead? Do you think you could convince him to do it every day for at least 7 days? You could do it with a condom for 7 consecutive days or more and then do your attempt on your positive opk. But you must not even miss one day from DH releasing. Or you can help him just release daily instead of doing intercourse.

Forgot to mention, you can ask him to take Licorice Root too, that lowers sperm count.

I think the spermicide plan is a good one, but I would just try to use it at least 4-6 hours before any attempt and be prepared if you get a BFN.

If you haven't Oed by a reasonable point of your cycle, stop waiting for pos OPK and just stop the herbs. You may not O until you stop them.

Thanks atomic I actually stopped them on cd 14 since my o is always late but now it's cd17 so I'm hoping to I soon. Yeah I'm nervous about the spermicide since I have no idea how many spermies it will kill depending on how late or how early I do it but I'll give this month a try and month onto the next. Thanks for the help. I just know that without licorice root or abstinence that I need something else to lower his sperm count.
