Congrats to you Lassie on your BFP! So exciting!!
I'm on my first real month of ttc and am 2 dpo. Why is the waiting such torture? I kinda blew my diet the day i ovulated. I was so hungry for food! I ate a few cookies and had some candy. That can't be too bad right? I normally eat all boy, hence the 3 i have. I have dramatically cut down on salt and changed my diet quite a bit but i'm not totally hardcore because i would drive myself nuts. I will probably start testing 8 dpo if my temps are high. How about everyone else?

Yes, i told DH as soon as i did the test....well actually i posted the photo on here first LOL. It was 4:20am....so he wasn't too impresses at being woken up - but was over the moon that its finally happened.
So hard to keep it quiet! I just want to shout it from the rooftops! We've agreed to wait till 8weeks before we tell family, and 12weeks before we tell friends and colleagues....
thanks again to everyone for their kind words :)

I am once again at 6dpo (cd18 of a 25-26 day cycle) and been getting cramping all day, have been really worried its o coming again (although cm is really creamy and my cervix is that far back so hopefully not), am looking forward to testing but not getting my hopes up as i have had every symptom under the sun the last 3 months and a bfn everytime.

Oh, ask away!
We DTD just after AF was over, because DH happened to be in town. CD 6 and 7. Then he went back to work and hasn't been home since, so no more bd. :) I got a peak on the Clear Blue Fertility Monitor on CD12, and that's when I believe I O'd (earlier than normal), but my temps didn't reflect it for a few days, so I wasn't totally sure. I had some brown gunky stuff on 6dpo, which is when implantation must have happened. My chart's still at the bottom of my posts (click the ticker) if you want to take a look. It was a weird, weird cycle.
I didn't test until today -- 10 dpo -- and I only did that because my boobs hurt so bad and the nausea was so intense this morning. Normally, I have an 11 day lp so I expected to start spotting tomorrow. I really didn't think there was a chance for a positive, but still just HAD to test. Considering that I've been starting on 7dpo for other cycles, I waited a long time. ;)
This was my 3rd month on soy isoflavones (160 on days 3-7). Other than folic acid, I was not on any other supps. I'd lost about 10 lbs over the past few months, but this month I was much, much more relaxed with diet, so I guess we'll see.

I did well with the weight loss in between ds3's birthday on 30/08 and the weekend i lost 5-6 pounds and am doing ok, although i have been naughty since we had our try this month, nothing major but a few little treats, have suddenly found the diet really hard

Only one of those girls is mine -- the other is my husbands -- so yes, at least I do know I can carry pink. They will be THRILLED if they get a sister! Out of my three pregnancies carried to term, two have been boys, but there seems to be no pattern to weight, diet, etc when it comes to my pregnancies. So we'll see! Thanks again!!!

Hey MrsP~ not sure what doc appointment you need- i always have them! Well my update is BFN. I have appointment for HT and I am trying to decide if I should try when I O in 2 weeks. I am CD2 today. Atomic thinks I should because the clomid is still in my system from last month and not taking it can help me conceive. I am worried bc I cheated for a week and a half in the 2WW. I truly thought this was it for me. Everyone pretty much thinks that since I'm so depleted that it wont maje a difference. Ive been on the diet since December and I was sick all winter into the summer.
Choices, choices. So for now I am dieting so if I ttc Im ready, and I have an apt for IVF on Oct 1st.

i think you should go for it, you have been on the diet wayyyyyy to long for a week to hurt and if AS says go for it i'd trust her (not only is she super smart but she is routing for us and wants you to succeed so advice will be in your best interests)
ht is a mjor undertaking and such a roller coaster if you can bypass it all the better, little pink ones always turn up when least expected and you've paid your dues x

Hey beadin have been thinking about you, good to see o finally showed up, did you get another opk+ to go with your chart???.
I've always said i don't do temps as the one time i tried it my chart made no sense, well....... i just checked yours (as i wanted to check you'd o'd) and it looks just like my weird chart from my last pg. I had a plus opk early in the month, my temp then repeated for 3 days followed by a small dip, i then had a major dip later on in the cycle like the one that you had for o, which i thought was o (turns out was implantation) temp stayed up after that and i gave in temping at cd27 (6 days after the dip) as i was getting married the next day, we got confirmation of pregnancy 3 days after.
Either way, fingers crossed for a bfp this month but i can't help but wonder if something unusual maybe happening for you

Thanks! I just feel so weird, I fell asleep putting Ds2 down for a nap today for 2 hours!! And I never nap!!
I see you finally ovulated! How are you feeling?
BeadinMom
September 12th, 2012, 09:34 PM
Eh. Not really sure I actually did. FF thinks I did cause of the temp drop and increase, but I never did get a positive opk - despite checking numerous times a day. :(
I also remembered that my cervix is retroverted, so I have no idea what I have been feeling. LOL.
Oh well. As long as I ovulate next month and everything gets back on track, I'll be happy.
Sounds like a VERY good sign for you!! I napped lots when I was preggers, too!!! ;) Crossing fingers and toes!!! ♥

I imagine you could still tell if it was open or closed?

I really hope that's the case with me. I'm so glad to know about your friend...it gives me hope :)
I know what you mean...it's hard, you don't want to get your hopes up, BUT you have so much to be hopeful for. Well, I'm saying a little prayer for you tonight when I go to bed. I hope you get your BFP in the next couple of days!!!

blimey spinning thats a complicated chart but o looks very clearly pinpointed, good luck to you, are you getting any symptoms, i am 8dpo and am getting lots of cramping last couple of days (was worried about a second o as mine was really early this month so just checked my cervix and its really really tight but there is a little blood - sorry tmi).
feeling like i am going insane watching my body this closely though i have no idea what happened with the boys we caught first month of trying and i never tested til i was 4 days late (i was really regular then) so it was just for a formality anyway. Since we started all this months ago i've had every symptom under the sun in the 2ww (including a 9 day late period) but always a bfn.
what do you have at the moment (kids wise)

I know right! ugh, I am hoping it is right about O. I also never tested until late with my other pregnancies so now I'm making myself nuts.
I have 2 boys, 3 1/2 and 20 months. I also recently lost a girl at 20 weeks :/ , still born. That was a surprise preg as we were starting to sway but not trying yet.So now that we are trying I don't know whats going on. DS1 was a surprise , DS2 I also charted etc for months before I could get pregnant. I'm trying to pull up my old charts with DS2 to compare my luteal phase. I figure that if my progesterone was 10.4 on Monday theres no way I could have Ovulated ..sunday...so it must be right. I'm trying to tell myself at least I O'ed and my luteal phase isn't short as long as it lasts a couple more days as long as I'm not pregnant! With DS2 I didn't even test til 18 dpo. I don't know how I was so relaxed.. I think I had almost given up at that point...

There are a few moms on here with late miscarriages recently, its awful i can't imagine how hard it must be to loose a baby let along one you've wanted for so long fate can be so cruel

I didn't realize there's been a few, that's sad.
Nope no reason at all that we know of ..which makes it really hard. I was extremely sick with her pregnancy, had hypermeisies, lost about 20 lbs ( I only weigh like 130 normally) , I had to take zofran (and I am very conservative with meds..) but I had 2 ultrasounds, one at 10 weeks because of some spotting , everything looked perfect, and one at 15 and everything looked great again, my mw heard the heartbeat strong a couple weeks later, then at 19/20 weeks we couldn't find it. She must have passed just a couple days after we heard it. I never felt much movement. But we just thought maybe I didn't feel her yet..who knows...they ran some tests etc, but they said most of the time theres no reason they find

Just wanted to let you ladies know that the First Response Digital Ovulation tests SUCK.
I sent DH to the store to get more digitals, but they were out of my regular CBE with the smileys, so he got the FR instead.
You have to start using them on "day 5 of your period or spotting." AND they have to be used within 30 days from opening.
"Do not start if past DAY 5; wait until next cycle." :(
That's fine for NEXT month, but I want to know about RIGHT NOW. UGH!
ETA:
They actually say "This test cannot be used for contraception (birth control) or gender selection." LOL. Seriously?

I'm glad to know that, Spinning...
I talked him into returning them to Walmart. They're doing me no good right now and if I do end up getting pregnant this month, that's $42 bucks down the drain.
Now I don't have any though, so tomorrow I guess I'll be heading to Target!!
I hope the confusion and chaos of this month pays off big in the end and is worth it. I'm just so tired.

Last night... at 8dpo... I found one cheapie I forgot about and in a moment of madness, I used it! Sheesh, I'm a crazy person because now I'll have to buy more.
However, a very faint line appeared pretty instantly. The past cycles when I thought I saw something, I really had to stare really hard and likely making it up. I can see this one without trying, though it's still light. But it makes me hopeful...
We'll see. Not getting my hopes up but it was mildly convincing, especially at night with non-FMU at 8dpo...

on 2 of them i can certainly see something!! Yes! I didn't fully take my temps this month (I ended up plugging some random numbers in to get crosshairs on FF!) AND I used NO OPK! So as far as what FF says... I ovulated on the CD19... which made me 8dpo yesterday.
But it wasn't even fmu, either...
Can you see why I don't belieeeeeve it??
I wasn't on the diet this month, I skipped breakfast sometimes (or if I didn't it was toast or a crumpet... tried to not eat oatmeal/cereal....), still had bad snack days, though... and gained all weight back since resuming my normal foods (mostly)... so I wasn't losing weight or very very little to make it pointless for swaying...
But basically, after two annoying months with a 50 day cycle and a 55 day cycle with ovulation happening likely around CD38... when I relaxed my food back to how I used to eat... wham, cycle is mostly normal again. Just crazy....
But it means I'd probably have a boy, even if DH and I are both vegetarian anyway.
He did FR (no LR this time)... we got 2 attempts in (the first one was no J+D but the second one I wiped immediately afterwards because I was nervous as I forgot to take an antihistamine) and then a 3rd attempt after when I supposedly ovulated so likely didn't count to anything.
Our attempts were not back to back... we'd skip a day and he'd continue to FR on those skipped days.
I did soy isoflavones, antihistamine, folic acid.
We'll see.......

I never used OPKs with my son, never took temps, etc. I thought I'd be clever with all of that business but I wonder if it also contributed to my long cycles... :( Which is why I dropped it (although started temping when I noticed some fertile signs happening.)

Yeah - even so. They really won't do anything until you've had three losses in a row. I mean, hey, it's fine... but my hope is the soy isoflavones helped my lining... because I have often wondered if perhaps that might have been a contributing factor to the two miscarriages before my son (and I conceived my son right after the second miscarriage, so I possibly had a slightly more 'rich' environment in the uterus for him to implant?)
I have read that soy should help. My last soy cycle, when I got my AF I passed tissues and more clots, which to me makes me think that the lining was better than normal. So, fingers crossed that the soy ends up being my magic trick to prevent any future loss. Fingers crossed... if this is real... (see, I still don't believe it...)

Well for forever I've ovulated on CD 14, so this is quite different for me. LOL. Yeah...I'm not sure if quitting the Vitex has something to do with it or running from Hurricane Isaac. I was really concerned initially, but now its almost become a game. LOL. I ran out of Opks & the dig ones I use weren't restocked yet (incidentally, my phone wants to correct "restocked" to "testicles"...that made me giggle). I would've gone to another store, but at this point, I thought why even bother. LOL

Not til Monday! My temps are still up. I used the cream. My hcg must be rising as my tests are getting darker... Right?
I'm gonna be so mad If I have to skip a cycle after this, butterfly did you have to after your loss? Next time they will do Clomid bc of my Prog issues. I also think they are worried about Prog bc it causes blood clots and I just found out yesterday what caused my loss is a clottin disorder! I HOPE SO HON!!!!! :fx:
I did not wait, I went with my :awe:..I got hope from ONE lady on youtube who conceived right afterwards using Red Raspberry Leaf tea and Vitex... so the day after my loss was confirmed in the ER I consulted Mocha and Atomic.. both said to go for it, so I did! Then I found RRL capsules at a store by where I live. MUCH easier to do than tea as I hate tea... and well.. when I got to the doc a month later my doc and nurse were in shock it could be a new pregnancy.. lol
But it ended up being just that! In their faces!!! The RRL tea is good to strengthen the uterine lining and the Vitex is for bringing back either AF or O whichever one will come first.
Long story short..too late.. I conceived before AF had a chance to return!
So M/C confirmed.. May 2.. May 3 I started on the supplements and all my old swaying supps..
I stopped Vitex on May 13 because my lines on my opks were coming in then fading out..
and May 21 I got my +OPK
June 3 was my BFP!
But it wasn't easy... I started out bleeding just like in April so I got into the doc the next day for Progesterone.. I don't know if the Progesterone issue comes from Vitex or what..but It was very scary and I bled red all week long!
spinningmadly
September 15th, 2012, 08:40 AM
how long did you take the red raspberry leaf tea? I also drank some after my D&E i think it's what brought my cycles back and helped my lining recover so quick..
RRL can also cause bleeding though thats why I was wondering if you stopped it with the vitex?
honestly if it results in m/c i probably won't wait , most people wouldn't have even tested already to know thye were preg..and would have just thought it was a period..just not sure when they will r/x the clomid.they want me to take it day 5-9.

I would have to go through my Vitex Journey to figure it out..but I believe at that point I was one capsule every other day.. I was weaning off.. hmm, I'm going to go check that out as you have me curious now.
Luckily I made a thread asking how to wean off my meds.. May 19 is when I dropped one RRL capsule.. hmm ..

BFN ;-(
I'm cd22 today o'd on cd 13 accourding to fertility friend (begining to wonder if it is my friend thou ;-) so ff says i'm 9dpo i usually get to 11dpo and then af shows next day.....having some cramps today but maybe over anyalising everything now!
maybe it's implantation bleeding you're having? don't like to get your hopes up cause i do it to myself every month!
i'd say you're 9 days same as me!
are you gonna test tomorrow? think i might - probably shouldn't
 really made me laugh friend does seem a bit of a joke as of late!!!!
i'm not testing again, am pretty sure i'm waiting on af and the tests round here are soooo expensive. I have no idea whats going on with my body, i want a new one!!!! I still feel really sick, cramping is pretty much going but the bloody discharge has gotten more today and gone redder in parts. From what i knew of ib it only lasts a day or so and its nothing i've ever had before so would imagine its the start of af but no idea as my cycles have gone haywire since i started to monitor them swaying thrown in has made everything so unpredictable
my emotions are all of the place as well i keep going from really sad to really cross - its amazing how hard work this stuff is catching with the boys was soo easy and fun. I had a dream the other day dh and i went into this hospital and they were rows of babies and we got to pic the one we wanted just like in the supermarket - wish it were that easy

LOL Fish...that's my plan, too!!! ;)
Maple, good luck!!! So funny to think it's Sunday already there...it's 4:40pm on Saturday here!! ;) hehe
Hope the hubby makes it home and everything goes to plan!!! ♥
Beadin!
I know, I get totally confused trying to work out time zones.. And we are now Spring YAY!
DH made it home in excellent time for our 2nd attempt. He was ambushed at the door, ordered to shower and release, and then we DTD (which was ridiculously tiring - took forever).. He was shattered! Poor bugger just wanted to crash in front of the tv after a hard weekend working. LOL. It was hilarious! I could not stop giggling..
1DPO! I hope it's a BFP this time..
How is everything with you?
All the best & GL XX

been reading all the threads on it and am considering going to bug/beg my doctor for a try on clomid next month.
I'm sick of bfn for one (although this is our first month swaying on our plan we have not been being careful for ages now and were ttc with a cut off before i found you all). I've also been having really horrid cycles, some short, some long long periods of spotting in between etc its worse than all the bfn's continual period pains for days to weeks, last month out of 26 day cycle i bleed for 15 days although just spotting. i also have a really short luteual phase, can be as short as 9 days from opk+ Never had any trouble before. Also seems to sway pink just as well if not better than herbs etc. Although no idea if he will even consider giving it to me for these reasons, i saw him a few months ago about my cycle and he said he wouldn't be bothered until we'd gone a year plus and not got a bfp
any ideas, i can't talk to anyone else in real life about this stuff so any advice would be great

My dr was willing to try the Clomid next cycle if this doesn't work out based on my low progesterone and short Lps ...have you had Prog checked at 7 dpo at all?

I am so upset right now. I knew my cycle was crazy this month, but I really believed it would happen. I was so sure of it. I really believed my temp dip today was O. So we BD'd this morning & then again this evening...after, DH went to the bathroom to clean up & noticed blood. So I went to the bathroom & noticed bright red blood when I wiped. Not a lot, but definitely spotting. My cycle was due to start again in 4 days. I guess its here early.
I am just so sad.
I guess I will be calling my doctor tomorrow to see if they'll prescribe Clomid. I can't believe I'm even at this point. I feel sick.

Hugs beadin xo
Is it possible that the blood was implant spotting? Or was there too much for that?
If you'd on cd19, that would put you at 7dpo which is the right time for implant bleed..
If not, then see if you can get some Clomid - and if they won't give you any, maybe give Soy Isoflavones a try? Though strictly speaking they don't sway pink...
Im so sorry it been such a long road for you :(
Im hoping and wishing that you see those 2 lines really soon, try not to lose hope....this will happen for you, it WILL!

Beadin:
That was my worry with soy isoflavones (not being the most girl friendly thing) but hearing from atomic and people that used it like purplepoet made me want to give it a try. I certainly noticed a positive effect to ovulation... and taken with antihistamines, hopefully it counteracts the boy-friendliness of it... because this last cycle, I didn't have a ton of CM leading up to ovulation. Maybe managed to get some on my finger when I checked but certainly not tons.
purplepoet20 took soy and is having a girl: http://genderdreaming.com/forum/add-your-girl-sway/8243-9cycles-trying-now-9mths-waiting.html
I think if we took it without doing other things, it would probably certainly sway heavily boy, but considering what everyone is doing, it might just help you have a good egg and a good ovulation and a good environment for the egg to implant in.
It's worth looking into if you cannot get clomid. If you don't want to risk it, then I'm not sure. Are your cycles usually normal?
(I really wanted to get pregnant and also I had two miscarriages before I got pregnant with my son, the second miscarriage happening right before I got pregnant with him, so I often wonder if my uterus was in a slightly 'richer' state from the lost pregnancy so he could implant easier. All just guess work, but I've wondered... so I was hopefully leaning on the fact that maybe soy could build up my lining for a good implantation, if anything!)

I'm sorry beadin :(. I was also wondering if it was too much blood to be implantation bleeding?
If I didn't get a bfp I was going to try soy next cycle myself (if drs didn't give me Clomid) since I o so late in my cycles... So maybe that is a good option?

Thanks ladies...
Your encouraging words mean a lot. I'm going to call my doctor today to see what the next step is. It's just so hard to understand this. I usually have very regular cycles, but this month, the hurricane hit right before my usual O, so it was delayed...or maybe never even happened - who knows at this point??? I never did get crosshairs on FF and even today, its giving me a green day. I don't even know what to think. I'm pretty sure this is too much for implantation bleeding & now I'm having cramps.
I guess I'll see what the doctor says & go from there. I am so grateful to know Soy is an option. At this point, I just want a baby...boy or girl.
Thanks again for being so sweet to me. It's nice to know I have such a support group here when I need it. <3

Depends if u do it through your doc or not ..... I know its not great to tell people to do thigs that are not 100 % safe but my friend is using Clomid that she ordered online - she has a friend who is a pharmacist who looked at one of the tablets and anyway long story short they are genuine so she gets her supply from him. He charges £25 per pack of 10 tablets that are 50mg in strength and he did tell her not to take more than 50mg unless she was under the care of a doctor as the side effects on 100mg can be nasty and also if your not taking them for medical reasons but to help u concieve a certain gender it could be dangerous therefore she is only going to do 3 cycles at 50mg and then if she is not pregnant re think ...... Im not saying i condone it but I am seriously thinking of stealing a cycle worth of tablets from her if i dont get pregnant this month !!

hi beadin, are you sure you didn't ovulate earlier on in the month. You got an opk same time as me from what i remember (although you were concerned it didn't stay positive for long). Maybe you o'd then and had a short positive phase but for some reason temps were off. If you had o'd then it would be the right sort of time for af now (i'm spotting awaiting af any day now from an opk+ then)

I was technically due AF on Wed. I'm sure it's AF. I don't think I ended up ovulating at all this month. I'm just so disappointed and I guess the hormones don't help.
I have a call in to my doctor's office to see what the next step is. I'm assuming it'll be Clomid. I know they say it sways girl, but I know so many people who have taken it and had boys.
Not that I even care at this point, I just want a healthy baby.
Mrs. P, I hope next month is yours. I'll keep you posted on what my doctor says. Please keep me posted on how you're doing. Thinking of you. Xx

aw thanks beadin :hug2: so nice to have you all here.
i'm feeling pretty miserable again, keep flicking between teary and wanting to rip someones head off (so not me at all i'm usually happy). Back on diet in preparation again so am starving to and my sickof these horrid cycles with days of spotting and cramping, its worse than the bfn's.
am going to see doc later on in the week see if he'd give me clomid then may do a cycle af to af of sp and vitex and strict diet then a clomid attempt by this time after ds2 i'd not only got pg but had a baby to. kinda gets to the stage where enough's enough - go kick your docs bum too (although i'm not holding out much hope my doc would like 12 failed cycles first)

I know exactly what you mean...I've never had problems getting pregnant, but I'm 40 now and things are different. At least you're young and you have time. I'm afraid this is never going to happen for me.
Maybe you could fudge a bit and tell the doc you've been trying for a bit longer? It's hard to believe I've been planning my sway since March and here I am in Sept and still no baby.
So sorry you're bouncing back and forth with the emotions and hormones, I know EXACTLY how you feel. I've spent most of this morning crying.
(((( Mrs. P )))) Keep me posted on everything. I'm thinking of you. ♥
