I know exactly what you mean...I've never had problems getting pregnant, but I'm 40 now and things are different. At least you're young and you have time. I'm afraid this is never going to happen for me.

Maybe you could fudge a bit and tell the doc you've been trying for a bit longer? It's hard to believe I've been planning my sway since March and here I am in Sept and still no baby.

So sorry you're bouncing back and forth with the emotions and hormones, I know EXACTLY how you feel. I've spent most of this morning crying.
(((( Mrs. P )))) Keep me posted on everything. I'm thinking of you. ♥

40 is not that old you know, its all the stuff were doing to prevent pg thats stopping you catching, i bet if you had a month without any swaying at all and taking a prenatal you'd catch easily (although would risk ds4)

my friend recently had her 2nd at 45. I know loads of moms older than you only saving grace to things taking so long is that it sways pink and SHE will be worth all your tears and effort xxxxxx

aw thanks beadin :hug2: so nice to have you all here.

i'm feeling pretty miserable again, keep flicking between teary and wanting to rip someones head off (so not me at all i'm usually happy). Back on diet in preparation again so am starving to and my sickof these horrid cycles with days of spotting and cramping, its worse than the bfn's.

am going to see doc later on in the week see if he'd give me clomid then may do a cycle af to af of sp and vitex and strict diet then a clomid attempt by this time after ds2 i'd not only got pg but had a baby to. kinda gets to the stage where enough's enough - go kick your docs bum too (although i'm not holding out much hope my doc would like 12 failed cycles first)

yeah i've had friends who have taken over a year to concive and they didn't have any children and thier drs wouldn't prescribe anything ;-(

LOL Mrs. P....yeah. They hurt. :( I'll take it though, if it means I'm getting somewhere. I hope we end up due date buddies together!!! ♥

P4P!! Hope you're doing well!! Missed seeing you around here!! ♥

Hey Beadin...I'm doing okay honey, hanging in there. It definitely becomes frustrating with all the prepping, then trying, then waiting, then whamo AF arrives but I just keep telling myself that every time I get a BFN is one more opportunity to make the next month a BFP. I wish it would happen already, lol. How are you doing honey?

i tested today wish i hadn't bfn again not testing again until after tuesday when af due.... i got some cheapies on ebay but i think maybe i won't get anymore as it just adds to the tourture ;-0

i know a friend told me she was preggie today...so please for her but so frustrated i can't say me too!

Fish ironically...I just had a friend tell me she was late and BAM the next day she told me she was preggie. So happy for her but I can't take the fact that she is complaining about how she wanted to wait until her son was 5 and daycare is going to be so expensive and blah blah blah. I'm just over it already! I'm just glad I have a support system here with all the ladies who want to be pregnant. Makes all the difference...ya know?

oh p4p it will be your turn very soon i'm sure, some people don't realize what they have they have but then i suppose some women would look at us and think that to (having such lovely sons and still wanting more) but then there is always someone more worse off than you.

fingers crossed for a bfp - where abouts are you in your cycle hun x

Hi Mrs. P...No I didn't forget about you ladies...I was just in moving purgatory so I couldn't really check in as much. I am still unpacking boxes and such but otherwise all moved in. We actually missed an attempt because of all the moving so I am not too disappointed about getting AF...I just wish it wouldn't be so difficult for us. Glad to see you are still hanging in there! I need all the support I can get!!

Awe Beadin - hugs XX

I'm sorry you are feeling sad. You have had a heck of a month, not a surprise your cycle is off this time round. If you are usually very regular it may not be anything to worry about though. I know you are 40 and concerned abut that.

What supps are you taking that could be screwing with it? I had to halve my dose/s of B6 & SP after a crazy cycle in Feb. Ridiculous as I want to get preg, but what I am doing is counteractive to fertility. What!?

I understand how it feels, I have been TTC all year. So totally over it, sooo totally over it.

Keep me updated & keep smiling. IT WILL HAPPEN!!

Fish,Mrs P and Beadin..
Sorry you all are having a rough time :(...
I know that when I was taking B6 and vitex it was really screwing up my cycles. even though I know vitex sways pink..

I feel kind of bad getting a BFP so soon after a loss and D&E later but I do know how frustrating it is. I seem to be able to GET pregnant..I just can't keep them between the progesterone and the APS.

Took another test this afternoon...couldn't help myself (Butterfly-I know the darkness doesn't matter but I'm still keeping my hopes up!)

oh and beadin- I was going to add that if you are worried about your age maybe stress that to your dr? I have a friend who didn't want to take clomid, the Dr suggested it afte she tried a few months and he was telling her he just felt bad bc he just didn't want her to waste another year and then come back and want to try it at her age :/

Ladies, thank you SO MUCH for your sweet words. I really haven't gone more than 15 minutes today without crying (so silly, I know), but your words have helped so much.
I'm still waiting on the nurse to call me back to discuss the situation & actually made an appt, just in case she doesn't. Unfortunately, the soonest I could get in is Oct. 25, which I guess isn't THAT bad, but I was hoping I wouldn't have to waste another month.
In the best situation, I'll ovulate this month anyway and end up with a BFP before I get to that appt. (Saying prayers that happens!!)

I've always had VERY regular cycles...28 days, O on CD14. I had been taking SP, vitex (sp & V until a couple days before O), folic acid and Baby ASA (entire cycle) since May. I continued with everything except the vitex this last month.
I don't know if quitting it or the stress of the hurricane caused anovulation and now I'm not sure if I should start back on the vitex again or just wait to see what the doctor says.

Anyway, I love you guys and I am SO GRATEFUL you all are here and so supportive...I couldn't get through this without ya!! ♥

Joining this thread today--ovulated Saturday and bd'd Friday and Sunday so...fingers crossed. Had a freak out today bc I took an Advil cold & sinus for a sinus headache and then remembered u aren't supposed to take ibuprofen when pg or ttc :( it can deter ovulation (too late for me, pretty confident I o'd) but can also deter implantation...errr do u think one pill will make a difference?

Hi ladies! Just wanted to pop in real quick and say that I can now *officially* join this thread! Pretty sure O was yesterday, so I'm in the 2WW now. Not feeling very confident that I'll get pg this month, but that's okay bc I still have weight to lose and another month on the diet will hopefully shed some more pounds. :agree:

Beadin (HUGS) for you. I know you are going through a lot with this whole TTC. Let me just tell you, though, I was on Vitex since February, to get AF back after PP. I extended BF for a long time. So finally I Od in late June and I continued the Vitex. But then last month, my second Ov, didn't come until 35 days! I usually have irregular, long cycles, but suspected it was from the Vitex, which in too high doses can suppress O. So, this month i halved my dose (to 450 mg) and I O'd 12 days sooner! This is about my normal. I think taking too many hormone altering supplements can definitely backfire. Are you taking any others? What is your VItex dose?

Spinnin: those are great BFPs!!

Beadin I reckon it just might do the trick for you! Its pretty much what happened with me, we had all the testing done = all clear, and i convinced DH that if the month was another failure then we were going to the fertility specialist - and ala, i got my BFP finally :)

Have you been on vitex long? I think i have heard that for some women it can cause issues if taken for too long?
Maybe give Soy a shot, its supposed to be the natural equivalent to clomid - and it did the trick for me and suregena..

Best of luck hun, i really really hope this happens for you soon! I'll be stalking you LOL..

Beadin, I'm so sorry you're feeling down and having issues with your cycle. :( Is this the only cycle that has gone long and crazy for you? I ask because I've had that happen before...I usually have pretty regular cycles, but then once in awhile, I'll have one long, strange, and crazy cycle just out of the blue. It might be related to stress or something else, I really don't know. But then my next cycles will be fine, back to normal. It's possible that you just had one really weird cycle. I think it's good that you're starting back up on the Vitex (AF-O) because I think it will help put your body back into a rhythm and may help you have a little bit of a more normal cycle this time. Either way, (((hugs))) to you, because I definitely understand how frustrating all of this can be.

Thanks Sweetpea! I had a good feeling, especially with all the BFPs going around. I was so scared that my temp would be down today, but it was the exact same as yesterday so I tested. I had been sick all last week so had some wacky high temps. The only other symptoms I have had all week is a crampy O-like pain in my right ovary and some slight uterus cramps. I didn't have the greatest sway due to my O being 12 days sooner this cycle, and I had just come back from vacation... I posted my attempt in that thread.

Aww thanks Lassie!! ♥
And the rest of you ladies, too... it really does make me feel better to have the support and advice of you guys!!

I took vitex for 4 months before I quit this month. And this was the first crazy month I've had. I cannot ever remember a time that I wasn't 28 days with O on CD14. Every other time I ttc, I never used opks, just dtd on & around CD14. I was running from a hurricane this cycle and I was completely stressed out because of flashbacks of Katrina, so I'm sure it's stress that caused this...BUT...I'm 40 and I know I say that all the time, but I feel like my window is closing, so I don't want to spend too much time waiting around to see if things work themselves out, ya know? (Oh yeah, that's probably the longest sentence I have ever written, LOL. Sorry!)

So I'm hoping the vitex puts me back on track and by the time I have my OB appt, it'll be my first prego visit. (How AWESOME would that be?!) ;)

And a BIG congrats to all you ladies with the BFPs!! Those of us still waiting are excited to have such a big cheering section!!! :) ♥

Thanks Mrs. P. I know it will happen eventually but it is just so hard for me especially since I am already considered to have fertility problems. I previously went through 3 failed IUI's so the fact that it is taking so long really doesn't help me feel better the second time around. I am on CD 6 today. hun i was gonna ask what you did this month, so soy and no vitex?

I did vitex for 5 months in total, followed by one month of neither soy or vitex, and then 2 of soy, and got my bfp (second soy month)

The vitex didn't seem to alter my cycles at all, or move my ovulation, i'm pretty much a clockwork 27 days cycle, and cd 13-15 ovulation. I stopped the vitex because i was worried about the long term effect, and because i was desperate to get pregnant!

I had read a lot of success stories about soy so i thought i'd give it a try, it didn't make any change to my cycle or ovulation either, but with it i got my bfp - so wether it was the soy i'll never know....the other thing that was vastly different in my bfp cycle was that i found out that i had a retroverted uterus and so we did from behind and i lay on my stomach for 20 mins afterwards (as opposed to missionary followed by lying on back)

best of luck *luck*

thanks hun, starting to feel it's just never going to happen.......um may go for the soy I was worried about the vitex too as it didn't change my cycles but i always have regualr cycles anyway ... ho hum

i have a tilted cervix so i wonder if that's having a simular effect to position...i'm droping position next month and having fun ;-0 I know exactly when my ds's were convieved (just knew no charting) and they are nice non stressed memories to just going with the flow next month maybe that'll help

so pleased for you lassie thank you for sticking around to give me hope!

you should definitely DTD from behind, or you on top - and lie on your tummy! I googled it, and read so so so many stories / posts of women who conceived that way after finding out that they uterus was tilted / retroverted...
I do wonder wether i could have had a proper sway, if only i had known about my cervix...as time dragged on the only aspect i had left was diet (and even that was not super strong) Ah well - all good! Im just happy to be pregnant :)

I'll be sticking round and stalking a fair few girls that have been on the journey along with me - and hope to see you all soon on the pregnancy forum :)

she said the ones where i had been taking virtex wern't so good (i didn't tell her why thou ;-) she wouldn't investigate any futher until we'd been trying a year (i think that's standard in the uk) but she has booked me for a blood test to check i'm ovulating so quiet pleased sorta what i expected really, feel less worried thou so hopefully that will help

Will make no difference at all. If u weren't ttc u wouldn't have even realized when u got your bfp. Your stressing will make more of a negative impact! Your good.

Well I think I am going to come over here! I had a positive opk the day before yesterday and last night, we did an attempt on both days.. I had terrible o pains all day yesterday and last night. Today the o pains are pretty much gone and the opk test is much lighter. We aren't doing anymore attempts so I don't know if I ovulated already last night/early morning or i will today! But I will consider myself in the 2ww!

So today was my final day of the SI. I am just hoping and praying that it works this time. If not, I do have a call to the fertility clinic. They are sending me some information on natural methods to get preggo so hopefully it will be something good. I think I am going to try a few more cycles with soy unless they will do some ovulation induction cycles with Clomid. I just don't want to do that because I will have to go through monitoring and such. It really eats away at my leave time and I will need it when I do get my BFP

So a big Congrats to all the new BFP's and all the progressing BFP's! Spinning, Shell, Lass how are you ladies feeling?

Aww, Chessika - sorry that AF showed. :( I hope you have better luck next month! :agree: I highly doubt I'm pg this cycle, so I will most likely be joining you!

Quick question for you ladies - has anyone ever had very sore/tender nipples as an early pg symptom? Like, REALLY early in the 2WW? I'm asking because that was one of my only clear symptoms when I was pg with DS2, and I only noticed because I was still nursing DS1, and I found it painful to nurse. However, I don't remember when in the 2WW I noticed that symptom. I'm only 3DPO, and I've had really painfully sore/tender nipples since last night. I'm not sure what it could be, because it seems like it's way too early to have any kind of pg symptoms, doesn't it? Do you think perhaps the Clomid I took this cycle is causing this? I'm stumped...

Yeah, I've been feeling this since last night (2DPO) and it's even worse today. But having symptoms at 2-3 DPO doesn't seem possible to me, either. Hmmm...I guess I'll have to just wait it out and see. I'm really wondering if maybe the Clomid has done something this cycle, to make me have this kind of symptom. IDK.

So I had the most vivid dream last night that we had a girl. I have NEVER had a dream like this. When I was pregnant with DS2 I had a dream about my ultrasound and finding out the gender but it never got to the point where I found out the gender. This one I saw the baby she was bigger than a newborn, she had my husbands big eyes and a ton of hair. It was just crazy and of course I woke up smiling because I have never had a dream like that.

I don't usually dream that I have a girl either but when I did, I always wake up with a big smile on my face.

Sweetpea, when I was pregnant with my son, the first sign I had which made me realize I was pregnant immediately was bigger boops and bigger, darker nipples. So for me the change in breasts was def 1st symptom. I hope this is it for you hun. I have been going in front of the bathroom mirror for a few days to see if my breasts are any different. At first I thought that my nipples were a bit darker, but now I think they are just the same as they were :( I was very hopeful up till yesterday and quite positive I was pg, but now I just don't think I'm pg at all :( Plus yesterday had quite some cm, but nothing today. I wish I had a binocular or something and I could peep in there to see if anything is going on...I don't know how I'm gonna manage to wait till Wednesday.

Thanks for sharing that, dreaming. :agree: It just seems so odd to me that my sore nipples could be a pg symptom, as the egg wouldn't have even implanted yet. I'm thinking that it's more likely a side effect from the Clomid I took, as sore nips at 2-3 DPO just seems way too early to me to be a pg symptom. Hmmm, I really don't know what to think.

Either way...I'm going to try my hardest to hold out until 10DPO to test (next Wednesday), but I *may* cave and test on Monday morning, at 8DPO. I've never gotten a +HPT that early, but then again, I've never tested that early before, either. I'm just so anxious to know, and I hate how the 2WW always feels like it's C-R-A-W-L-I-N-G by so slowly. :sigh:

Sweet pea-
I have a feeling I implanted late and it wasn't surprising to me because I know with my first son I did as well. I tested FAINT positive on 11 dpo and my hcg at that point was only 18! (it has doubled every 21 hours since then so things are fine) but I think we just tested so early at 11 dpo.
3 days before that I fell asleep with my son putting him to sleep and I NEVER nap. I fell asleep for 3 hours!!! and my back was hurting. I think those were my first signs and they were days before I would have tested even positive on a blood test I think..

I am cd 27 & have no idea if or when I ovulated. Negative OPK tests so I stopped checking after cd 20 b/c it was making me nervous & upset. I took a PG test today late afternoon just for the heck of it. It said negative but a few hours later it had an evaporated positive line. I know you aren't supposed to read after the allotted amount of time but last month hours later they were still stark white. What do you guys think? Also, I was so anxious over thinking I may not be ovulating for around a week or so. How long does it take to raise testosterone? So scared that if I am preggo that made me sway blue. But I am weighing in at slightly underweight now. Do you think that would "oversway" the anxiety & give me a great chance at pink still?

Hi Maple, yes we're on same CD, it's Saturday now here and I'm on CD6 today. When are you testing? I think I'm testing on Wednesday, that would be 10dpo. There's a thread for those testing on the 26th (i.e. Wednesday) if you would like to join :)

I don't think I'm pregnant though, my temps are too low, practically lower than the usual cycles, that is not a good sign at all :( and I got some cm in the first days after ovulation, but nothing now. Breasts are normal and I'm not sensitive to smelling more than usual. I don't have a good feeling. Yes I also say that I should stay away from this site for a couple of days, but then I find myself here again!

All the best to you too Maple, hope we all get our BFPs :fingers:

I have just thrown it all out this month. I keep forgetting to take my temp because the kids have been sick and in my bed. I've taken some opks the past couple days, both neg. but the one 3 days ago was light, and the one yesterday was nothing. So maybe I faded out after O. .... I've been losing weight the past few weeks. So I'm hoping that will help. We are just BD whenever. Hoping something will catch. If not this month then on hold until June.
I'm cramping today with dizziness. Strange.

My frer showed a faint, but definite, positive on 12dpo, and the internet cheapies were barely a shadow - you had to tilt and hold under light to pick anything up! It wasn't till 16 dpi that they showed up a proper positive - as in no tilting or squinting..

Maybe i just had a bad batch, but point is, never get upset if an internet cheapie is a BFN!

[QUOTE=dreamingpink77;253714]Hi Maple, yes we're on same CD, it's Saturday now here and I'm on CD6 today.

Hey Dreaming!

If you are 6DPO then you may not quite be pregnant yet anyway.. It could be in progress still!

Strange as my temps have been low post ovulation also.. To be honest I don't usually chart BBT after O has been confirmed, but I have continued temping this cycle.. My blood testing confirmed O when I suspected it. Hoping for that triphastic pattern, lol.

I will be waiting for AF or testing on 13DPO ( nxt Saturday) . I did myself more harm than good last month with my obsessive testing... I will join the thread to be nosy anyway!!

Good luck!! XX

Really? That's strange - the internet cheapies *always* show a faint positive earlier than an FRER for me. I don't know why! I tested with another cheapie HPT today - another BFN. No worries though, still very early! I'll test again tomorrow! ;)

I was hoping I could get some advice. I had an IUD removed 3 months ago and since them my cycles have been aboud 29 days. We ttc this month and AF is now 5 days late according to my 29 day cycle. I have taken several tests and they are all negative. I'm not having any pregnancy symptoms but I'm not sure at what point I should contact my doctor if AF doesn't come soon. Any suggestions?

My IC (wondfo) showed a positive 1-2 days before FRER for me.. and I had to really struggle to see it on the FRER..

Are you sure you are late, not just having a longer cycle?

You could get a blood test done if you think you are several days late for AF.. Good luck!

AFM, I got another BFN today at 8DPO. Not worried or surprised though - it's still very early and I don't think I'll get a BFP this cycle anyway. We did a really strict sway, so I doubt we caught the egg. It's okay though, I'm already planning next month's sway! ;)

Thanks, Hope&Dream! :) I told my hubby tonight that when/if I get a BFP, I want one of his delicious homemade burgers, with real mozzarella cheese (not the processed stuff) and pesto. Yum yum! I've spent this whole year barely touching meat, and I miss it and crave it once in awhile! It will be weird eating it again! I think *that* is what I miss most/has been the hardest while losing weight all this year, waiting to sway. Plus, it's been hard being on a diet for over 9 months straight, ugh. :sigh: If we got a BFP the first cycle (which I really don't think we will, I think we did too much to sway this month), I would be shocked, excited, and very nervous all at the same time! I was kind of considering this a practice cycle, in hopes that I could get my weight down some more (it's seriously stalled the past couple of weeks). :(

Anyway...if anyone deserves a BFP soon, it's you! You've been through so much, you totally deserve a sticky pink bean, and I am praying SO hard that you get one!!! :agree:

I couldn't believe I could actually EAT today, LOL! It was surprisingly hard to let go of all the LE stuff in my mind. I just couldn't bring myself to eat breakfast today, so didn't eat until after 1:00 pm, and I didn't snack either! However, after seeing the darker line on the FRER later today, I felt confident that it really was a BFP, and so I went to the store to get some things to make a BIG celebratory dinner for me, DH, and the kids! I got beef tenderloin!!! LOL! We haven't had red meat since February, and I know my poor DH was missing it. So I made the beef tenderloin with garlic mashed potatoes, cheese stuffed mushrooms, and fresh baked bread and butter. We shared a tiny chocolate and peanut butter cream pie for dessert. It was so good, but also SO foreign to us!! We haven't eaten this way in over 9 months! Very, very strange experience for sure, LOL!! ;)

I am feeling so weepy and sad, like I know I'm out this month. I did something stupid and took a FRER last night at 8dpo. Of course it was BFN, I don't know why I can't be rational about this!

Is being sad and weepy a PG symptom? haha

Being sad and weepy can totally be a pg symptom - it is for me! That's usually one of the first things that tips me off in the 2ww. 8dpo is still soooo early - try again in a couple days (or even tomorrow, if you feel like it), but just remember that it's still early and you're not out of the running yet! FX you get your BFP! ;)

Thanks, Ribbons!! :) I know, I am just shocked. I can't believe it happened the first cycle, and I am so anxious and nervous to find out the sex (which won't be until December, ugh!). We haven't told anyone we're pg IRL, and are hoping to hold out until we're out of the first trimester (mostly to protect the boys, in case something happens to this pregnancy).

So, how are you feeling?! WOW, I can't believe you're already 23 weeks pregnant! It seems like last week you were announcing your +HPT! Have you picked out a name yet? Done any shopping?

MyGirl, it's still very early, I didn't get a BFP until 12dpo and it was very very faint, so don't give up yet. Being weepy is def a pg symptom, I was very irritable in the 2ww too.

Girls, where are you posting your sways? I think the site owner created a database somewhere where we can put our sways but I don't know where it is exactly.

I know!! It's gone by sooo fast! I've done all the shopping I need to do (and a lot of shopping I didn't LOL) - I already have a ton of boy stuff so I really was set, but it felt good to buy some new cute stuff! The baby's name is Quinn but we don't have a middle name yet. I want Alexander, but DH isn't too fond of that name.

December will be here before you know it! :)

Ohhhh, I *love* the name Quinn! And I think Quinn Alexander sounds great! Hopefully your DH will come around and warm up to the middle name. It sounds like you've gotten all your shopping done already, that's great! I know what you mean with wanting to get something new just for this baby. My DS2 does have some of DS1's hand-me-downs, but I did want to get him some things that were just his, too. And if this baby is a boy, I definitely have enough boy things for the baby, but I'll still want to get a few new things. :agree: Us women, we do love to shop! ;)
