question regarding ovulation predictor

I have the clearblue easy one, the one that just has a smiley face or an empty circle. I test once a day at 1 pm or so. Two days in a row it was positive. I don't understand why. It seems like it's supposed to be only one day.

My understanding of how the smiley works is that it compares your hormone levels with the day before and if your hormones have gone up a certain amount, you'll get a smiley. If they stay the same or go down, you won't get a smiley. So your hormones had gone up a certain amount the first day, indicating a surge, and then the second day they went up even more (continued surge or it may have been that you hadn't actually surged yet the first day) so you got a second smiley.
