I know I read somewhere to just take the dosage recommended on the bottle of whichever fiber supplement you take. However, the one I got (it's generic Metamucil) says to take 5 capsules 1 to 3 times a day, which really seems like overkill to me! It says they contain "psyllium husk approx. 0.52g" in each capsule. I have been taking one in the morning and one in the evening. Should I be taking the whole dose? I am already regular and I don't want to spend all day in the bathroom!
