Hi everyone,

I am trying to make a list of food ideas, and having a bit of trouble. Just wondering what kind of things you ate for breakfast lunch dinner snack drinks?

Hopefully it can help me and some others on the board! I am just getting started.

I know protein and carb but my brain is blank after a short list! I would love any help with this.

I have
Breakfast:
Toast and egg
Toast and PB
Oatmeal with nuts and fruit

Lunch/Dinner
Tuna wrap with fruit juice
Red meat, potatoes and salad

Snacks:
Dried fruit and almonds
Egg and nuts
Banana and nuts
Cereal and almond milk

Drinks:
V8
Pineapple juice
Lemon water
Coconut water

Hi Sonia,

I am in exactly the same position and was about to post the same question! All I can add is a couple of snacks:

Crackers with cheese
Cereal with greek yoghurt

But it depends on whether you want to have diary in your boy sway diet.

I hope that someone else can give us some ideas!

It sounds like you are on the right track
I always ate eggs and toast and a fruit for breakfast or rolled oats with a protein shake and fruit and sometimes greek yogurt
lunch was my hardest meal, I ate tuna, turkey sandwich, leftovers from dinner, salads with chicken on it
Dinner was either steak, chicken, meatloaf, white fish, all with either brown rice, baked potato or sweet potato and usually a green veggie. Sometimes if I wanted pasta I would make the barilla protein plus pasta and make turkey meatballs with it.

Whew, glad I am not the only one struggling with this! I keep thinking I am missing a thread or topic since I feel like I am the only one lost on this.

I get the basic part, the protein + carb and the snacks, etc, but I feel stuck on ideas and I need a proper meal plan to help me stay on track.

Dloui,

You are always so helpful, thank you for these ideas!

I am trying to limit calcium, so that makes it a bit harder as well.

THANK YOU for your meal ideas.

Hi im a mum to 3 boys but am trying to sway pink next month so thought id share what i used to eat with you all:

breakfast was always toast, croissants, crumpets, or cereal something like that. Id then snack pretty much all morning on crisps, biscuits, sweets etc. Lunch was always a meaty sandwich or a sausage and ketchup bap etc - I HAD KETCHUP OR BROWN SAUCE ON EVERYTHING. main meals were always processed microwave stuff usuallya s limited on time otherwise things like lasagne, steak and chips, pasta with tons of sauce and cheese, chicken and chips, lots of frozen yellow dinners so chicken kievs withn chips and onion rings. Very little veg apart from maybe some sweetcorn. I ate loads of crisps like2-3 packets a day and drank shed loads of full fat fizzy drinks and loads of tea ( like about 6 cups a day )
You could try fish finger sandwiches with ketchup for lunch they are yummy :-)
Pizza chips and garlic bread
Tuna pasta with loads of added mayo
sausage mash and gravy
Steak and chips with peppercorn sauce

Basically the more i ate and the fuller i felt the better - now im getting used to salad and vegetables and hope to god all this deprivation pays off and i get my girl !!! ha ha
Good luck to you all.

I think you're totally on the right track - you can also have things like egg salad sandwich, chef salad, peanut butter and jelly sandwich, bean burrito for lunch.

Also, not sure if you're avoiding dairy or not, but full fat yogurt like Brown Cow or Mountain High, plus fresh fruit, is a great snack. Full fat yogurt with granola and nuts stirred in is a great breakfast.

I ate an avocado 5 days a week before I conceived my DS 3.

When I conceived my son I gained weight and was eating meat and fast food plus snacking a lot.

Depended on how hungry I was! I had a very physical job outdoors taking care of 50-100 dogs and puppies, and I would often come home starving, esp. in cold weather.

I make a "fakeamole" where I mash a whole avocado with some salsa and I'd eat it with chips if I was very hungry or just by itself if I wasn't as hungry. It is really less food than it sounds like (altho lots of cals!!)

That would be FABULOUS, I wish I had a clone army and an endless number of hours in the day.

I am TTC a son as well. If any of these foods seems like a bad idea for blue please let me know!

Here are my ideas so far:
breakfast:
eggs & whole grain toast
yogurt & nuts
toast & peanut butter
granola bar and peanut butter
always a banana!

lunch:
tuna and whole grain crackers or bread
meatball sub
veggie sub (I work by Subway!)
chef salad
beef & bean burrito w/guac

dinner:
tacos (sans cheese and sour cream)
beef & potatoes (meatloaf and mashed, steak and roasted potatoes, burger and fries, shepard's pie)
tamale pie (beef, beans, tomatoes, cornbread)
enchiladas (basically beef and beans in tortilla and salty enchilada sauce)
sausage, pierogies, sauerkraut

I am also trying to do lots of veggies, salted nuts, chips, raisins, prunes

to drink:
lots of my spiced up V8 (I like to add lemon juice, horseradish, worcestershire like a bloody!)
lemon water, coconut water

it all sounds great, just make sure to snack in between meals and if you do a veggie sub for lunch make sure to add something with protein
