rephresh vs replens... Another question at the end!

Ugh I am so mad at myself I went to target today and I grabbed replens not rephresh and I doubt they will take it back..Is there a major difference between the 2?

It doesn't but it's designed to keep the vaginal ph between 3.5 & 4.5 for at least 3 days. So if dh's semen ph is 9 when it enters the vagina, the Rephresh works to bring it down into the above range so that things stay kosher in the vagina, thus preventing infections and what not. Or so I've gathered from researching :)

Some people believe acetic acid is magic for pink but it's much more likely that low pH kills sperm regardless of what sort of acid it is, and that lower sperm numbers sway pink for reasons we don't yet know.

RepHresh will chemically react with everything it comes into contact with to bring pH to 4.5, so semen and CM are lowered in pH to 4.5-5 range. Replens (and acijel and sylk as well) simply combine with semen and CM and the pH is more an average between them unless you use a lot of acijel/sylk, which can kill all sperm and make it impossible to get pg.

atomic im shocked i got pg the first month.....i used acijel, rephresh, lime, and a little replens oh and sylk but that made my ph sky rocket....i wonder if i was just using to many things?

I'm shocked too. Only you and Zanacal got pg with doing all those things (and she didn't do anywhere near as much as you.) Sometimes you just get lucky but no one should count on that.

Can I just point out that even tho your pH skyrocketed, you still conceived a baby girl??

I have another repHresh question. I bought some tonight and oh my gosh this stuff isn't cheap. Do you think if would work just as fine I did 1/2 applicator every 3 days or should I do the full applicator every 3 days??

Atomic that is true! it skyrocketed MANY times!!! You probably dont remember but i was posting many times about my ph going up and the LOWEST i got it was like 5.7 for a few hours.

It isn't cheap :(
I used a full tube every three days. So, at least once on + opk..and BD 8 hrs later.
Using one tube per cycle.

I am just going to use the full tube, since they aren't clear you can't even really tell how much you are putting in either!

so if my ph is around 5-6 .... what do you recommend atomic? rephresh? or acijel?

I recommend that you read the essay I posted in the other thread because it is biologically impossible that pH stuff works (and our results bear that out because the low pH jellies are neutral, they are not helping in any way and cut odds of conception considerably). Studies done by actual doctors have shown that pH below 6 = NO sperm in the cervical crypts - not X, not Y.

If you are on Clomid, that is the best of the best sway tactics there is. One attempt is not far behind that. Don't cut your odds of conception pursuing old school stuff that DOESN'T WORK when you could be in with a viable attempt on Clomid and with one attempt.

If you have to try it, please limit yourself to 1 or two months with the pH stuff and drop it BEFORE ADDING ATTEMPTS.

We went thru a period of time 2011-2012 where we kept pH jellies and added attempts. Results were the lowest they have ever been
