I really need some help..

quick run down:

TTC 8 cycles.

-Heavy girl sway for first 3 (pretty much everything possible included)
-Dropped things the following month
-Have dropped EVERYTHING expect LE diet the last 3 months
-Have included Iron, Zinc, Soy isflavones the last 2 months.

We DTD in optimum positions, and i lie for 20 mins afterwards.

DH and I had complete fertility testing done a couple of weeks ago, everything for both of us came back perfect, everything in the normal ranges, no abnormalities what soever (my Vit D was low, and am taking a low dose supplement) so there is nothing that i can fix there. Im 29 and DH is 44.

My uterus is retroverted so this month we tried DTD from behind with me lying on my back afterwards.

My cycles are very consistent 27/28 day's, and ovulation is always between cd13-cd15 (I opk and temp)

I have plenty of EWCM

I am on the LE diet, but not overly strict..

What on earth can i do to try and fall pregnant?
Why is not not working?

I just don't get it....so many ladies (me included at first) do some many of the ttc 'unfriendly' things (sups and douches etc), and the J&D and various other thing and they fall pregnant straight away...ive been doing everything to increase my chances of falling pregnant and it just won't happen. Fell first go with DS, and had a whoops pregnancy 3 years ago that happened from a one of DTD and dh had even pulled out!

please help! any advice would be appreciated

So, you know you are ovulating? Have you had any post O testing done? Checked progestetone level?

progesterone levels are all fine.

based on my ultrasound and blood results the dr didn't want me to do dye tests for tracking ovulation, he said based on my hormones and ultrasounds and charting he is confidant that i am ovulating.

next step would be to go to a fertility specialist, but its a bit pricey, and as such DH has not agreed to go yet, he wants to give it another 3-4 months.
(and on a slightly different note he has it in his head that i will fall pregnant NEXT cycle, because if i fall then, then the due date will be his mums bday - nice sentiment, but not exactly scientific - he's been saying this for the last 2 cycles)

Im thinking clomid?? But the dr wouldn't prescribe it for me because he said it was just for those that are not ovulating.
SHould i try and find some online? Or is that risky?

At some point, I think you have to verify your tubes are open. If you are ovulating and your testing all looks fine, you have to make sure the egg can get to where it needs to go at some point.

We do a sonohysterogram with HT- they check your uterus for polyps and the tubes can be checked to see if they are open and clear of any fluid.

I think you have to verify that eventually.

Thanks NBP. I appreciate the detailed response :)

If next month is also a failure I will try and convince Dh to agree to the specialist who will hopefully do the testing you mentioned.

Is there anything you would recommend I do for my next cycle?

Would there be any point trying the syringe method? Or do I just risk infection by doing that? (it worries me what germs I might be putting inside if I get Dh to empty into a cup and then syringe it into my cervix, because obviously neither the cup or syringe would be sterile)

Just bumping this to see if there are any suggestions for next month....

DH has agreed to see the fertility specialist if next month is also a failure, so thats a positive, but i do want to have a good shot in the next cycle

Hi Lassie,

I've not been around, but just checked in- randomly, I had a dream you were pregnant, and jumped online to see if it was true! Fingers crossed that it is your month.

Just to add my two cents about the dye tube testing- I went a year trying for my first son. Then they did the dye test where they shoot it up there and watch on the screen to see the dye spill out from the tube back into the abdominal cavity (right next to the ovaries). The dye shot straight through on one tube, but on the other one you could see the dye stop, then as it built up there was a release and the dye then shot through on that side too. I ended up getting pregnant the next month. Doc said I probably had a mucus plug that just washed out when the dye went through. They say you usually alternate sites on which you ovulate, but not necessarily always- so at best chance, that whole year I only had a hope of conceiving every other month. At worst, I had less chance than that, if that was the side that ovulated more often. Anyway, just a thought. Thinking of you!

Thanks for your message - you have no idea how much i wish wish wish your dream is correct!
My temps went back up slightly, and i did a poas this afternoon, and i swear i can see something - i put it in the 2ww thread. I feel like i am going bonkers....

your story certainly gives me hope that I CAN fall pregnant soon, we've established there is nothing significantly wrong as such, so surely its got to happen soon ......

thanks so much :flowerz:
