Inky

I don't have PCOS. Just want to get that out the way because I already know I don't have it, unless I developed it very recently or something.
I used to have a too short-borderline LP (was 9-10 days). It was 12 days last month though :) And I used to O late, but this month I O'd at a good time.
But here is my situation: I took an OPK at 6dpo, because I've been wanting to see if my OPKs EVER go blank. Apparently not. But the OPK I took today was as dark as the test before I got my positive OPK this cycle.
so what I'm wondering is this: Does higher than average LH (when not ovulating) affect possibility of pregnancy or other hormones (like progesterone) at all? Is it common to have dark (not positive) OPKs at 6dpo?
