I'm enjoying my diet -- it's been a great change for me. I love the food I'm eating and I'm not hungry after I start eating for the day. :)
I am however, constantly dizzy (low blood sugar I'm assuming) and rather grumpy and listless.. I don't have much physical energy at all. That's ok, I'm fine with it, its just a very noticeable difference. ;)
I have managed to lose nearly 5 kilos already (11 lbs) but haven't lost a thing in 3 days now. I'm annoyed with it, but I guess its all averaging out ok! ;) I still have a fair bit of weight I can lose (I'm looking pretty good right now but can afford at least another 5kgs).. Maybe I should stop weighing myself for a few days until I start losing again.. Jump of the testosterone train.. Lol.. :)
Anyway -- just sharing.. Hehe. :) xox

Good luck, hope you get your kgs off :) I'm cheating a lot and I'm afraid of going on the scale, so I won't weigh myself until I start taking the diet seriously again. Is that you on the avatar picture? if so you look really pretty :) and really don't look as if you have to lose much :)

Day 4 of literally no weight loss.. Surely 1200 cals should be producing better results than this? :( I drank cayenne pepper this morning in lemon juice just to try and get my metabolism working. I've also upped my cals by 100 just in case 1200 is too low for some reason!
It is me in the avatar, but my face and butt fatness vary greatly.. Hehe. I'm a classic pear, bigger thighs and much smaller up top (probably am a size 8-10 bottom US size, and 4-6 up top) but thank you very much for your lovely compliment. :) xx

I've been on the diet for a little over 5 weeks, and I initially lost 5 pounds really quickly (in 8 days), but then my weight loss slowed. I would recommend upping your calories to 1500, drinking lots of water, and taking the fiber supplements if you aren't already. I finally started to lose again, and now I have lost a total of 10 pounds. I'm very happy with my weight loss - I am thinner than I have been in a long time.

I'm right there with ya - tiny on top and badonkadonk on the bottom!
What I would try is NOT cutting back more, I would try cutting out the empty/simple carbs and limiting to 2-3 servings of
whole grains a day. Make sure you're getting the 40-50 g protein. GEt your cals from proteins, fats, the 2-3 servings of whole grains, and then get the bulk of cals from fruits/veg. You may be a little bit insulin resistant and it's keeping the weight on.

Hmm ok.. So if I'm eating white rice for dinner as an example, should I change that to brown rice or shiratake noodles and loads of veg? I find it super hard to get enough cals from veggies. So I add jelly snakes or skinny cow ice cream etc.
Here's what I had yesterday...
Lunch (@1pm) corn tortilla with low sodium tomato paste, eggplant, zucchini, mushrooms, capsicum and mozzarella cheese; a small (150g) tub of low fat, probiotic yoghurt; cucumbers and 2T of hommus; 2 serves of marshmallows. Metamucil.
Dinner (@6.30pm) 1 cup white rice, 2 large mushrooms, 10 g Parmesan, 10g light butter, 2 boiled egg whites and a large banana. 375ml can of lemonade. Metamucil.
All up, close to 1300 cals, 39g pro, 27g fat, 700mg sodium and 1600 potassium (hence the need to take a supp.)
What do you think of that?

Give yourself some time. It'll come off.
Now, about "jelly shakes." Not sure what they are made of, but if they are gelatin you should probably avoid that. It can raise testosterone. Also, white rice if better, I believe, because it is less nutritious than brown. Also, with the whole arsenic scare involving rice right now, I'd stick with white because the processing removes the outer layer, which means it likely has less of a chance of containing high levels of arsenic.

Oh really?? My saw palmetto has gelatin in it?!?! :o
I just got my period, I'm wondering if I've been hoarding fluid or something in the lead up... :(

Yup, VERY likely. I retain about 2-3lbs of water before AF, and as soon as AF leaves the weight falls right off.
I'd give yourself a break, it's totally normal for the scale to go up and down, and you (general you) usually have a range of up to 5lbs a day (!!!) just from variances in water retention, etc. That's why it's best to weigh yourself first thing in the morning before eating/drinking anything, and after a BM. ;)
I don't remember, but are you working out at all? I'm doing the extreme-cardio version of the pink sway, and my daily workouts have me on a nice endorphin rush. It's a great counter to the fatigue and listnessness from the diet, and a good way not to think about eating, lol. Plus I can get away with eating more and stay on the high end of the LE diet range, I usually eat 1800-2000/day and still lost on that. Even if you can't commit to the extreme exercise, a daily walk outside would still help your energy levels.

The small amount of gelatin in the SP is fine. You just don't want to eat a whole lot of Jello (or I think Aussies call it jelly).

Lace, I'm doing the couch potato version of the sway.. Haha. I can't committ to the full regime, so I've gone with nothing. It's kind of a bummer cos I have a 12 month FREE gym membership that's going to waste as we speak.. :o
So I weighed myself again about an hour later, I'd done another wee and stripped off to have a shower, and lo and behold, 0.2 kg down again. Yay!
Nevertheless I adjusted my diet today and added an apple and a baked sweet potato to my lunch.. So I had:
Corn tortilla pizza with lite sour cream and shallots (spring onions?)
Yoghurt
1 serve of (5) marshmallows (instead of 2 serves - 10)
Cucumbers and hommus
Baked sweet potato with lite sour cream and garlic chives fresh from my garden.
815 calories.. = full!!
For dinner I'm planning shiratake noodles with mushies, cabbage, leeks and zucchini, a little bit of light butter, 2 boiled eggwhites, a banana and a skinny cow ice cream.
446 cals.
Totals:
1261 cals
41 protein
34 fat
600 sodium
2500 potassium (thanks sweet potato!)
Is this diet ok?? I'm closing in on the 6 week mark and need it to be right...! ;)

Hi HopingforSaskia
The foods you are eating look fantastic for the LE diet. I wouldnt change much about what you are eating, I think it looks like you are getting it exactly right. I think I have read Atomic say somewhere that if you are eating a low fat, low protein diet, even if you werent losing a thing, you would still be strongly swaying pink. I have been holding to that thought. I have found my weight loss is very all over the place. I can go for weeks not appearing to lose a thing at all (VERY disheartening) and then all of a sudden 2-3kg goes very rapidly. I definitely retain weight or fluid just prior to AF and lose a lot as AF passes, that isnt the situation for you is it? I find weighing myself too frequently just makes me crazy, I start getting disheartened and discouraged if I dont see the scales moving quickly... then I start second guessing myself and the diet... just creates a lot of stress. Now I weigh myself once a week only, and I am less stressed. I think weight loss is not meant to be more than 500g in a week to be "healthy" anyway. I found that I lost a fair bit quickly when I started and then the losses werent as full on after that for a while... I think that is normal. I have also noticed that even when I havent seemed to lose anything on the scale some weeks, I am definitely losing fat from my stomach as it is getting skinnier all the time. Dont know how that works, but it suggests my body is still being affected by the LE diet even when the scales arent coming to the party. Dont forget most scales are meant to only be accurate to within 0.5 - 2kg anyway and things like time of day, time of the month, when you last ate and went to the bathroom can affect your weight. Anyway, sounds like you are doing a great job.... keep going, dont be discouraged (2 weeks isnt very long really to be on the diet yet so I am sure you will see more weight coming off as you continue to be on it) and I hope you get your pink bubba.

Oh I just wrote my comment above without having read your comment about AF... yep I DEFINITELY think that was part of it. I have always noticed myself that I retain weight before AF and drop it afterwards... I researched this recently and apparently it is very common amongst women. Your meals look yummo!

Thanks so much for your input! I don't know why I'm second guessing myself.. Silly really, since I spent literally weeks nutting it all out.. ;) hopefully when I weigh myself again the scales will show some improvement! :)

The gelatin is a miniscule amount used in the formulation of the pill and does not sway one iota.

Diet looks good altho I'd like to see a hint more sodium - your body needs sodium, can't cut it out all together. 700-1000 mg

Low carb veggies are free, don't count those. Yes, try switching to brown rice and seeing if it helps. the way I would increase cals without protein or simple carbs, is switching to full fat yogurt and butter.

How is the weight loss going HopingforSaskia? You must be getting close to your attempt! Very exciting :)

Aw hey! Yes! I'm about 4 weeks out... So exciting!! I've lost almost 8kgs now and my bmi is at 23 (I look thinner though because I'm SO SAGGY!!) hahaha.) So I've gone from 75.1 to 67.5 in about a month.
I'm super hungry this week though.. Is it because I've hit the month marker or do you think it's because I'm ovulating? We'll wait until next Ov before we attempt. :)
Thank you for asking!! How are things for you??

Thanks lotus! You're too sweet. :)
When are you ttc again? Hows things going at present? I'm ovulating now for the last time before we ttc.. Probably the only time ever I'm excited to get my period.. Haha! ;) Bring on sway month!!
I had a cheat on the weekend... I was asked out to dinner by a girlfriend who was being awkward and weird, so I said yes (just to have the chance to talk properly with her). I ended up sticking to vegetarian, as good as her seared swordfish looked and smelled... But would've for sure gone over on fat, cals and sodium for the day. I also had a gin martini (first ever!) and it was really great!!! I felt bad the day after, until I remembered atomic saying that cheating is "encouraged".. Then I relaxed. ;)
I am such a boy mum... MUST. BE. PERFECT. :D
