well got my BFP and after 12 weeks on the LE diet went super mad on stuffing my face with all sorts of rubbish ad am now paying the price via a nice bout of constipation.

Any reccomendations on what i can take in the early stages of pregnancy ?

Thanks

Orange juice (pure) helps. Sitting in a hot bath. Muesli and strong coffee!

I REALLY struggled coming off the diet, going back to normal food, and handling being pregnant. I had the worst stomach pains/constipation/diarrhea all in one until I hit 8/9 weeks. It was a nightmare!

Colace is OK to take while pregnant. It sort of worked....but once I started the zofran and was taking a multi-vitamin, it didn't work too much. Now I am taking a gentle multivitamin and no zofran and feel much better!

if you're taking more muesli/fibres, you have to drink lots of water!
my mother always said that eating prunes helps (or is it plums, in English? hmmmm this reminds me of nanny plum, Little Kingdom)

Take prune juice! It's nasty, but it works! I was SOO constipated this pregnancy, especially the earlier weeks!

Same thing has happened to me! I have taken the colace for a couple days now and don't notice too much difference :( and taking benefibre in my water. I had this problem my whole last preg so now I'm starting to think it's not just my change in diet lol if you find something that works please tell me! I may try the prune juice lol

Coffee works too. I just couldn't drink it b/c the smell made me so nauseous!

Warm prune juice worked like a charm for me last time. Haven't had it during this pregnancy so far but I'm still haunted by that experience. Sorry you're suffering and I hope you get relief soon.

I use Miralax when desperate and it takes 1-3 days but always works. My Dr said its totally safe!
