View Full Version : Cranberry - can it raise PH?

Am fairly new to this site.

After a failed IG sway last year, I am thinking about swaying again next year to TTC our final baby.

Following my failed sway (resulting in my absolutely gorgeous DS2!) and having read a lot of info on this site, I am planning on dropping calcium/mag from my sway attempt.

Should I still take cranberry? Is this ever known to raise PH? I just feel that as I took so much for so long (10000mg 2 x per day for 3 months) that perhaps it raised my Ph?

Also, what is best for DH to take if he has high PH or testosterone?

My loose plan is:
LE diet for 6 weeks prior to attempt (inc lots of sprite zero and one coffee a day with sweetener)
Baby asprin
Refresh (maybe?!)
Abstain for 7 days with one attempt at fertile time (both my boys were concveived with BD most days over fertile window with the exception of 1 or 2 days.

DH is 36

Any thoughts on this?
Thanks!
Lolly

If you are already planning to take baby aspirin, don't worry about taking cranberry. Regardless of its effect on ph, cranberry does the same thing as baby aspirin but isn't as safe and has more nutrients, which could sway blue. Here's the article Atomic wrote about it with more info: How to lower pH via supps - cran, baby aspirin, aspartame and other techniques!! Also, check out this thread about pH - you may find it helpful.

I personally don't love people taking cranberry for the reasons outlined in the link that Sihaya posted (thank you!!) both safety and because of the nutrients, and for sure not with baby aspirin.

Best supp for DH is licorice root. You may want to read this before deciding about abstinence http://genderdreaming.com/forum/trying-conceive-girl/8801-articles-studies-about-why-abstain-not-good-males-over-35-a.html
