Hi I used an oakton. It was super easy to use but really wish I didn't spend the money as I've turned it on maybe 3 times lol! Then I never bothered keeping track, too stressful for me personally!

I had the Hannah. I dont recommend it. Too finicky. I had the best success with pH paper. I bought this: Micro Essential Lab M-1110 Hydrion Brilliant Mikro pH Test Paper,0.0 - 6.0 pH and 3.5 - 9.0 pH: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0045I6JTE/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i02)

It was great. Because you can just rip off a tiny piece, it will last you forever. Plus there are actually 2 different papers in there to cover the pH all the way from 0-9. You can use it to test yourself and DH. I used it for myself and would actually rip off from both rolls so I got a double check each time.
