Ive had 3 children and never had a potty shot - I dont know if its because we have always when asked said we dont want to know so they just dont go down there ? Ive always hoped to see something i shouldnt or that the sonograher forgets to ask us or accidentally shows us the wrong bits as ive wanted to know each time but hubby doesnt .

Well, if you say you don't want to know they definitely won't give you one!
The way mine went is I let the tech check all the health issues first and usually they will then ask if you want to know the sex of the baby. Then, they will print the potty shot.
Unless you're in China or India, I am sure they will ask if you want to know at some point!

techs in the uk can get snotty if you ask for nub shots to - no idea why unless its the ones round by us and they are just snotty in general

At every sonogram I have had they always ask if I want to know the sex of the baby, when I say yes they then check and tell me what it is and give me a potty shot

So far, no potty shots for me either. When I asked the ultrasound tech. if she could take a peek at the sex of the baby at our 12 week sonogram she laughed at me and told me it was "Way too early and impossible to know." I'm hoping that she'll be a little more open to checking at our 20 week scan!

My clinic won't print them...they liken them to child porn, yup.

OMG what is wrong with people - when my son started nursery he was slow potty training and still wore a nappy (he was only just three) and they refused to change him - said it was against the child protection laws. They used to call out of work to change him - which i didn't mind but that was only when they could be bothered, one day i fetched him and was stuck in a pooey nappy which was obviously really old and welded to him - he cried so much as i tried to change him and was that sore he cried everytime he sat down for ages

things might be different in the uk? they have always gave me one if i was 16+ weeks. i never had to ask except at my 24 week scan and they were happy to do it when i asked. before 16 weeks sometimes they will say it's to early.
