Maybe i am weird (hope not LOL) but i have to admit I have a secret stash of baby girl items. Outfits, blankets, bottles, head bands. I buy them whenever i see a good sale or see something so cute i have to have! Not knowing when or IF i will be able to use these things. My Husband doesn't even know i buy these things (i stuff them far back in my closet in a bag) but my Oldest son saw some stuff i brought yesterday and said Mommy are you having a baby? I told Him no i brought them for someone having a baby girl soon LOL. I felt so silly i got caught kind of LOL. Anyone else ever buy things not knowing if they are gonna get their baby girl? I do feel desperate after having 6 boys but don't want others to think maybe this is a mental type thing, it shouldn't go this far wanting a girl so bad that's not even here .

I had a friend that went on an instinct that she was having a girl. She bought everything a baby would need all the way to a 2t for a girl. She had a boy. I thought she was over the top, like WAY over the top with it. A few things here and there like you have...no big deal at all.
I have found a few girly things I would like to buy but hubby says no, he doesn't want me to be upset when it's another boy by finding the girly stuff and having to return it.

yeah i have a couple of things including the most beautiful mamas and papas rag doll that i feel for the instance i saw it and would love to give it to my daughter one day.
most women note on their girl sways that they have a pink outfit under the bed so must own such things - either we are all weird or all just normal - no idea which though!

Thanks pebmcp6 for asking about me, BFN this month and i am on CD4. I am trying my best to diet but it's so hard. I am cutting back on my calories and not snacking really. I went overboard on the RePhresh last month and will use it still but not so much like i did. I hope i am not jinxing myself but i can't help it i am so ready to shop PINK for a change! LOL. I hope you get your BFP this month:XX: GOOD LUCK!!!!

I have two baby girl outfits under our mattress! One gorgeous pink cotton romper for the summer and a lilac traditional dress with bloomers. They are my good luck charms and I even go so far as to only put neutral-coloured bedding (no duck-egg blue to match the curtains) on our bed during ov week and will wear pink undies and socks on ov day!
Don't feel like you're strange, you're among others who TOTALLY understand here! I remember when ds1 was born being told about a lady who lived nearby who had a much older boy, but when he was born *apparently* she used to dress him in girls clothing! Of course, at the time I laughed (albeit uncomfortably, as it struck a tiny chord) but now I totally understand, though I could never do that to a son of mine!
It's silly but even though I have major worries about never having a girl, deep down I've never stopped believing that I will get to use those outfits - even if she has to be dressed in thick tights and a big winter cardi if she's born in the wrong months for the summer outfit!!
I see the outfits as a tangible extension of your hope and dreams - never give up on them!!

nooo way! I bought a girl dress when I was pregnant with DS2, I was so sure he was a girl.. I will NEVER do that again. I am scared I am going to jinx it. Also with DS2 we only had a girl name picked out. Well this time around I won't even talk about girls names! Now when I am at the store I may browse and pray and hope that one day I will be able to shop in the section.

When I started scrapbooking 12 years ago, I stocked up on girl scrapbooking stuff because I was just SURE I would have a girl or 2 someday. As far as clothes go, my younger sister had a girl 2 years ago, and she has given me all of her clothes because she knows we're swaying for a little lady. I am probably just jinxing myself, but I hope I will get to use it all someday!

I didn't buy or own one piece of girl clothing before DD. I was just very superstitious about jinxing it and having another son. I even kept all the newborn 0-9 clothing in the bottom of the closet and wouldn't let it go to the attic until I had confirmation that she was a girl.
We had the name Lillian picked out for DS2 if he had been a girl, and DH was so convinced it was going to be a girl we didn't even discuss boy names untl we found out about his gender. I knew all along tho that DS2 was a boy (gut feeling, or you could say lucky guess)
I really hope all of ya'll who have girl clothing get a girl to put them in! :)

I was always dead against buying pink before hand....I did buy a newborn item in each of my 2ww's while TTC, but it was always unisex.
Then when i found out i was pregnant, I was browsing online, and saw these 2 dresses, which were IDENTICAL to dresses that i have always imaged that I would have my baby girl in, not becuase i had 'seen' these dresses before, I hadn't, they were just in my imagination. I tell you my heart skipped a beat when i saw those dresses - and so i ordered them :( I didnt tell DH, he would think its very silly.
In some ways i regret buying them, because if it turns out that baby is a boy, i know it will be incredibly hard knowing that I have the dresses, but can never use the (I would love a 3rd of 4th baby, but DH is adamant that he is stopping at 2)
They are packed away, in a little box, in the very back corner of a cupboard...
But its so good to know im not alone in having brought things :)
Those of you that have pink things, what will you do with them if you have another boy - do you think you will give them away? I dont know what i will do with these dresses, my head says given them away - but i know in my heart i will want to keep them..

I use cloth diapers and had a small stash of girl ones. I of course sold them when my lil boy was born lol but I did keep one diaper cover because it was a htf item. Gotta get that out and get it under my bed:)

I bought a cute red onesie with bambie print one it. I put it in my drawer. That's the only thing I ever bought and I might give it to a friend one day, if this won't work out.

Oh boys4 I forgot I had a couple of girl cloth nappies!
For me all of things you see in the pic are all sale items! Actually clearance! Some of the gorgeous onsies were two bucks. About 6 of those outfits were high brand clothing. Bebe Ralph etc. but I bought them from a sale page on Facebook. Brand new still with tags for 1 and 2 bucks. Scored lucky there!!!
The pumpkin patch were all out of season and bought when I made a purchase for the boys. =)

I have never bought anything girly, but I have some items from when I was little and some items that were bought for me at my baby shower that were girly, that I saved. I keep them sort of hidden away, but I don't know if I will ever have the heart to give them away. I will probably keep it for my future granddaughters :D

I don't have any now but I'm sooo tempted everytime I see cute girly clothes. I think I may buy one thing to help keep me focused during my sway :)

I did buy a few things along the way and then got rid of almost all of them, except for something my grandmother gave me when I was pg with DS 2 right before she died, and a little dress I crocheted when I was pg with DS 2, I kept those for my grandkids thinking I would never have a daughter.
Funnily enough, the one little onesie that managed to fall thru the cracks and I didn't get rid of, I put onto Suzy and she immediately took the world's hugest dump in it and stained it beyond saving! o.O

I bought one yesterday... <averts eyes to ground> But hey, it could always be a good shower gift! (At least I can justify it that way, but it would be like a stab in the heart to actually give it away) I have six dresses total.

There was this gorgeous onsie at a used store that I fell in love with last week. If I am told girl on Saturday I am going straight back there to see if it has been sold. I am sure it has but just in case! Or maybe I should go the day before and if it's still there it's a sign! haha

I haven't bought anything, I guess I feel it would jinx it. I dunno, it my heart I know that won't cause it to be a girl or boy, but I don't think I would like having it still if this one ends up a boy.

I didnt buy anything girly, but I bought a lot of things (esp. bigger more expensive stuff like the pram, car seat etc.) unisex when expecting my ds2 as I was convinced I would have a daughter one day. And I did, just little over a year later ;)

I did with my first one - I just KNEW she was a girl, but unfortunately I haven't been able to bring myself to buy anything baby related before I've gone past my 20wk scan since. I did buy a little pink elephant before knowing my 1st DS was a boy, but that was because it was the last one left and it so darn cute and funnily enough, as it turned out - my friend who was pregnant too, bought the same thing except in a blue lamb and she had a girl - so we traded! lol

I've got a box of baby girl stuff in our basement that a friend gave me, just in case our third was a girl. I leant her loads of neutral stuff and my moses basket etc so she wanted to repay me. Most of it is all second hand stuff that she was given from someone else, I haven't bought anything yet but I am bad for having a sneaky peak at all the gorgeous baby girl stuff in the shops on the pretence that it is for a friend! ;)
I figure I may as well daydream as much as I can now as in a few weeks I'll know one way or another, and this is definitely our last regardless of gender. xx

I'm glad I read this thread.
Now I don't feel like a basket case anymore with all the girls stuff :giggle:
