HELP DH PH IS A 9!!!

tmi- but no wonder we have boys and I have a history of getting bv uggggg.
isn't it supposed to be around a 7?? now I'm searching all over the site on how to get it down since I wasn't really gonna focus on ph but things have changed:)
I remeMber reading somewhere that if it gets to low you can kill sperm. Is there any way we could get it to low by doing like CL or sudafed? oh will zrtec(allergy med) work instead of sudfed becasue we already have that??
We aren't doing cranberry or aspirin so don't have to worry about them conflicting. Has anyone dh had ph this high and what did you do to lower? We have about 2-3 weeks before our attemps:)(exciting soo close)

checked again this time w/o bd and checking right away and it was an 8
took some zyrtec last night and going to see if that lowers also-

I answered this on another thread but for anyone who is interested, your DH pH can temporarily rise from things he eats and drinks (remember, his swimmer hole is the same as his peepee hole :p)

If his pH stays high day in and day out he needs to see a doctor to rule out infections and very rare and scary things that can make pH go up.

I've never heard of anyone getting semen pH below the safe range - you can only do that once the semen has left the body.

We have not tested Z to see if it makes pH drop like Sudafed does. if you test it, update us!! I do think DH taking Z does sway pink regardless of whether it affects pH or not.

we tested the zyrtec and it did not make it go down. it was abut 16 hours after he took it though so not sure if it would work better closer. we are going to check w/ sudafed to see if it actually does go down. i talked to him and made sure he didn't have any crazy symptoms but like you said smetimes they don't. will keep you posted.

I wouldnt be to concerned......i had a successful girl sway and DH had ph of 9 as well!!! i am starting now to think ph isnt as important. He wouldnt take anything to lower it but cranberry
