My skin has been extremely dry, but over the last few days, I have gotten this awful itchy rash on my thighs only. The bumps are really raised and red...almost like pimples. I have been putting lotion on and it isn't getting better. What could this be? Could I be having an allergic reaction to something or is this pregnancy related. What can I do to make it go away besides being itchy, it is really ugly!!!

The was an article posted in the news section about PEP?? I think its a reaction during pregnancy?? I think it happens in boy pregnancies so fingers x'ed its just your washing powder!! But if it is the PEP it can be treated with something?? Ill look for the story xx

That lady's rash looks awful!!! Mine looks nothing like like so hopefully that is not what I have!!

DH has gotten new stuff for the laundry - scent booster - hopefully this is what it is. I will have to take a picture and upload!

Thats too much of a coincidence that you've bought new laundry scent!!! When my DS1 was a baby I started using tumble dryer sheets and his face came up in a nasty red rash, too much perfume! I bet thats what you've got!! Blame DH, they're nothing but trouble:bigsmile: and rewash your clothes and bed sheets:agree:

LOL! Damn those DH men!!!!!!!! I was thinking it could be eczema...Ds1 has a touch of it so I was thinking the dry skin + pregnancy could have caused it. If it is eczema, should I go to the dr or if it doesn't go away?

I don't know much about eczema, but I'm pretty sure that you can buy some good creams from the supermarket, Im UK and I know oilatum and E45 are meant to be good. See if it clears up in a few days after washing the scent out, especially out of the bed clothes as thats where we spend half the day almost, and if your prone to hot spells in bed then the heat/sweat releases the scent chemicals even more, if its not cleared or clearing then see what the Dr would prescribe:)

No! It is on my thighs...both of them....tops only...almost like razor burn but more raised! It is UGLY! I do think the lotion is helping, but it is still there.

Did you just shave your legs? i get that if i change razors sometimes, exfoliating with a loofa in the shower helps.

I have heaps of things about eczema I can say, my boys both have sever ectopic. Anything concerning skin is eczema because eczema is anything to do with skin. Make sure you are using a unscented cream vary basic no nice smells, watch were you are spraying perfume and spray deodorant. Don't use any soap, and use sensitive clothes wash. Your GP will have some cream he/she will be able to prescribe. Pregnancy makes your skin more sensitive and also makes food allergy's pop up too. The picture looks like it would be sore, soothing you can use a cold compress, try not to let yourself over heat. A zinc based cream like Sudocrem will help sooth when sore and will stock up your cupboard on nappy rash cream for when bub's comes :) Sudocrem - Nappy Rash Cream (http://www.sudocrem.com/). Don't rub dab when drying! :)

No! It has been like this for a few days now! It does get worse after I shave though.
