Is coffee good for a girl sway? i NEVER did drink it with all of my boys. But i am this time around. I've seen so many women drink it with their successful girl sways but then again hear some drink it and have boys. Is it really acidic to the body? Weird cause i actually crave it now while swaying LOL.

Yes, I don't know if it's acidic or whatnot but higher intake of caff has seemed to sway pink for people. This was one of the first things I noticed back on IG not adding up, because tons of the pink mamas were coffee junkies including my mom, stepmom, and MIL. I believe caff lowers overall fertility and sways that way.

I was drinking the highest caff intake by FAR when I got DD as was DH.

I would be willing to bet it sways pink (skim milk or black coffee only though) due to the fact caffeine blocks the body from absorbing nutrients.

I used to donate blood and when I took up drinking coffee at work and home I tried to donate again and failed the iron levels in the pin prick test. The nurse quizzed me on what had changed in my diet and I told her about starting coffee and also wine more often due to being in the corporate world all of a sudden, and she explained in great detail that both alcohol and caffeine block the body's natural absorption of minerals and continue doing so for HOURS after consumption.

So if LE diet is correct, it's the coffee blocking the nutrients that's swaying pink.

Yay! Finally something I LIKE on the girl diet. Dying here!!

Not sure what I'm having yet but I continued to drink caffeinated drinks while ttc this time and only took folic acid as when I was ttc my first two (both boys) I switched to decaf everything and was taking a prenatal multivitamin. Fingers crossed it helped my pink sway! x

Well, some of the info about coffee blocking nutrients has been debunked (it doesn't actually block calcium, they have tested it) but it DOES interfere with iron absorption as does tea! :)

I am really not keen on coffee but am partial to tea, although had been drinking decaff - oops. I have read though that boy Mums seem to be tea drinkers, why is this?

Fantastic, glad it effects iron and not calcium, since that's perfect for pink sway, and if anything my one cheat is some chicken occasionally when I can't avoid it. I am on LE diet but taking some tips where convenient from what I learned on IG (as in not many veggies or acidic fruit). Mainly because for me, I used to eat a very varied and healthy diet full of many acidic fruits and lots of high nutrient vegetables, and high in salt. So both LE and the IG diets seemed to have points in their pink away recommendations that were the opposite of what I naturally do. Also hoping cutting soy milk will be my magic bullet. I drank soy heavily with both my boys!

It NEVER comes down to one thing like that. There are dozens if not hundreds of things that can sway, and coffee drinking is just one of many. :)

Coffee issue has been bugging me for quite a while....During my failed blue sway I was drinking Nescafe with full fat milk and teaspoon of brown sugar 1-2 times a day.

When I conceived DD1 I was drinking black coffee with some sugar but not every day.

A good friend of mine is coffee junkie, black coffee no sugar ( it's a poison, I tasted it) for 5-6 times a day, and she has 3 boys. But she also has problems with acne ( testosterone issues?) so maybe that is the answer to 3 boys?

My sister has 1 boy, she drinks 2-3 cups of black coffee with sugar and my SIL ( 2 boys) drinks any sort of coffee as long as it has some caffeine lol!

What to do to get my boy????? :hair:

Thank goodness as I can't abide the taste of any tea or coffee!! I have developed a bit of a taste for diet pepsi since being on the LE diet and am trying to drink a can a day. It is a change as I've never had caffeine in my diet previously (not a chocolate junkie or anything) so hoping it might be enough to tip the balance in my favour!

How much did you take daily?

I was having no dairy except cheese occasionally so I'd say a litre a day on average, over my cereal, coffee/tea/hot chocolate, in cooking and so on. So a LOT

It is very very unlikely that your sway ever came down to just coffee, Z.

I'd have you switch to tea and give the coffee a pas next time around.

Remember, it's not the presence or absence of a particular food - there is no magic to it. It's how the food in question reacts in YOUR body to send a message about which gender baby has the best shot of survival.

If your body "thinks" times are good and mama is large and in charge, you'll be more likely to have a boy regardless of coffee intake. If your body doesn't tolerate even small amounts of caffeine well and (much more likely) you're diminished in condition for other reasons entirely, then even moderate caff intake may be too much for you to conceive a boy.
