Well i've known for years that i have a tilted cervix. But today i had my yearly pap and it was so hard for my doctor to find my cervix. i never had this problem during a pap test before but labor wise when they checked my cervix. So i had to lift my bottom up and put my hands under me then the doctor was able to see my cervix finally i was a little scared thinking where did my cervix go did it disappear
So my question to those with a titled cervix does it take longer to conceive? Is it normal for a doctor to have some trouble finding the cervix if it is tilted? I noticed with my last child i had to put a pillow under me after BD in order to conceive. With the 2 kids before that my DH keep his (man part) sorry tmi in me for like sometime after BD well we both fall a sleep afterwards lol.
I wonder could it be cause i am due to O any day now as to why my cervix is so high up and hard to find.

Yes, I have one. exactly like you describe, they have a very hard time getting paps on me. Totally normal and it's believed it's just a variation like having brown vs. blue eyes, not a medical condition.

doctors used to think a tipped cervix/uterus made it hard to conceive, but it has been disproven. You may ~think~ you needed to put the pillow under your hips but it's likely just coincidence - it may have made it easier to conceive, but you still can conceive without it.

I have a hard time getting my diaphragm out at ovulation so it may be why yours is hard to find.

I have a tilted uterus, I have two girls and 1 boy on the way and the only time I ever used a pillow to prop my hips up was when I was swaying for a boy. My dr always tells me its tilted when I go for a pap smear, not sure why she tells me all the time maybe cause it takes her a little longer to do the pap. It took 4 months to conceive the baby I am carrying now and DD1 took about 5 months and DD2 was an oops so it didn't take long at all :)
