Will it ever come back and why is it down? Anyone know?
UPDATE: It's back up now!

It's ALWAYS had issues.
I find it VERY SAD though that Maureen came back long enough to encourage people to BUY GOLD again and then right after the site went back down.
Not sure if you migrated here from there, but I can assure you - you will find a different, but MUCH BETTER way of swaying over here. People are VERY supportive and informative.
AND you will never have to worry about this site being down.
Welcome!!! :)

Thanks Beadinmom! It's too late for a sway unfortunately, as I'm already pregnant :)
I want to see confirmed 12 week nub/skull pictures and IG has a HUGE post with confirmed nub pictures, like 50-70 pages long. There aren't many confirmed nub pictures on this site, even though the rest seems pretty the same as IG.

Aww congratulations!!! :)
Did they put those confirmed nub pictures back? I know they had taken them down for a while...the site came back, but those posts were all gone.
It's actually not the same as IG...the sway is very different - just fyi.
Good luck!!! Hope you get confirmation soon!! :)

Those posts were back yes. At least when the site was still up...
I know nothing about swaying, so I believe you about the differences :)
All I need is support during this pregnancy really, so that feels the same on both websites really.
Are you trying to sway?

Thanks for this post! I have been trying to get on for weeks with no success and now I know it's not just me. I was in a group with some other ladies due the same time I am and have been anxiously waiting to find out the results of their gender scans. I feel sad that I may never know or have contact with them again :(

It is sad about IG, I can relate Kat. I found IG in the late summer of 2010 and was trying for a girl. I found a lovely group to join into and the girls were great! Too bad IG had all these issues and we all ended up getting separated. Some of us found our way to other sites, like GD :) but not everyone. I hope they're all doing well and any babies they've had or are having.
I hope you find your fellow group members here. xxx

UGH I still have guilt over talking people into buying Gold membership the first time and then Maureen took a powder right afterwards and tons of people lost their $$. I seriously expected the police to show up at my door! o.O
I ~think~ that the reason the site is down is that it ~may~ be getting fixed. I do know that Maureen suddenly came out of the woodwork about 6 weeks ago and contacted some of the longtime IG girls who she was at one time close with (she disappeared for EVERYONE and the rumors that people were secretly in contact with her are totally untrue - some of the IG Old Guard were very very hurt by what she did and she completely dropped out of everyone's life.)

It is very sad that so many of us have invested so much time, energy and emotion into IG and to have it go down likes this just feels like the loss of so many friendships. I really hope that IG is being fixed but am quickly losing faith each day. I really hope more IG ladies find their way here too because this seems to be a lovely place.

Yep I feel that I have invested way to much of my time over there, tried to stay loyal to IG but I'm just about over it now.

Hi ladies, it's nice to see so many familiar names on here. Feels really lonely not being able to log in to IG. Hope it gets sorted soon. I'm due in a month with my 4th I already have 3 boys and staying team green. I really feel sad and let down. Been on that site for a few years :((

I had wondered what happened too, didn't go on often but kind of relied on it being there when the time came, and it's nearly time!

Good luck ladies...so glad you found your way over here!! I did the same thing a long time ago when IG was down and I haven't been back since!! (Okay briefly to guess on U/S's...lol)
WELCOME!!! :)

I miss the ultrasound forums at IG. They had a HUGE selection of 12 week/nub confirmed gender ultrasounds.

Yes, there is an ultrasound gallery of confirmed boys and girls. So please post! It's just not as large as the IG one.

I left In-Gender ages ago. I really hope Atomic is right, and that Maureen really is trying to upgrade the whole website, but either way I won't be going back. I'm so tired of seeing errors all the time.
And Perla, wow only one more month left! I bet it's a girl ;)

I hate to say it, but I don't miss IG at all! Oh, I'm grateful that IG taught me that many women have GD, but once I came over here I never left. I love it here. I always feel welcome, it always works, my questions always get answered and I really believe the women here are caring and awesome!
No offense to IG, but I wouldn't go back even if I was guaranteed a girl. I like it here that much.

Agreed!
Its just my TTC thread of friends that I miss. However, it looks like they are jumping ship anyway..

The technical challenges aside, I learned a lot at IG and I particular took pleasure in reviewing each and every unconfirmed or confirmed ultrasound. I just don't get that the site has been down for so long so I went surfing for another board :-)
I truly love the genuine care I feel between the posters here. Very different from the babycenter's forum. OMG! That's all I have to say about babycenter

I feel the same as most of you. I hope it gets back up so I can at least save my sway so I can keep it. I'm sure if I tried hard enough I could remember but would be a lot easier if I could find it there.
It's hard to get used to GD because I followed the pretty strict diet etc of IG so I feel like I can't offer as much advice to newbies etc here. I'm already pregnant (16 weeks) so there isn't much point in me reviewing the swaying techniques here
either. Oh well.
I am enjoying it here though.

This is my first post here. I was wondering what happened to IG, but now I think I'm just going to stay here. I'm tired of waiting for IG to come back.

I stalked Atomic and found her here...I swayed Trivers Willard style in 2009 and got my boy. Just had to thank her! And I've never turned back, those monkeys make me INSANE.

I also loved IG and now just getting to grips with GD. I struggle to find info on what GD recommend though - IG had a book on TTC girl and TTC boy which talked about the 7 sway factors in each scenario - good as all in one place.
How does GD theory differ to IG???

We don't have a book because what works for one person will not work for another.
I do hope to have the site more user friendly (although I personally found info terribly hard to find on IG) but I will NEVER have a one-size, fits-all sway - there's going to be some decisions that people have to make for themselves and it's hard to quantify that into book form. :)
I hope you stick around long enough to "get" the site, I think once you do, it all falls into place.

I find it MUCH easier to navigate, personally...
And I agree...I do hope you stick around a while, Pink10!! The ladies here are so helpful and supportive!!

I'd also like to say that I've been a Premium Member since the beginning and the site has not been down (without notification). Any problems with usage have been addressed immediately. I really appreciate that.
p.s. Welcome to all the new members! I hope you like it here!

Thanks Atomic, I was being a little sarcastic with that comment. Lol. I thought about it almost 2 yrs ago when she ripped me off but couldn't be bothered. I was just so happy to have found this place that I wrote off the $12 and didn't bother going back there again.
There's just no comparison between the two site. This place rocks!
