Skull theory guesses?

I never got a 12 week ultrasound. My friend said you might be able to tell by the skull. If not that is fine I will just have to wait till March :)

I read that position of placenta can tell 99% if it's a boy or a girl.
Boy - placenta right side of uterus and Girl - placenta left side of uterus.
