I just want to help those who are ttc a boy. I know all to well about conceiving boys cause i have 6 of them and ONLY boys. I really think the key is to EAT load up on those calories Never to go hungry! i ate sausage, fried chicken, cheeseburgers, steak, french fries, lots of Kraft blocked cheese, can corn at dinner every night, chips, bananas, spaghetti with meat sauce, lasagna, cereal like corn flakes, honey bunches of oats. fast food McDonald's,Burger king Whopper's, KFC, Taco Bell. SNACK! I did drink LOTS of Liptons citrus Green Tea when i conceived 2 of my boys. I got pregnant with my 6th son like 10 hours after the + OPK. i also did lay with a pillow under me for like 30 min after BD and fall a sleep LOL. With boys 4&5 me and my Husband BD side ways and SORRY TMI TMI TMI after we finished He fall a sleep with his (man part) still in me i also fall a sleep lol. I woke up a few hours later He was still in me LOL. I was taking calcium, magnesium, cranberry pills. Drinking TONS Ocean Spray cranberry juice. I really think those things ADDS NUTRIENTS and actually sway boy also yogurt too actually, i ate lots of the vanilla flavored kind! I also ate whatever whenever in the 2ww. My diet was pretty heavy, very hearty meals. I never went hungry. I often went for seconds each meal. So I hope this is helpful for you all if you ever need advice please feel free to contact me and here is ALLLLLL my BLUE DUST It is all yours Ladies GOOD LUCK :xy:

Thanks hun for your advice. I'm pretty sure I'm pregnant with my fourth boy but I did try to limit my calories and nutrients before getting pregant. Will see how we've gone in about 8.5 months.

I only have 2 boys but I cant tell you my diet is the exact same as yours. If I was to concieve again I just KNOW it would be another boy having a diet rich in everything!!! Next time I will most def change my diet. Oh and my second ds was concieved 10 hrs after ovulation aswell and my poor d/h did VERY fr he struggled to finish our one time bd... So next time I am going to do the diet very strict!

Well I only have two boys so who knows!! I'm naturally thin and I actually eat exceedingly healthy. I'm a vegetarian and eat really only healthy fats (olive oil, nuts, avocados, flax, etc). I never eat fast food but I do eat a lot of calories every day (whole, unprocessed grains, legumes, some cheese, Greek yogurt, nuts, homemade granola, lots of kale and dark leafy greens, lots of apples and berries, soy beans, green tea, one cup coffee daily, etc). I also run 5 miles 5-6 times a week and take immune enhancing supplements (Vit D, olive leaf, Vit C, CoQ10, and fish oil).
I think the key to why I sway boy is 3 things: 1.) All of my healthy foods/supps are telling my body "times are good", 2.) even though I exercise most days, it's never overly intense so again promotes "times are good", and 3.) I do eat a lot of calories and NEVER let myself go hungry!!
Hope that helps. I just hear some of you complaining about how crappy you feel trying to eat all of the HE foods and I just want you to know it doesn't have to be all fatty, rich foods. I think as long as you're getting fats (they can be good fats!), lots of calories (they can be healthy, "lighter" calories!), and never letting yourself get hungry (seriously, snack the second you feel a rumble! :-), you're good! Obviously following AS's fat/protein/calorie guides too!!

Great info!! Thanks for sharing!!
I don't feel crappy because I am eating fatty rich foods, I am just sick of eating!! I eat fairly healthy when not on the HE diet but I love sugar and chocolate and I just don't eat a lot of food.
I am not thin, not fat either but my body just doesn't need a lot of food to operate. I do struggle to keep my weight down, when not swaying always trying to lose weight in one way or another.
Weird enough, I like feeling hungry! Can't explain why, I just do....but then again, i have 3 girls so....
Thanks again for the info, super helpful!

I hope that by simply doing the opposite of what you have done to get boys will get you a little girl!!!

Adia, thanks for sharing - I have had phases where I was eating very little and I also liked feeling hungry. I never got pg during any of those times except the last one, and that was when I got my little girl, of course.

I have to say the times I starved my self and really cut back the amount of food I ate And was doing strict cardio like running 2miles like 3-4times in a week and I was a cranberry juice fanatic drank it like no tomorrow .. Was when I conceived my DD.. Now I'm trying to do the opposite surprisingly I'm enjoying this He diet I'm getting a wide range of food in its more colouful and more exciting compared to what I was munching before lol.. It's just trying to not be hungry bit of a challenge!

Hi all, I just wanted to say thanks for this info. I'm ttc in December, swaying blue and I am SO full, I hate it!! I never let myself get hungry and I can feel the lbs stacking up with every mouthful lol! Adia - I quite like feeling hungry too!
I have a dd and, when I conceived, my diet was pretty much the opposite to 6Bluewant1pink. Long periods of not eating, never ate breakfast, carbs heaving, very low in protein, lots of sugary snacks - and always dehydrated!!
Good luck to all that are swaying :) x

Have two boys.
With Ds1, I conceived 3 months after getting married. Leading up to the wedding, I lost loads of weight, thinnest I've ever been. As soon as I got married, I went back to my normal eating - love cereal, love snacking, love oily fish, chocolate. Never went hungry and if I did get hungry, I ate straight away. I hate feeling hungry. I am a real foody, I love eating.
Same with Ds2, although this time I had the benefit of finishing off ds1's meals as my 'snacks'. Being at home meant I definitely snacked a lot more.
Never really did regular exercise. 5ft1, and about 8 or 9 stone.
Since swaying girl, I've amazed myself with (a) how much less protein I'm eating (b) that I can cope with a rumbling tummy!

That must explain my boys in some regards. I don't know how I am ever going to do the opposite! Swaying for a boy seems WAY easier and more fun ;)

I think girl swaying is easier and fun. I am sick of having to remember to eat all the time and feeling full all the time. I love just jumping up and going for the day. I hate having to stop and eat breakfast. I love the hungry and rumbling tummy feeling. Eating HE makes me feel fat even though I am losing weight very slowly from the exercise and healthy diet, I just feel fat from always eating!

I'm actually quite enjoying my light LE diet and like the rumbling tummy feeling. But feel that I am so much gassier (sorry tmi) than before as I am too hungry before I eat and my stomach naturally produce lots of acid so result in me being gassy. I hope my body gets used to the lack of food and not be so gassy!

I completely agree! I feel vain to be so worried about it but I've always ate a lower calorie/fat diet and ran often. I am doing my best to eat all nonprocessed food and make healthy choices but I still feel like I'm always eating. I think my blood sugar lowers quickly because I am always hungry and if I don't eat I get shaky. I will say I love the idea of this diet and want to continue a modified version after I conceive.

I've always been naturally thin and very petite. I've never been on a diet, tried to loose weight or felt hungry.
Both boys I was about 98 lbs but I remember always eating as much as I wanted because I could and didn't have to worry about gaining weight.
After I hit 24 (4 years after my ds2 was born) I finally began to gain weight. In just a year I hit 115 lbs and went from the size 0 I was to a size 5. I've truly enjoyed the weight gain ( I have boobs and a butt now).
I hoping that dieting for the first time will help me sway pink!

At the top of this page in the stickies there is a thread called "how we got our boys" and any boy moms who are so motivated, if you post in that thread it's been really helpful. There is also a "how we got our girls" thread in the TTC girl forum for pink mamas. Thanks so much everyone for your input!!!

This is strange , with my ds1 & ds2 my diet was McDonald's , Chinese food, pizzas, chips , chocolate, crisps , currys basically anything unhealthy and I fell pregnant this time after being on a shake diet for 3 months , the calorie intake was dramatically reduced and I had a shake morning shake afternoon with a very healthy well balanced meal at night and lots of water and been told I'm having another boy ?

I would think popcorn is good to eat. I ate Doritos and ruffles cheddar& sour cream chips when I conceived some of my boys.
