OK...SO i posted my ultrasound under "Please please...12w 3d nub guesses"....I got 100% girl guesses however I am confused why the doc was so unsure...She believes in the nub theory and predicted my other son at 13 weeks but just wasnt sure this time. She said she has been going by the nub theory for 8 years and has never been wrong and is a high risk OB but she is not my real doctor. She is a friend. My real doctor's sonographer would not even comment on gender before 20 weeks. I am knew to the nub theory so I guess I am wondering if it has even the slightest angle at 12 weeks could it still pop up? I also took an intelligender test today which was correct with my last son. It said boy.... so now I have lost even more hope. My husband thinks I am crazy and I agree but I am torturing myself! I have three boys and just wold love the experience of having a daughter even though in the long run I just want a healthy baby. I guess I just needed to vent because even my best friend thinks I have gone over board with nub theories and pee tests :) Does anyone have any words of wisdom for me or opinions. I am so glad I found this site because most people are going through the similar desire and understand

I would say it looks like a girl nub. I'm no expert but that's what I think. Also, don't get too disheartened by intelligender test, these things have a 50/50 chance of being right, it might have said your sons gender was right but you could have asked any random person on the street to guess and you wouldn't think the ones that got it right had some sort of special power! I found this article IntelliGender Gender Prediction Test as accurate as a coin toss, doctors say - DailyFinance (http://m.aol.com/dailyfinance/default/articleStory.do?category=main&url=http://www.dailyfinance.com/2010/05/12/intelligender-gender-prediction-test-just-as-accurate-as-a-coin/&icid=dsk_df_news)
Which might be worth a read! Think positive :)

Looks girly to me, both nub and skull.

At 12 weeks it could rise, BUT it looks very girly so I do think you have a pretty good chance at pink this time around. There isn't anything you can do about it either way so it isn't worth stressing yourself out about (I know, easier said than done, but it is true). Hang in there!

I truly think that's a girl. It's long and forked at the end. And if there is any angle it's angling down not up

At the time she said it had a slight angle up...she also said she didn't pay attention to forks so maybe its the fork she saw that gave tip an upward angle? And maybe intelligender is just straight bs :-) a little hope has been restored. These darn hormones man LOL

I am not very good but I thought girl straightaway. I think if she is your friend she thought girl but didn't want to say just in case. I really wouldn't lose hope - I would be mega happy to see a nub like that although must admit would stress at same time - same as you!!! Everyone on here understands exactly how you're feeling - so hope this is your little pink bean

I just started following the nub theory and from all of the girl and boy pics i've looked at so far, yours looks very much like a girl. No idea if the nub can angle later on, however.

I agree if it was your friend doing the scan she would want to be 100% sure and not get your hopes up for a girl just yet, but it does look very girly to me.

Intelligender is crap. On a forum I belongs to when preggo with DS2 - almost all of us did intelligender and it was less than 50% accurate. I wouldn't count on those results at all.

uugh i was so not going to even give into the intelligender gimick this time...i figured why spend $30 bucks if I am not going to trust result either way...I probably would still be just as skeptical if it said girl...but it was right for my last son and I guess I just got so anxious I caved lol.....I fell into their marketing ploy lol

Hi I'm new to the site, and just wanted to tell you the ingender pee test's are always rigged to say boy. I had three girl friends all take one and they all said boy but they all ended up with girls. and of course I had a couple friends take it and it said boy and they got boy's but it's a coinsidence that they ended up with boy's so really do not take the ingender pee thing to heart I think they are a rip off and a scam.
