you ladies are all AMAZING!! For putting in the effort of writing all this information out!!! Xx thank you so much!

One question did your DHs release in you in only in the month you conceived your DS or prior to that too?

My husband always has released in me except for the few days of the month when I'm fertile. Then he pulls out.

Mine always released in me for entire month. We did it every 2nd or third day. I had no idea when o was with my boys, didn't temp or know about cycles much at all!!!

As I've been reading through some swaying information, I think my eating habits are definitely fitting for boy sway. I munch throughout the day, I always eat breakfast. In fact, it's my favorite meal to eat. I am constantly having to force myself to remember that I get enough calcium because I am not a fan of dairy. I actually developed pains in my knees resulting from a calcium deficiency. When I got pregnant with both sons, I made sure to drink the Lactaid Fat Free Milk once or twice a day, but with Nesquik to mask the milk taste. I never ate yogurt, tried it for the first time a few months ago and actually fell in love with it, which is a good thing for a girl sway! Also I never ate or drank anything with artificial sugar, always made a point to stay away from diet or fat free things except for my milk.

With my first son and same goes for the second, I was always thin. I am 5"7. With my first son, I ate crap, nothing really nutritious and not a lot. I was weighing around 125lbs before I got pregnant. Gained about 50lbs with him. I spent about a year and half losing all the weight and lost all 50lbs by the time I got pregnant again with DS#2. So I'm a little iffy about the whole weight loss aspect in the difference between conceiving girls versus boys. But to be fair, I was incorporating weight lifting with cardio with second DS.

As for timing, I believe both boys were conceived a day before ovulation. Hope that helps anyone needing some blue dust :-)

Thank you for post! I am 5'7 and I am comfortable around 125. Now I am around 134 with 3 months on the HE diet and I can really feel the extra pounds. I am glad to hear you were around the same height/weight. I am also doing cardio and weights now so I am hoping that helps my sway. I was thinking of getting back below 130 if I dont see the BFP next month just so I feel better with the weight thing!

When I conceived my DS, I had only just started ttc (we got bfp on our first cycle ttc!) and had come off bc pill two months before. My OBGYN told me that the fastest way to conceive was to DTD every other day, so that was what we did. We weren't swaying either way, this being our first, and I had never noticed any EWCM and didn't chart or test, so I don't know what we did in terms of timing.

As for diet, I always ate breakfast, usually instant oatmeal or cereal with skim milk, and had lots of snacks (cookies, peanut butter on crackers, fruit), especially around 4pm. I usually had a sandwich or leftovers for lunch and some kind of poultry, pizza/pasta, or ethnic restaurant food for dinner. I ate lots of whole grains, and not a great deal of vegetables. When I conceived, I was at my highest-ever weight (138lbs, where normal for me is 129-133) and we had just gone on a mini holiday so I'm sure we ate out a lot.

DH didn't do anything special, but for the record he does wear briefs. On most BD nights I made a point of O'ing 5-10 min after DTD because I read somewhere that increased the chances of conceiving. Position was likely spooning on our sides, but I won't swear to it since I don't know which night resulted in the bfp.

Looking back, my diet, weight gain, O after BD, and frequency of BD were all swaying blue. This time I'll do the opposite. Good luck, blue swayers!

My unintentional blue sway was:
- started eating breakfast (sultana bran flakes & soya milk) every day.
- sanatogen mother to be tabs 1 month before ttc and throughout pregnancy
- calcium & magnesium tabs 1 month before ttc and throughout pregnancy
- I am/ was a big meat eater (chicken, pork, lamb, beef you name it)
- I was addicted to salt and added it to pretty much everything
- I ate raw tomatoes and bananas pretty much daily.
- bd every other day from af to o (by my dates I had a 2 day cut off but by the scan dates we had no cut off). I wasn't charting.
- loads of ewcm (sorry tmi) ;)
Hmm can't think of anything else, but I do see how it is little wonder that I got my blue bear! He is perfect and I wouldn't change him for the world, I just hope he gets to have a little sister!
Wishing all the ladies ttc blue the best of luck and sending you my blue dust! Please send me some pink back... ;) x x x

Hi,
I am vegetarian (have been since I was 5yrs old!) and I have two boys.
I eat a lot of carbs (pasta, potatoes, pizza, rice etc). I had an apple every day plus other fruit and veg. Not regular exercise and only small amounts when did. Always remained same weight. Lots of chocolate and love mlk. Ate lots of cereal, sometimes for dinner if I didn't have breakfast. Breakfast usually only on the weekends. Not much alcohol. Eat dinner around 7pm. BD all through O once I had a positive OPK. DH eats the same as me, but does eat meat - not a lot, but we clearly have a boy diet, lol! He wears briefs, sparadic exercise - although he used to play football twice a week. Never been into sweetener or fizzy drinks. Also, I (honestly speaking) 'wear the trousers' in my house and am pretty bossy ad usually get my own way, so plenty of 'T' If I think of anything else, I will add. HTH!

- never on a diet
On the LE diet now, my body is in shock... Good luck

lots of salt, red meats, always ate breakfast before work
hated milk and yoghurt - never touched either one only a tiny splash of milk in my tea
never ever drank coffee - i never touched it until i was pregnant with my 5th son
hubby was a smoker until our last boy was born and has been smoke free for the past 2 years, he was always a big coffee
drinker. average weight but had put on quite a bit when we conceived our last son which he has now lost.
with #2 i drank lots of green tea. i always had lots of ewcm with all boys bd every day sometime twice a day woth ds1 and pretty much every day with the rest.
hubby always wore loose fitting boxers
with #1 i worked reception so i constantly snacked on lollies at my desk
my third pregnancy was a failed sway which ended in twin boys
fourth pregnancy we didnt sway at all big surprise for us and fifth pregnancy was another failed sway which included aci jel, lime, cran, cal and mag. never did the diet and hubby smoked etc

fingers crossed this time is not another failed sway - things have changed dramatically since we were ttc our boys

I ate breakfast every day without fail-usually a large bowl of porridge with honey or vit enriched cereal. Always had three mmeals a day, red meat usually every meal for lunch and dinner. Took prenatal vitamins three months before ttc and for the 8 months we were ttc. HUbby worked away during the week so just bd through weekends and paid no attention to dates/times/temps etc. Very unstressed lifestyle, not much exercise, not massively overweight but towards top end of healthy bmi. Always had brown or wholewheat grains and no sweetener.
Hope this helps someone :)

Hi

I have 2 boys and with both of them I took pre-Natal multis about 6 months before ttc, I temped and obsessively charted and used opk. Close to O time we always dtd every night for about 4 nights and through O..

I didn't exercise. Hubby wears undies in the day but boxers at night. With ds1 he was working in 50 deg temps and ds2 was conceived in an Aussie winter... Hubby still in a stressful job but not outdoors....

I petite and have a mega fast metabolism. I eat anything and everything when and how and struggle to put weigh on.

That's about all I can think of. Good luck in your boy journeys!! My blue dust is all yours!!!!!

I am ttc a girl after two wonderful boys. I am a very healthy eater and we would regularly have oatmeal and other whole grains, lots of green veggies (all kinds of fruit and veggies, really), and with a farm of our own, meat is frequently eaten at dinner. Lots of meals with tomatoes, not afraid of salt, although I wouldn't consider it heavy. Mostly water, but juice in the morning and a couple cups of coffee. Never soda. My first son was conceived the day of ovulation, although DS2 was not quite as planned. I'd say 3 days prior to ovulation for him. I was a fit 145 lbs (I'm 5 ft 8), and very strong. My general fitness schedule was moderate--3-4 times a week (running/biking) for 30-45 minutes at a time. Both my husband and I are rather muscular, and although we don't weight train at a gym, there is a fair amount of lifting of rocks, wood, dirt and animals in our lifestyle. With some excess hair in places I don't like, I've always assumed I carry around more testosterone than the average woman, but I don't know if that is true.

Thanks, thehappypixi! It is a good life, and sometimes I feel selfish to want more (i.e. a daughter). I think that I'll be happy no matter what, although I might have to remind myself of how good I've got it in case ttc doesn't work. :)

my unintentional boy sway was like this: i was super healthy, loaded up on vitamins, a couple pounds over my usual weight, didn't eat much dairy, and had my hubby loaded up on vitamins too. especially zinc! i think that helped for boy. he is also an avid hot tubber and coffee drinker and i made him stop both of those things. now for number two i'll let him at it! coffee and hot water all around!

I love meat. I have red meat at least 2x a week and chicken other times. With both boys I did lose weight before I got pregnant but was on the blood type diet, so for me it was low starch, meat and veg with some fruit. Drink coffee very occasionally. LOVE salty snacks. I'm a grazer and grazed on dried fruit / walnuts throughout the day. Had green tea and soda water. Drank pineapple juice or grape fruit juice. Also drank cranberry though.

I also use juniper, cypress and ylang ylang massage oils. I didn't even know all these things sway boys.

This is my typical diet

Breakfast- Essen bread toasted with roast beef and mustard or toasted and spread with tahini and maple syrup
Green tea or tea

Lunch- chicken salad with or black eyed peas or just roast chicken

Dinner- kangaroo or roast chicken or steak with some veg (not much veg)

I don't usually have late night snacks.

I had a perfect (except for Shettles timing) boy sway and had no idea. I was Crossfitting, which means high intensity weight training, cardio and anaerobic exercises performed at an aerobic pace. The crossfit endorsed diet is paleo, which is lean meats (hell, even some fatty ones,) vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds. No sugar, no wheat, corn, or potatoes. I would highly recommend all boy swayers join a crossfit gym. You'll get all the support in the world for a boy sway without ever having to tell anyone you're swaying!

Also, my salt intake was off the charts. I not only salted all my food while cooking, I salted each individual bite after that. I ate a banana every morning for breakfast, lots of eggs and high protein diet. Tons of EWCM, no jump and dump, put in a Diva cup after BD, BD every day until 2 1/2 days before O, then DTD twice that day (on 2 1/2 days before O,) only took a prenatal for supps. I REALLY wanted a girl too! Hope my mistakes can help someone else!

Oh, also no alcohol, caffeine every morning, then went wine tasting on implantation weekend (supposedly alcohol consumption helps implantation?) Have no idea what moon and biorhthyms were at the time, but I know Chinese gender said girl...HA!

After reading all these I'm not surprised I have two little men!!! :)

I worked in a male dominated competitive environment (sports coach), constantly striving for results.
Can have a lot of CM around ovulation.

DS1 - we didn't sway, unexpected but welcomed pregnancy. We DTD New Year's Eve, lots of alcohol involved ;) various positions, can't remember about O.
I never ate breakfast, drank lots of water, tea and diet coke. I would eat a sandwich for lunch, cheese, cheese and ham, chicken, all on wholemeal bread also loved them with mayo! Dinner would be meat, vegetables ( two or three different types) and potatoes, would have red meat 1-2 times a week (DH loved lasagne). I never added salt to my cooking but would to my food. Loved takeaway pizza. If I were hungry between meals then I would have some fruit, love bananas. I cooked all home meals, used whole meal everything, no sweeteners, olive oil for cooking. My weight remained constant.

Gave up caffeine after DS1 arrived.

DS2 failed girl sway. Very rough sway, I took the girl supplements, cranberry, calcium, magnesium, saw palmetto, vitex, baby aspirin. No antihistamines to dry CM, so that was still present, didn't change diet at all so was still protein, calorie and nutrient dense, still drank wine regularly. We were actively trying to fall pregnant, the month I conceived we DTD up to and through Ovulation, no O, position was spoons (sorry tmi).

Hope all this helps

I was such a total accidental boy swayer...

With ds1, I had come off work for about 10 weeks. I was eating anything and everything all day and into the night. I usually stayed fairly stable with my weight but with being at home all day and eating all the time I put on a little weight - maybe only a few kgs. We dtd twice a few days apart right around ovulation and every few days before that. I took pre natals etc cos I was planning.

With ds2 I had dieted to lose all the baby weight, managed to get 30kgs off and when I got to goal weight I resumed my normal way of eating. Full meat/fat/salt/sugar anything and everything.. And put on 6kgs (slowly). That's when I started eating herbal super foods and vitamins etc. then I fell pregnant with a stuffed up frequent release.. Panicked and dtd 7 days in a row, then missed 2 days and had 2 more attempts about 12 hours apart.

This time I have done soooooo much different.. So fxd this is my girl... ;)

I didn't sway on purpose but I got two boys with these habits:

-High-nutrient diet of peanut, almond or cashew butter on ry-krisps, vegetable juice, hard-boiled eggs, lots of fruit (including bananas and a grapefruit every day), full-fat yogurt with milled flax seed, salads of avocado, black beans, salsa, and hot sauce, chicken salad and salmon salad, lots of vegetables (often sweet potatoes with butter and leafy greens), tomatoes with salt, and 6 oz of meat/chicken/fish at most dinners, wine and light beer, coffee, green tea, prenatals, baby aspirin, fish oil, vitamin c w/cranberry (I know now it sways pink but I was taking it for urinary health at the time) and I also sometimes ate a little pure rock salt (I have very low blood pressure).

-Body weight at conception: I'm 5'5" and weighed 135 lbs with DS1, 123 lbs with DS 2

-With both did about an hour of walking every day, an hour of cardio most days, lifted weights 3x per week, took abs classes

-Conceived about 5 days before ovulation w/DS1 (yes, it can happen) and at ovulation w/DS2

-DH took vitamins and wore boxer shorts

At the time I was just trying to be healthy but now I know my lifestyle was a boy sway!

Hey,
I had two boys without swaying. I concieved both of them on my ovulation day in the winter. It was cold (and dry) so we had our heat on. My diet included salty food, baked french fries and chicken bites, doritos, potato chips, grilled cheese (with tomato), ranch, red meat, potatoes, tomatoes, very little milk (I am lactose intolerant), soy milk, bananas, orange and apple juice, occasional coffee with sugar, Dr. Pepper, and chocolate. I usually ate breakfast, especially on the weekends which was pancakes, bacon, biscuits, eggs ect. I am normal weight and althought my diet wasnt the healthiest I did not eat alot. We had late dinners because of my job. I was active but did not exercise regularly. I am a night owl and not a morning person. I took prenatal pills before and while I tried to conceive. I also took Benadryl for allergies. I had lots of CVM and always O'd when BD. With our first son we BD three times one day before, on, and after my O date. I don't think I had chance to conceive a girl! Im so glad I found this site to help me TTC a girl. Hope my post helos someone! :)

Just thought I'd add my 'unaware boy sway' to the thread. lol.
We conceived our son after I began to slowly gain weight after having just lost 35kg... I tend to go on crazy strict diets for months and then come off them and go crazy for about a month of eating whatever I want (DS was conceived during my crazy eating month) I would eat lots of food, constant snacking, mostly take-out (cheeseburgers), foods HIGH in salt and lots of added salt, ALWAYS ALWAYS ate breakfast and I would have tomatoes in just about every meal, rarely ever any dairy except cheese - lots of fatty cheese. Caffeine only from soft drink, ate huge amounts of fruit and veges, LOTS of bananas.
It was also a REALLY stressful time for me and I wasn't sleeping a lot and was drinking huge amounts.
DH is a big junk food eater, lots of bananas, pasta. From memory at the time he was also eating ALOT of tuna.

I ate anything I wanted but most of it healthy. I was a big taco ell fan a few months before and then I ate a load of cafeteria food which never was good for you. Lots of turkey sandwiches with avocado and mayo and tomatoes. I ate an avocado or two a week maybe more. With a spoon and salt haha! Breakfast burritos with eggs and sausage nearly 5 days a week. I love tomatoes. Eat them raw on everything tomatoes can go on. I never eat white anything. not a big sugar eater. but i ate icecream and chocolate. high fat sugary things. big appetite. I've always made food a priority $ wise. I was probably 30# heavier which included a lot of new muscle from a grunt job I had. Lifting boxes and running with them for 8 hours. I was the only girl on the team. Ive never been a eed meat lover of any kind but i eat it when its offered or my ex wanted it. so nearly every day. Drank and smoked though. (Ive quit now for 6 years)
I just started swaying pink. It goes against every fiber of me but I'm committed. I see tomatoes and avocados and big glasses of kale and spinach juice and miss it. I need to make some hummus today.. Without salt:/

DH were eating a large serving of red meat with potato's and big serve of veggies every day! DH loves anything packed with cals for beverages and it addiceted to V's at the time of 2, heaps of strong coffee, loved B vitamin barocca drink every day! Honestly not big on salt but love take out once a week and probably ate all lot of canned goodies fruits and so forth. Pretty un healthy hah! Oh I am personally allergic to any white meat so no fish or chicken either and can't eat 90% of the fruits :( As the acidic builts up and I get ulsers and ther are down right painful!!! Yay me! I tried the IG diet with ds2 and couldn't stick to it! pasta and milk was all I could eat! :( I was starving for something with nutrience and would binge every few days because I felt like passing out! Ohh and DH loves soy sauce a lot and chilli!! Bedding was prety much O day, except for ds2 was a 3 day cut off and angel baby a 5 day! I have always had lots of ewcm around O!

With my first son and second son I basically ate whatever I wanted and that included lots of meat, pizza, fast food, etc. I also love cereal with milk and would have that almost every morning for breakfast and also alot of times for "dessert". I have PCOS so do not have a normal cycle and get EWCM often, I think because of too much estrogen. I had to take clomid to ovulate with them both. With number 3 I was trying to lose weight and eat healthier but that included eating often and lots of produce and still plenty of meat. I was taking lots of supplements and had just bought a vitamix so had plenty of green smoothies, etc. Oh, also, almost always had Big O

I posted in this thread before about what I did generally to inadvertently sway blue, but I recently stumbled on my food diary of exactly what I was eating and what supps I was taking when we were TTC #2.

I was on a diet to treat Adrenal Fatigue which is almost exactly the same as the HE diet Atomic recommends. I had to eat within 30 minutes of waking up, then every 2 hours until 2pm, then two more meals before going to bed early and getting 10-12 hours of sleep.

Here's a sample day-
Breakfast: 2 eggs scrambled in butter or coconut oil
Lunch: A huge salad with leaf lettuce, tomatoes, bell peppers, Parmesan cheese, with Olive Oil and vinegar applied very liberally as the dressing, Organic V8-type drink
Afternoon Snack: More tomatoes and bell peppers, zucchini dipped in hummus
Dinner: Soft shell taco with brown rice, beans, ground beef, and cheddar cheese
Bedtime Snack: A full cup of plain whole milk yogurt with a tsp of maple syrup in it.

I was drinking tons and tons of water straight from our well, very high in minerals. I often added lemon juice or ACV to it because I liked the taste.

Supplements:
1 tsp sea salt in 8oz water twice a day
Prenatal vitamin - New Chapter Perfect Prenatal whole foods organic vitamins
Cod liver oil
B-vitamin complex
Hema-Plex (Iron supp with tons of extra B-vits)
B-12 megadose
Folic Acid (daily total was 4000-5000mcg when we conceived)
Vit E megadose
Mag/Cal/D (200% RDA Mag, 40% RDA Cal, 50% RDA Vit D)

This is just what I did at the time. Atomic doesn't recommend the megadoses of vitamins and I really don't think most people need them. I was in a unique situation health-wise and they helped me, but I probably could have taken way less and still gotten a boy.

When i conceived my boys i was always eating and snacking a lot. Could eat all day, was addicted to dairy (no milk, yoghurt 1,5% fat with cereals, yummie!)

I think my bloodsugar never dropped because then i felt cranky and ate something. I think i was addicted to carbs, LOL.

We bd twice a week i think.

Few caffeinated drinks, drank herbal tea, water and fruit juice.
Loved to drink wine, but was bf-ing my first while conceiving my ds2. Lost almost all the pregnancy weight by then but my bmi was around 25.

I excersiced moderately, horse riding 1-3 times a week with my first, no exercise with my second. Cycling 20 minutes four times a week to and from the railway station (not as an exercise) with both my boys.

Without exercising and with a little overweight i was still masculine, have quite a lot of body hair (not really too much but i can use some less IYKWIM) and i get pimples real soon (although i think that was because of my eating habits which off course could have raised testosterone). I ate meet twice a day (on whole wheat bread and during diner), never had a vegetarian day and i looooovvveeee eggs!

So GL keeping your bloodsugar stable and raising T, i'll bet that's the key for conceiving blue!

Hi girls, I'm new here, I've been reading you for some days and I think this site is awesome! I have two boys and now I no longer wonder why! I'm always eating, always snacking. I'm from Spain and we have a pretty healthy diet there. I always have breakfast with LOTS of cereal, sometimes I have them for dinner too. I usually drink two coffees a day, always put quite salt while cooking... I don't do any exercise...
I must add that I have PCOS, which I found out while ttc ds1. It took me 10 months to get pg, so the last two or three months we bd everyday around O. And for ds2 it was pretty much the same: same diet, same difficulties to get pg...
I can't think of anything else, if I do I'll let you know girls! And sorry for my English :worry:

Just thought I'd add my inadvertent boy "sway" in to the rest. Reading all the girl mom's lifestyles has been so helpful for me, so I'm happy to contribute to this fabulous forum in anyway I can.

I'm a fairly lean/petite build. I've always been pretty fortunate to be able to eat whatever I want and not gain a significant amount of weight and for most of my life I have done just that. I do eat (when not on my girls sway!) my fair share of unhealthy snacks, but for the most part I eat a fairly well balanced, healthy diet that is high in "good' calories. I had carefully planned conception (w/o swaying) of my son several months in advance, so I spent the months preceding his conception being as healthy as I could. My lifestyle was as follows:

Diet:
6 small meals a day (averaged 1800 to 2500 cals),
breakfast was usually egg whites and toast, 2 of the other meals usually contained cheese and/or protein bars, and then a large dinner w/ some kind of meat, seafood, and potato . We ate a lot of fortified grains including pasta noodles that were extra fortified, brown rice, quinoa, etc. My diet was extremely high in protein, pottassium, and sodium. I also drank A LOT of wine.

Exercise:
I exercised 3 to 4 times a week. about 30 min of cardio followed by 30 min of weight training.

Supplements:
I began taking folic acid w/ DHA 3 months prior to conception

Attempts:
We used Preseed, with no history of infertility. I am just a planner (typical boy mom!) and wanted to get preggo as fast as possible! - It seemed to work because I got pregnant our first month trying.
We planned a weekend away around my expected Ovulation and I O'd as planned. We BDed on o-3, 0-2, 0-1, O, and O+1, BIG O for me every time.

When I read this I realize that its no wonder I had a boy!

Hope this is helpful to some of you! Hope you get your baby Boys!

Hi guys,

I'm so amazed at all of the boy stories. I totally ooze "boy". I have 2 x DS's:

DS1: We had been married for about 3 months. I had lost a lot of weight for the wedding (BMI 18), but had started to gain over our 2 month honeymoon (up to BMI 21). Was under a lot of stress after a close family member had died. Always O'd. Was on the OCP, but forgot to take it twice due to stressful circumstance. Always very healthy diet. Lots of supps, moderate exercise - 3 days per week. Subtly competitive. I'm a natural worry wart. LOVE salt. Drank no coffee or caffeine, but am a herbal tea fanatic. Very sensitive to carbs. Always on a high protein diet. Completely avoided fizzy drinks, artificial sweeteners. Ate tonnes of veges, legumes, nuts, seeds, omega-3 oils.

DS-2 After gaining a ridiculous amount of weight with DS1, lost a heap of it on a high protein diet, was running 1 hr everyday, too lots of supps, green powders, was in a managerial role at work. Hate being hungry, always snacking on savoury health foods.

Other things, lots of boys in DH family. He's one of four boys, his sister has all boys, his brothers have boys and cousins are all boys. My Mother had 3 brothers. DH is super competitive, wears boxers, eats lots of meat and is on a computer 24/7

I'm naturally stocky, always working hard to keep weight down. Comfort eater when I'm stressed. Always EWCM++. Need lots of sleep. Always in bed by 10.

This is an awesome thread. Getting great ideas of what not to do to get a DD :-)

Hello, just thought i'd add to this thread. I also have 2 perfect boys who make my life worth living! I am a natural born boy swayer without trying. I am slim but have always eaten whatever i want. I enjoy savoury more than sweet foods and eat very little and often throughout the day. I'm not the biggest fan of red meat but started eating alot more of it since being married for some reason. I'm quite healthy by nature, do not like junk food, eat loads of fruits and vegetable with or after meals, drink orange juice, was having cereal or some form of breakfast during the time both DSs were conceived. DTD on O day or just after and O'd both times. Never use lube. Snack on foods right up until before it's time to sleep. Never use sweetners, always sugar. Love salt. Drink red wine especially as it has been my favourite. Am a natural born worrier, and very hormonal (ups and downs). I am a perfectionist, a pessimist and very organised by nature. I stress myself out over the little stuff. I don't excersie that much as i dont feel the need to but do light workouts from time to time. That's about it....quite typically textbook boy stuff i'd say!

Here comes my contribution:)
DS1: started to ear loads if red meat after I got married. Had yoghurt or cereal for breakfast. Mackrell on slice for lunch. Loved fat fish and took fishoil. It took me some time to get PG so I took B-vitamins and used cough syrup. Always big O when TTC, read simewhere it helpes get PG fast. Gained some weight after getting married. Excersie 2-3 times a week, cardio mostly. Dis not drink much coffe, but tea. BD often, every second day.
DS2: PG first month trying. Lost weight by breastfeeding DS1, weaned him off before TTC. Still same eating habits. Sødo lot of fresh fruit, not vegetables. Lots of dairy, was always drinking mill. Never liked soda or fizxy drinks

Hi Ladies, I only have one DS (ttc pink in the next few months) but thought I would add what I can remember from when I conceived DS.

About 6mths before conceiving him I had been quite ill and had operation so lost a lot of weight then (was at my lowest adult weight about bmi 20.5) but then after feeling well again after op I enjoyed being able to eat whatever I wanted and gained a lot of weight quite quickly lol...up to about bmi 25.5)

I never like eating breakfast much (this is easiest bit for me of ttc pink) but I used to force myself to eat a mullerlight mid-morning so I didn't get starving later on. Snacked a lot (crisps, sweets, tc), had big dinners with protein carbs and quite often a high fat sauce, with only few veggies.

sorry forgot to add although I didn't do OPK or really notice CM or anything my cycles were really regular at the time and I guessed at ovulation just from what CD I was on, and we BD 3-4days in a row around O, and I am sure at least 2 of those attempts I did not get up afterwards and slept with pillow under hips all night after BD....also I don't tend to have big O during BD but usually have O before BDing (sorry tmi)....sending everyone who would like blue all my blue dust!!....HTH

Hello,
Chiming in here as feel I should pay it forward - everyone is so helpful here!

I have 2 DS and one loss which was confirmed boy also.

Circumstances for all three have been quite different. Start by saying DH is one of 3 boys fwiw

DS1: just finished marathon training, so less running (1-2 pw), regular 2+/week yoga & competitive sport, Bodypump (weights) 2-3 pw. I was muscly and fit and lean! Rode to work every day (short 5km each way - did so until I was 31 weeks pregnant!)
Though it was a long time ago I remember eating breakfast every day (often multigrain toast topped with avocado and tomato, yoghurt and muesli); lunch was often leftovers or pasta with tuna / egg / beans and plenty of fresh veggies. I would snack on carrots, apples and almonds/seeds frequently through the day. Coffee as frequent pick-me-up. Ate lots of pasta (bacon and veg sauces, bolognese) and stirfries with meat, curries etc. Was trying a low GI approach to eating (and felt fantastic!) - involved frequent meals.
Highly stressful, competitive year: - competing for (and got!) long coveted promotion at work, studying as well as working, additional specialist training all just prior to conception.
Unsure about timing - plentiful EWCM, def big O during BD (always back in the day, sigh! ;p)

DS2: much less active - though had lost plenty of weight with DS1, and was realistically gaining steadily while weaning DS1 (though still petite). Incidental activity only. Walking daily, and baby wearing frequently (very muscly)
As DS1 was slow-gainer / failure to thrive our entire house was on a high healthy fat and high protein diet. Ate meat / veg protein sources most meals, plenty of cream, butter, oils added to wide variety of foods. Snacking every few hours.
Timed around O, again plenty EWCM, daily BD. Took a few months to conceive where DS1 was first time lucky.

DS3: was an oopsie, diet was clean eating, Weston Price style (meat / bone broths most days, eggs daily, soaked nuts, plenty of lard, coconut oil etc) ... Still no formal exercise, selling house, just interviewed and accepted new job (increased stress / competition), weight stable, less EWCM than usual, BD 2 - 3 days before O. He screened high risk at 1st trimester and MC after CVS.

I really believe my snacking (go the nut butters / seeds!), high fat/protein diet, general ambivalence to sweet foods along with competitive / project focused life has helped create our beautiful boy family. The pattern of exercise I am sure helped too. Good luck ladies!

Hi ladies, thought I would share how DH and I conceived our son. I was doing a basic IG pink sway, I was taking calcium and magnesium, pregnancy vitamins (which I think helped us get our beautiful little man). I was eating lots of yoghurt as I don't like milk. I was eating a lot of fruit and dried fruit. We BD'd the day before I got a positive ovulation test so had roughly a 2/3 day cutoff. We used Preseed (Another thing I think really swayed blue). It was winter so I had put on some winter weight and wasn't doing any exercise.

Hope this helps. Goodluck :)

Thought as I have spent many hours looking at ttc girl posts I should add how I concived my boy. It was on our honeymoon I had lost abit of weight before but always been slim so didn't have much to lose then ate whatever I wanted on hooks and after a few days of being on our honeymoon the condom split tmi!!!! Diet was pretty much everything I snack throughout the day but on fruit yoghurt etc not unhealthy food however always loved chocolate, always eat cereal or toast for breakfast, was eating a banana every day and was exercising 3 times a week, have the type of body that could get a six pack and looked quite tonned rather than skinny BMW was 18 when I feel pg, Dtd every 3 days roughly, and concieved my boy on day 11 of 28 day cycle. Good luck everyone I'm hoping for a girl so hope you all get your boys! Little boys are lovely :):)

Hi Ladies,

Thought I would add my two cent here too..since I can't seem to produce any girls. Boy three (failed sway) on the way in July.

DS1 conceived June 2009- jogged twice a week. Have been the same weight roughly since university. Ate breakfast every day...be it oats with fresh fruit or freshly squeezed fruit or vegetable juice. Home made veg soup and rye or wholemeal bread for lunch and dinner would be meat/ chicken or fish with a carb and veggies. Very much 3 meal a day with a fruit snack in between meals. DH wears boxers, also jogged once or twice a week and would have eaten two main meals a day with meat probably and always breakfast and oh a banana every day. DS was conceived bd every second day from CD 10 through to CD 18....classic boy timing apparently. I would also have been taking spiralina and probiotics and maybe also an omega oil supplement and DH would have been taking a zinc/ vit c supplement. DH has also maintained same weight since university.

DS 2 conceived also early June 2011- exercise would have been tennis once a week and jogging once a week. DH same. Diet same as above (had no idea about swaying of that diet influences). Timing was also same..every second day over fertile period. Always had ewcm. We enjoy a few drinks on a fri and sat night but other than that no alcohol and DH enjoys the odd cigarette with his beer or glass of wine. My weight was probably a kilo or two away from weight pre kids.

DS 3- conceived oct 2012. Doing LE diet since July and IG diet since March. As of july stopped jogging but continued pilates once a week. Got down to pre pregnancy weight in 2009 of 47 kilos. DH reduced meat intake and took LR and cranberry and cal/ mag. But continued wearing boxers and did little exercise due to a knee injury. We did fr for 6 days before first attempt and then bd every night through o. Was sure this was a girl, but no another boy. Also worth noting I didn't fill anyone apart form DH about my swaying but then was home with my family in oct and filled in my mum and sister and my mum did say that whatever I was doing I looked awful, so I definitely changed things but obviously between DHs sperm and me we are destined to just create boys!

Sending you girls all my blue dust! The very best of luck and I hope you get your boys.

I love the girl version of this (i am swaying for pink) but I thought I would add how I got my two awesome little boys. Both my boys were conceived in winter. At the time I was gaining weight and eating lots of holiday meals. I was not working out and we were BD every single day leading up to O, during O and after O! Diet was lots of meat, potatoes, etc and I always ate a big breakfast. I was drinking lots of coffee throughout the day and was drinking beer in the evenings. I was taking folic acid and prenatals. My husband was also gaining weight during these times and he was not on any vitamins.

Before I add how I got my boys I just wondered
You know how there are stats about how many of one gender you have making it more likely or less likely to get the same etc. Well when counting the 'coin flips', do you include step children or just yours and your partners children? DP had 6 sons to three different Women and the last three are ours. Also I have 3 sons but in terms of swaying I suppose it would be right to say I technically have 2 since the twins are identical cos the egg splits after conception

I swayed for a boy unintentionally with my DS. I ate a lot of protein and a lot of salty foods. I always ate breakfast. Drank a lot of fizzy drink and snacked quite often. Wasn't overweight, but was at my heaviest I've been for a while. Took prenatal vitamins and folic acid. BD every second day and always had a lot of CM.

I love this thread and since reading a lot of the girl post I figured I'd add how I got my boys.

DS1 was a honeymoon baby. I always have been a healthy eater and almost snacking having 3-5 small meals a day consisting of protein, fruit, yogurt and veggies. We didn't sway with him and I was shocked that I had gotten pregnant so quick. I am also a huge stresser by nature. I had started to gain weight also right after getting married after being strict for so long. Would always O before or during DTD. Took prenatal vitamins 3 months before getting pregnant.

DS2 due in August was a surprise though we were trying for 6 months for him but period had been all crazy and I was stressing from this. I ate the same (very paelo diet) and was exercising 3-4x a week running/walking 1+ hour. Took prenatal vitamins before conceiving (almost never stopped after DS1). Also always ate breakfast with both DS1 and DS2.

I didn't know about swaying until after finding out DS2 was a boy and we will try once more for a DD.

Good luck to everyone wishing for a boy! They are amazing.

Well, here's the thing. While I don't think coin flips are good analogies to gender ratio, that's not really how coin flips would work anyway. IF (big if) gender DID work like a coin flip, your odds of having another boy don't change at all even if you have had 10 in a row. It would still be a 50-50 chance.

Now in the real world, if you were watching someone flip a coin 10 times in a row, then 20, then 30, and it kept coming up heads every time, at some point you would be sensible to begin to bet on tails. Not because the odds themselves change from 50-50, but because the likelihood that you would have such a long chain in a row is so unlikely. It's not that the odds of 50-50 ever really change, but it's that the odds of 10 in a row are low. I just want you to understand that IF the coin flip analogy is true, your odds of a girl after 6 boys are still going to be 50-50. The overall odds of Joe and Jo-jo Blow, random citizens, having 6 kids that are all boys, is NOT 50-50, but that doesn't change YOUR odds.

NOW, if it's not a coin flip, then YES, your odds may very well change over time even if you do nothing. If you look at the Duggars, they had a long run of boys and then a long run of girls (more than most people have children at all) without swaying. Their biology just changed. And I promise, if we kept having kids, we'd eventually get opposites as well without swaying, just look at this family OMG Meet The Arndt Family (2010) - FamTeam.com (http://www.famteam.com/meet/) The reason we sway is that most of us don't want to have to "Duggar it out", we want that opposite NOW!!

Love the pink thread on this and now sharing my blue story! Have 2DS and did not sway for either of them. I love salt and soy sauce (my mom was always nagging me about using soy sauce to season my meals), meat (all meats and deli meats - what's a meal without meat?!), potatoes, chocolate and pastries and pasta. I almost always eat breakfast and eat full meals each day. Love all my veggies too, the greener the better (that sways blue?). Enjoyed the occasional microwaveable meals too. Snacked often throughout the day, even at night. Loved having fresh lemon squeezed into my water! With DS1, we BD once or twice right when we got O peak on my fertility monitor and with DS2, he was sort of an unofficial try on New Year's night, hahah, so no clue when I O'd. I just told hubby to go for it since we were planning on having another soon anyway. Oh, also usually have good amount of EWCM, didn't really exercise much (tried occasionally) but have good muscle mass in general. Hope this helps anyone who wants to sway for boys.

Hi all - I'm new here and just spent a day reading how you got your girls so its only fair that I share what I was doing when I conceived my gorgeous DS. I only heard about swaying very recently and I cannot believe how I have a naturally "boy" diet and lifestyle, I thought it was all down to DH having more boy sperm LOL!

I work in a highly pressurised job with long hours and stress but its the only way I perform at work, I can't be bored, I need a certain amount of stress and lots of things to do. So that is the work context. I'm not necessarily competitive with others but I am with myself and very driven. At the time I was going to the gym 5 times a week - Monday, Tuesday and Thursday was cardio, weights and core work, Wednesday was yoga and Saturday was a hardcore Pilates class. During the week I was at the gym at 630am and at work by 845. I continued this through pregnancy only cutting down when 30 weeks PG and switching to pregnancy yoga instead of normal yoga and Pilates. Still going 4 times a week though (giving birth was very easy because of this but that's another story). I have to do the weights program due to my ongoing RSI issue but I enjoy working out anyway.

At the time of conception, it was December, so winter in the UK, and the weekend before xmas so lots of Xmas parties. I had DH on a BD schedule to maximise sperm count, I was using temps and OPK to chart O. I had a pos OPK on the Monday (it was neg on Sunday and Tuesday) and we had BD Thursday night, Saturday morning, Sunday afternoon and Monday night. I didn't feel like it after that and I didn't have much EWCM, I felt for some on Monday and there was some but not as much as previous months so I was annoyed with that and even more annoyed on the Wednesday when I had LOADS of it and at that point my DH had left for South Africa!! I thought another failed month (this was our third month of timing it right the only difference being BDing after a day and a half to allow max sperm count instead of every day).

Diet wise I've never been on a weight loss diet. I eat healthily and what I want, when I want. Lots of protein, fruit, veg, no white carbs, they have to be wholemeal. More of a savoury than sweet person although at the weekend I do sometimes have dessert. I would have Special K cereal with organic whole milk for breakfast (I head read that whole milk helps fertility), fruit for mid morning snack, lunch would be sushi, or a salad wrap, or a brown toasted sandwich with tuna. Dinner would be cous cous or brown rice with chicken or fish and heaps of veg. I've never been one to add salt to food so that's an odd one and not a regular red meat eater, maybe a few times a month but good quality non fatty meat, I love steak and lamb. I would snack on nuts, yoghurt, fruit. People would bring chocolates and cakes into work and yes I could be very tempted and I did indulge!! I had been married for 2 years so wasn't watching my weight and had steadily piled on the pounds although not overweight, a UK size 12. Before meeting my husband I was working out for 2 hours a day and clubbing all weekend so I was a size 8 and too thin so I guess I just put the weight on naturally and looked a bit more "normal". For the first 2 weeks of my cycle I was taking green tea supplements (i read that they made the egg more "viable") and evening primrose oil, after O I took vitamin E (to help with EWCM). I always took folic acid. I gave DH green tea and zinc supplements every day (as I thought it would make speed healthier).

We both drink more than we should, probably around 30 units a week each but not every day. We are weekend drinkers although at this point in time it was party season so we were drinking every day.

I really hope this helps you DS seekers.

Reading how you guys got your DDs I wish I had known about swaying before as it seems much more difficult (for me) to conceive a girl, I could have tried the first time and if it had failed it would have been ok as I would have thought "next time", really only want one of each. But at the end of the day it's a healthy baby that you want and when I decide to get PG again as soon as I'm holding that baby in my arms I won't care what it is.

Blue dust to you all!!

Hello, I'm new here but have spent a day reading as much as I can about girl swaying! I have 2 beautiful boys and after reading so much about the girl diet I can definitely see how I was favouring boys!

Ds2 was planned and I know I was eating loads of meat. I was kind of doing Atkins - lots of ham, bacon, steaks, eggs, etc. no carbs! I drank lots of coffee, and always salt everything an obscene amount!! I will definitely be cutting that out when it comes to ttc. I know I conceived ds2 either the day of ov or the day before.

Ds1 wasn't planned, but pretty much the same diet. More alcohol maybe. He wasn't planned but I did know my cycles and he was actually conceived about or 5 days days before ov!

Both were conceived by the only bd that cycle!

From what i can gather I think diet has a huge part to play in swaying, so this has given me a good idea of what to change for next time :-)

Since I had ANOTHER boy I decided to edit this post and add a few more things.

I was a vegetarian when I conceived all three of my boys. My daily diet for number 1 & 2 usually was:

-A bowl of cereal with full fat milk each morning (or an egg and cheese sandwich) I ALWAYS ate breakfast!

-a mexican type dish for lunch (usually a rice, bean, cheese, and sour cream goulash)

-a HUGE salad with lettuce, loads of chipotle sauce, shredded cheese, grilled corn, and guac for snack

-ramen noodles with butter, salt, pepper, and parmesian cheese for dinner

-and usually a bowl of ice cream and a bag of extra butter popcorn before bed

I always took vitamins or prenatals (at times megadose vitamins—B12, B6, and folate)

I was running when I conceived my DS1 and salsa/belly dancing when I conceived DS2- about 3-5 days out of the week

I usually drank either V8 or some sort of 100% fruit juice and whole fat milk. Ooh, and I always used milk to make hot cocoa-had that almost daily.

With my GD failed sway DS3 I was eating noodles with butter and parmesan cheese (that is it!). I stopped monitoring how much fat and protein I was getting so I'm sure I slowly crept up on the fat.

I always have tons of EWCM and all my boys I conceived the first month trying.

I've always been underweight, so with DS1 and DS2 I tried gaining weight. I went up 6lbs each time (from 109lbs-17.07bmi to 115lbs.-18.01bmi) With DS3 I didn't gain, but I maintained 108lbs (16.91bmi). I have been as low as 100lbs(15.66bmi) and was still ovulating so I must have something about me that wants to continue to procreate...even at a terribly low weight.

Thought I'd go ahead and add to this I have one DS and another on the way...

Took prenatals with both months before ttc. Ate lots of fast food. Drank quite a bit socially. I did only eat chicken though no red meat. Huge huge coffee lover. Not much exercise, very overweight. With this one I had been dieting hardcore lost 20 pounds got pregnant and then miscarried. I gained back 10 pounds and resumed my old eating patterns became pregnant again 4 months later.

Loved to late night snack. I didn't eat a ton of breakfast though and the coffee always seemed to make my blood sugar funky.

DH is a healthy eater. Loves garlic, takes quite a few supps for health fish oil, red yeast, and a multivitamin. He lost 20 pounds and was exercising a lot before this baby. He loves whiskey but doesn't over indulge.

I think the evening before O is probably best for blue provided that you have a lot of EWCM! No EWCM, no attempt.

Hiya, what if there is no EWCM (never really had any sorry for

Hiya, what if there is no EWCM (never really had any sorry for
TMI)? Do I try using the pre seed or still no attempt? What's best for making my body produce EWCM? Thank you

Fish oil, grapefruit juice, foreplay, robitussin are all things you can try for more ewcm. But if none of that works preseed is the way to go.

I have two ds. With my first I had no idea when I ov. we were just DTD every day for 10 days straight and bam, I was pregnant with ds #1. With ds #2 we DTD o-4, o-3, o-2,o-1. With both boys I took multivitamins every day without fail, ate breakfast every morning, usually a bowl of cereal and yogurt. I had a very low sodium diet and never drank milk, hate the stuff. I was somewhat of a couch potato, I ate fairly healthy, lots of fruits esp.

I never swayed with my 2 boys all I knew is that I wanted to get pregnant on my first tries lol..but here goes mine with both I ate lots of red meat, high sodium intake, lots of bananas, always ate breakfast, bd around O day, had orgasms, layed in bed with legs propped up, (with my DS2 I did Insanity extreme cardio before getting a BFP), DH's diet was pretty much the same.

I have one girl and then two boys. Didn't sway for any but with my boys I was taking Maca root powder in capsules about 5 a day because my cycles had never gotten back to normal after the last pregnancy (my kids are close in age). I always have lots of EWCM and I put salt on everything. I crave salt all the time on foods so maybe that's a boy thing in itself. I never eat breakfast, have coffee instead and definitely gained weight just before falling pregnant each time.

Having 3 boys myself I think I can help here once I haven't got much to say in the pink side :tissue: Naaahhhh....kidding! Love my :triplets:, all 3 of them!

DS1- Was only 16 (first boyfriend accident!), pretty stupid and had no idea what I was doing! Love the result though :) DH's sibblings had 6 kids between them, ALL BOYS! I disappointed the whole family as they thought that little girl was finally coming! I remember having tons of pizza, burgers, coke (full sugar), loads of beans and carbs, not working out much and involved in beauty contests (I could back then lol), so lots of competition.

DS2- Pretty much the same but a bit older, chubbier and no longer fit for beauty pageants :). First DH (no longer together) ate tons of meat so I followed his lead. No exercise but busy with first baby. A lot of conflict going around between me and his mum :fight: It was also in-between an attempt on the mini-pill which made me sick, I stopped the pill and fell pregnant straight away.

DS3 - new husband, much older (21 year gap from DS2). Eating lots of meat and salt. DH is a gourmet kind of guy and loves cooking, red meat and salty food. We ate healthy and a lot, heavy on carbs and protein, but also lots of veggies, etc. Working in front of a computer all day, no exercise, 10kg overweight, DTD 3 times. The only girl friendly thing I was doing was having diet soda 1x/day, everything else screams BOY!

I know now why I have 3 boys! I am trying to change my ways but I can't bend on the exercise, I hate exercising and have no time for it, I enjoy napping in the afternoon when my son is sleeping, hopefully that won't give me another boy! :)

Hey ladies!
I am new here, and like to contribute to this thread, because i might have someting useful to tell..;) I think that it is useful to this forum to compare stories of people around their attempts, getting pregnant, lifestyle, diet. Especially because of the bcp and diet i will write my story.
Hope you will read it and maybe find it useful.
We will try to have a baby in a few months, and i got interested in this genderswaying.
In 2011, i stopped my bcp, it was Diane 35; very anti-androgen-pill, which i took for about ten years for my bad case of acne.
We were going to try for a baby, and a few months later my acne came bad, just as bad as it was.
I went to a herbal doctor (with medical function and background). I went there to ask whether my acne was the result of a hormonal disbalance or something else. He strongly recommended me the Caveman-diet, aka Paleo.
He explained that carbohyrates, refined sugar and starch (potatoes) make you numb for glucose, and that causes the raise of testosteron and cortisol. (long story short) Therefore a disbalance and ofcourse the negative effects on the ovaries and hormones.
[U]I was VERY strict at following the diet, so was my husband.
I ate nothing but:
vegetables
fruit
nuts
VERY dark chocolate was permitted (more than 70% cacao)
meat, a lot of it (recommended: lean meats like chicken)
eggs
water, herbal tea or very watery juice (occasionely)
So no:
sugar
potatoes
rice
bread
dairy (so nothing, not even butter)
Besides that it is an important part of the diet that you workout and mainly focus on cardio. I cycled for an hour a day (high speed) on an empy stomach.

My husband and i were having regular sex, about every other day.
These are all the most important facts i can remember of that time.
I found out i was pregnant 4 months after stopping my bcp.
Now my lovely babyboy is 9 months old, i am crazy about him!
Maybe i will go for a personal plan to conceive a girl, but i'm not sure yet.
I read a lot, and because of my diet back then the bloodsugar theory is just impossible for me, as i only ate natural sugars.
Ofcourse we ate meat a lot, red meat not that much.
I hope you can say something about this.. :)
ps: i'm not from an english-speaking country so please forgive me my little mistakes

PS: i started to eat vegetarian style, no meat for me ; ) (my diet now is nearly the opposite of the caveman-diet, hope that will work a little bit)

I forgot: I took very complete pregnancy vitamins every single day, started 4 months before we conceived.
I had eggs with bacon every day as a breakfast, ate a lot of bananas, dtd very close to O, had orgasms every time.
I took supplements(needed to because of diet):

Magnesium (very high mg,s)
Fish oil capsules
Magnus castus
and one more i don't remember.
I am a natural stressball, a bit jumpy and easily stressed out.

last add: I had to cycle moderately for an hour a day (very strict), and include 10 sprints a session (cycle as fast as you can for 20 seconds) (=exhausting)
On an empy stomach, it is supposed to draw all the sugar out of your system.

I lost weight during this Caveman-diet, and my acne became less severe. It overall lowered my testosterone, but still swayed blue ( was'nt swaying)
I know there are more factors involved but looking back, i covered the most important thing: lowering testosterone ( loosing weight) and daily spinning for an hour. Ofcourse i ate nothing but protein. What does this diet do in swaying exactly? I know it is advised for blue.

DH and I have 4 DS and this is what we did (not intentionally!):

BD every single day from end of AF to start of AF or BFP (yes, exhausting)- PG on 1st try 3 times (3rd was ectopic)

DTD in missionary position (TMI)

I laid with my hips up in the air afterwards

DH wore boxer briefs (but not incredibly tight)

We both took showers (never baths)

Neither of us exercised much (although DH was in great shape and I was skinny with #1&2 and overweight with #3&4)

I took a prenatal vitamin and made DH too.

I ate lots of meat, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, deli meat, salty foods, chocolate, seafood, cereal, yogurt, milk, & cheese (fast food too)

I drank very little water / really any beverages all day (likely often dehydrated)

DH had a similar diet

Neither of us drank alcohol or smoked cigarettes (ever). I did not drink any caffeinated beverages (DH rarely did)

Slept 8 hours every night

With all 3 of my ds's I ate a very boy friendly diet without realizing. A big breakfast of cereal and milk (2 bowls a morning), lots of kid-like food such as PB&J, grilled cheese, meats, milk, snacks. Many nights had cereal as a bedtime snack as well. Probably was eating more calories than I should have (guessing at least 2,300/day) but I was young and likely have a high metabolism. Copious amounts of CM, including EWCM, though I didn't realize what this was.

I know we conceived ds 2 the night before O...the next day I was cramping and had a huge amount of EWCM-I remember thinking "what the heck is wrong with me!" when I saw all the EWCM since I really had no idea at that time about CM's changes during the fertile phase. DS 1 and 2 conceived very close to O and were one-hit wonders after a fairly long abstain each time. DS 3 is more tricky, it was my first cycle after mc and I had no idea when I ovulated that month. We dtd as often as we could. Was still totally on the boy diet without realizing and had lots of clear EWCM. Sporadic exercising with all 3.
Hope this helps! My biggest recommendations are to try to increase your CM as much as possible and go crazy with your breakfast cereal! :)

Oh sorry this thread doesn't usually have q's in it so I don't check every day.

How do you know it lowered your testosterone?? Did you have it checked or are you just assuming because you lost weight and had less severe acne?

There are other factors that come into play besides just testosterone - meat is very nutrient dense and can sway blue. It's been shown in studies that vegetarians/vegans have more daughters. Also, eating protein even with just a small amount of carbs, can make your blood sugar level stay in normal range and stay that way without dropping, for a long time. Blood sugar that stays up and doesn't drop, is also believed to sway blue.

Exercise, when you are eating a lot of protein, can grow your muscle mass. Exercise doesn't exist in a vaccuum (on its own) you have to take into account your diet as well. An hour of exercise with a high protein diet can easily grow muscle, even if you lose pounds of fat at the same itme.

I had DS1 at 21 and identical twin DSs2&3 at 24 and looking back I can see why.

DS1-I was very athletic and and lean but muscly though no longer doing sports when TTC. I love good food and DP is a chef. I would have musli for breakfast most mornings and 3 eggs with bread for lunch most days. We ate alot of nutrient rich dinners. Heaps of pasta, red meats and fish with big salads. DP also loved to pile the salt on and I ate quite a bit of gormet icecream and cakes from the cabinet and I snacked on chocolate and other junk food because I was studying at the time. I also would have fruit at least once a day. I never put on weight so must have had a super fast metabolism.

We made love every second night and always on the day we got a positive for impending ovulation on the clearblue digital ovulation test and the day after.

DSs2&3 whom I count as one for the purpose of talking about swaying because one boy was conceived but the egg split.

My diet had not changed much though maybe a bit more conservative because I had put on quite a bit of weight since having DS1. I had lost some muscle mass but made up for the weight in fat. We did the same when trying for number two sex wise. Oh and both were conceived in doggy style position and then I lay with my hips up for 10 mins.
I had only heard of timing method for swaying and was going to try it but I had had a MC a few months before and just wanted to get pregnant but now I know timing doesn't really work.

It seems my partner has a high sperm count because before our DSs he had 3 other DSs. 1 in his early 20s that was a one night thing and two to his ex wife in his early 30s. He smokes and drinks heaps and is stressed all the time by nature but his swimmers seems uneffected and when the twins were conceived he was 40!

That's why I feel positive about swaying because when I see how blue friendly we were, it could just work. I would love for him to have a princess, lucky number 7!

Atomic, thanks for your input, i got a little lost in my brainstorm about swaying and diet/ hormones. I did not have my level of testosterone checked, i think you should really have a major problem with it first ( doctors here aren't very generous with medication/ tests. I just assumed they had dropped, because the only thing ever worked for my acne is estrogen. Works like nothing else.
You mentioned the muscle gain despite the weight loss, did not know that : )
Now trying to sway with anti- androgen BCP and LE,maybe some supplements. I'm thinking about a Personal Plan.
Sorry, back to the subject..

No not at all, I just felt bad I missed the q the first time through!

Acne can be caused by lots of different things and sometimes, when you change your diet to include more fat and less carb/sugar, it helps your skin to clear up. The fat in the diet makes the oil in your skin more liquid and less likely to clog your pores, and less carbs/sugar gives less food for the bacteria that live in your pores. The testosterone is just one thing that can aggravate acne, it's far from the only or even the main cause.

So my guess would be, when you went on the higher protein diet, your pores were less easily clogged and also there was less food for the bacteria that live in the pores - this made your skin better regardless of your T levels.

We did typical boy diet as well! Dh and I ate lots of whole grains (never had white bread), rice, potatoes, tomato sauce/red sauce, pastas, red meat, chicken, fish. Lots of nuts, berries, fruits and veggies galore!!! I drink coffee once a day, black tea. NO DAIRY! I think this is what I need to diff now cause I HATE milk. cheese if fine, but how much cheese can you have per day. this is one area I think I was lacking and that is calcium!! i never had enough calcium. Dh and I work out a lot but I do weights and cardio. We only eat out once a week. Pretty consistent weight throughout my adult life. SALT on everything. And snack consisted of anything chcolate and salty. I love chips, crackers, pretzels, nuts, all that salty stuff! I hope this helps and you can have all my blue dust!

This sounds exactly like me. I have two boys. I ate tons of meat, never ever skipped breakfast. Not very active. Ate/snacked every few hours. DTD before O during O and after O. Used preseed. Deep release each time. They were conceived in Dec and in Feb. Not much dairy for me though. Hope this helps!

Great thread!! With DS1 I had gained weight, 4-5 kg because I had been quitting smoking 3 months before conceiving (February). I love food and ate a lot; breakfast, lunch, dinner and a lot of snacking in between. I tried to eat healthy but also ate a lot of fatty, salty food and chocolate. I always drink a lot of milk and water, sometimes sodas but never had coffee. We DTD every other day through O. I worked out at the gym or did take long walks 3-4 times a week. I got PG with DS2 (not planed right after I stopped BF DS1 in July) weighting even more than before + 5-6 kg, eating like before and doing the same amount of exercise and BD through O. I wish I had known about swaying before because DH doesn't want anymore children and I have been dreaming of a daughter all my life. Hopefully he changes his mind in a couple of years!

With both of my boys I was eating every 2-3 hours. If I was eating "healthy", then it was essentially paleo - lots of meat, olive oil, and "superfood" type fruit and veg (spinach, broccoli, blueberries) and also any grains were always whole wheat and often protein/vitamin fortified. If I was having "cheat" foods, then it was pizza (lots of meat toppings like bacon and pepperoni), mexican food (carne asada burritos, rice and beans, lots of chips and cheese dip), bacon cheeseburgers and fries, etc. Both were conceived around the winter holidays so having lots of extra treats and drinks and gaining a few extra pounds...not exercising at all.

I had zero artificial sweeteners and zero caffeine, unless it was diet cola in a cocktail. Drank red wine primarily. I was taking prenatal vitamins with DHA, plus extra fish oil caplets, calcium, vit d, vit c.

With my second boy I was still breastfeeding and he was like a 4-5 day cut-off. First DS was right at O.

I have three boys and did not sway (i had no clue about swaying). I used to eat inthe morning toast bread with butter, jam or philadelphia cheese. One cup of coffee with sugar and cream.
Lunch and dinner, lots of meats, salty foods, I love pickles, olives, lots of feta cheese, I love salty foods. I used to eat a lot of salad with tomoatoes and cucumbers. I love to eat deserts also. I do not drink any sodas but mostly water and coffee. Eat lots of potatoes and bananas. Lots of eggs in my cooking. I use oilive oil in everything.
I took prenatal vitamins from nature made. No excersise at all, if running around kids counts in excercise.
I always had my boys on the 14th day oof my cycle of 28 days. It only took one time to get pregnant. I was under a lot of stress all the times I conceived my boys.

I have a boy. I realise I was very much eating a boy diet.

I am very slim naturally.

When my son was conceived I was eating lots of red meat, salty foods. I LOVE salty chips, steak, red meat, bacon, gammon.

I was eating tonnes of crisps and drinking full fat coke. Never eat chocolate.

Hiya, thought I would add to this!

I am a total boy mum but DS1 could have been a girl! When I conceived DS1 I was veggie and was on the mini pill and he was a whoopsie baby! But I had gained a bit of weight (from being too thin to average over a couple of months), I ate loads of fortified breakfast cereal, took vitamins, had loads of sex over the space of a few days. Love salt and had loads of EWCM. I don't remember exactly what I was eating as it was a while back now!

DS2- absolute classic boy sway. I had deliberately gained weight again to TTC, slowed down my cardio to 3x per week, started eating meat (had eaten a burger that night!) given up aspartame, was TTC, loads of EWCM. Sex every 3 days through O, used pre-seed, cereal for breakfast and multi-vitamins. No wonder!

Very interesting! With my first DD1 I was working full time as a midwife so crazy shift work, skipping meals, had lost a lot of weight for my wedding just prior to conception. I was generally not getting a lot of fruit, veg etc. When I conceived DS1 I had recently gained weight, & I was eating very regular as a stay at home mum, breakfast was cereal with fruit( usually a banana or two!!) lunch was tinned tuna/ or ham salad with boiled eggs & a big salad, dinner was red meat/fish/chicken with potatoes/ pasta & lots of veg. i also use a lot salt/ olive oil in cooking. regular all day snacks were Youghurt, nuts, fruit, so boy friendly. Weekend dinners were usually meat heavy pizzas & salty snacks. I followed the same exact eating pattern when I conceived DS2. I knew nothing about swaying for any of my children. Can't believe how girl/ boy friendly my diets were.

Hi all , I really hope this helps : ) here is an insight into my lifestyle when I conceived my boys : ) Thanks again for all your imput into the thread on how you coneived yiur girls .Thank you !

Baba 1 - I was on a diet over a month before I conceived and a month afterwards .Loosing 2 stone .
I ate three meals a day , breakfast, lunch and tea and snacked three times a day inbetween my three meals. This was religiously , the same time every day without a doubt .... I remember.....because I was starving : ) . I had either brown toast/ wheat cereal or porridge for breakfast . Lunch was always brown bread and at that time I was trying out gluten free bread so I had one protein either cheese/ham with salad . Tea consisted off either two small potaotes , veg and a protein ....either salmon, egg, chicken or ham . Sometimes I would have brown rice instead of the potatoe or brown bread ........My snacks inbetween were always fruit ......... which was either a bannana, orange, grapes , apple or strawberries .
I was using opks .....First time conceiving , so just wanted to get pregnant.... so as soon as I seen a line on the opks ( not meaning it was darker) we bedded as much as we could .It was definitely from cycle day 11 onwards .....Which was definitely well before ov and during it.
Dh - was on a diet also .We both did no exercise , but just the odd walk when we could fit it in.

Baba2- On the same diet also .....exactly the same .... ooopsie baby , but only bedded early morn cd 12,eve - 16, 17 of a 27 day cycle . I know this , because I have it all documented : ) Also in my notes I had sorry tmi .... brown watery cm on day 13 and 14 of that cycle.....never ever had I anything like that mid cycle .My cycles were between 27 and 29 days .

Hope this helps in anyways. I didnt know you could sway when I conceived both but looking at my diet I think it sways boy. Just trying to grasp how the 2nd baba was conceived, in terms of when I ovulated....im finding it difficult to know when to dtd to concieive a girlie as both my boys as you can see where concieved around and possibly after o.
Wishing you all the best girls . Feel free to ask me anything at all. : )

My veg consisted of .... carrots , broc , mushrooms, onions sweetcorn . Didnt like anything else x

We were going to start TTC so upon my OBGYN's advice, waited 3-4 months after stopping BC to try and TTC - I used to have a very unhealthy life style and diet so during those few months, I did all that I could to be super healthy to get my body ready for pregnancy - little did I know, I was doing a perfect boy sway :)

Though I've always been a vegeterian, I ate every couple hours, very healthy meals, lots of tofu, salt in everything, lots of lentils/beans/etc. Always ate a hearty breakfast and was working out every day or every other day for about 30 to 45 minutes :) I was also taking prenatals and multi-vitamins

We were also having sex 2-3 times a week and I remember we dtd on the day I was ovulating - hubby released inside me and said, there's your baby..lol!! I also laid there with my hips propped for about 1/2 hour.

Hi. I love the "How I got my girl" thread for girl sways...so I figured I would come over here and post my boy experience. It was over two years ago now and our lives have obviously changed...lol, so I can't remember everything, but I can tell you what I do know.

I am a totally meat & potatoes girl. We ate all meats, pepperoni pizza, Mexican food, and a ton of cheese. I hadn't gained a ton of weight, but I know I had gained about 5 lbs over the 6 months or so before that by being pretty lax about what I was eating. I also love sweets. I was working at the time, so I didn't eat breakfast regularly, but I did snack literally all day long, and ate out a lot for lunches and never made an effort to choose a healthy meal, I just ate what I wanted.

My husband and I had sex often. I didn't know my exact O day at the time, but we had sex 3 consecutive days and I think it was 0 day and the two days before, OR day before/O day/and day after. My husband was on vacation before that (our first attempt was the night he got home) and has a tendency to take care of himself pretty regularly when I'm not around.

We conceived in our first month trying. I have no idea about CM or PH...I didn't pay any attention to those then. I was taking a prenatal. Also, I didn't do any kind of exercise at all, not even the occasional walk around the block. I drank mostly water, occasionally a soda, and rarely any juice or milk.

**Edited to include...I hadn't been on BCP for close to a year before TTC because it gave me yeast infections.

Our lifestyle at the time may not have been "classic boy", but I think it was probably more boy friendly than it is now. Hope you girls get your boys! :)

Hi there! I have one boy and didn't sway.

My diet was pretty normal and healthy with lots of fruit and veg plus red meat, chicken and fish. Te breakfast everyday, then snacks, followed by lunch and dinner plus something before bed.

I love salty food and my partner loves vinegar. We used to eat a lot of it. almost never drank milk, except in the coffee. Didn't use prenatal vit, didn't exercise. Had only one attempt on O day, stayed in bed and elevated my hips for 10-15 min. didn't sway, although was hoping for a little boy.

Now hoping to have little girl next time. Good luck to everyone! ;)

We weren't swaying when we conceived our little baby boy last year. Every day I was eating breakfast at home (cereals) and a second breakfast at work (bread and fruits). Drank lots of coffee and had lots of stress at work. I also ate lots of potatoes, bananas, tomatos, apples and all different kinds of bread that we have in Germany :) Gained about 4 pounds right bevore conceiving and stopped doing exercises because of the stress at work. Lots of snacking due to stress. I almost never drank milk and never ate eggs.
DH ate lots of pasta, potatoes, fruits, tomatoes, bread and meat and was exercising a lot (sit-ups and stuff like that) to buildt up muscle mass (and succeeded :kissy:) ... when I found this forum, I found out that we might have done a good boy sway without knowing :)
We BDed something like every third day. My baby boy was conceived either at O-Day or the day before O-Day. (I tracked ovulation via Clearblue Fertility Monitor). Took us 1 month to conceive :)

We have 2 boys and were not swaying. I always had a big breakfast and ate throughout the day so I was never hungry. My breakfast was All Bran with milk, 2 slices of Vegemite on toast and a banana. I ate 2-3 bowls of All-Bran a day and usually had more than 4 slices of Vegemite on toast. I had a lot of milo with milk. I also had lots of full cream Greek yoghurt. I also had multivitamins, iron and vitamin D tablets (I am vegetarian). My husband had multivitamins, zinc and vitamin D tablets (he is also vegetarian). For my first son we conceived on Clomid as I was ovulating irregularly. We conceived our second son naturally. We DTD every 2-3 days from AF. Hope this helps someone :)

I have DD, DS, DD, I posted on the how we got our girls page and thought i would add my DS diet here. When trying to conceive DS I started in September and was following IG diet and doing atkins diet as well to try and loose weight for DD1 chastening. My DD1 was christened the end of February and after 6 months of not getting pregnant I stopped all IG sups and drinks,, started putting on some weight, because the christening was over was still eating mostly meat, eggs, protein and veggies and full fat oils, mayo etc.... got pregnant 1st try after giving up on IG DTD 3 days in a row from positive opk and got my DS.

Hi! I know this is old but I ran across the girl one (hoping to conceive one soon) so I though I would come on this one to help anyone trying for a boy. I have two boys, the first we tried for (though not as extensive as this website shows!), the second really wanted a girl but didn't really try (thought it would be easier). His brother's had only had girls.
I am an eater so I ate a lot all the time, and always breakfast! I am a meat and potato girl, but eat a wide variety of food. We waited to try until I was almost certain that I was ovulating, and tried once. I layed in bed and didn't move lol! I exercised a decent amount.
The second time we tried a few days before but when I knew I was ovulating I chickened out and we tried again. It's hard to abstain when you know how to get pregnant! Layed in bed again. I was only two months past having acl reconstructive surgery, so not a lot of exercise.
Didn't orgasm either time, was more focused on getting pregnant. Missionary both times. Never douched or used ph strips or ovulation predictors. Got off bc pills three months ahead of time.
My husband's dad had four boys.
Hope this helps someone get a boy!
Hope any of this helps!

I have 3 boys so I thought I would come over from TTC girl and add in.

When I got pregnant with my boys I didn't consume alcohol of any kind. I'm a HUGE cereal eater. I will eat cereal for breakfast and a snack. I've always ate a good portion while eating lunch or dinner. I like to snack a lot. I had a high protein diet during those times. I love eggs and meat. I've never swayed in the past. With my last time (2010) of getting pregnant I had sex one time around ovulation. I don't believe timing sways though. I think a diet plays a big part in swaying. Also the month I conceived I just finalized my divorce. It took 2 yrs so I went thru a lot of stress but that was the first month of no stress. Good luck ladies!

I had never heard of swaying. I had been on the pill for 13 years and came off it in the April. Had a withdrawl bleed and set about ttc, we didnt get pg. So in May I bought samsar concieve plus (Which is know know is blue friendly) I was obsessed that I didnt have much EWCM and thought this would help.

I was doing no exercise, always ate cereal for breakfast and would usually snack on biscuits throughout the morning at work until breaktime. We ate out a lot in the week general pub food and we drank lots of wine. I would also have general drink binges at the weekend with friends and the odd cigerette. I was overweight too. We dtd the month we got our son everyday from after af finished. During my fertile 5 day window (I tempted using FF) we dtd 3x. We were worn out from doing it everyday! We did it 0-3 0-2 and 0+1.

I was taking prenatal vitamins and would lie with my legs in the air for up to 30 mins afterwards.

Hope this helps xx

When we conceived our son, almost 4 years ago, I was also swaying blue without knowing. I always ate all bran cereal with milk when I got up in the morning, and pretty much ate every 2 to 3 hours, snacking in between meals. I've always been a big meat eater and at that time was eating lot of junk food in the evenings. I was also exercising at the gym, 5 times a week, 20 minutes cardio with strength training 40 minutes. I began taking prenatal supps 3 months before ttc, including omega's. I was also a bit overweight then. Was obsessing over getting pregnant after trying for 5 months and worrying that I would struggle like my mother and sister (raising testosterone). I also read up on what foods make you more fertile and ate a lot of those for about 8 months in total before bfp. Things like cashew nuts and sunflower seeds (ate them every day), didn't drink any coffee, was afraid it would lower my fertility (not a big fan anyway). Dtd missionary position and waited with legs in the air for 10 minutes. Dtd every other day round ovulation. Hope this helps, can't think of anything else right now... ;)

OK I will add mine also!
I have always had EWCM EVEN on BCP. I was on Nuvaring and had my son. SO I think having EWCM was a big factor for me.
I also conceived my DS during a very stressful time in my life. Stressful meaning I had no choice but to feel I had to control EVERYTHING around me. A lot going on, a lot of multitasking and worrying. This started 6 months before I conceived.
During the months before I conceived, I ate really well lol. Was living with my parents as I was waiting for my (new) husband to return home from military. Lots of nutritional, mineral rich food. I also snacked during the day.
I was running about 40 mpw and training for a marathon. I think I may have gained a little bit of weight (like maybe a pound or 2) but was still very petite (I was probably 103 pounds, 5 foot 1 when normally I am 99 like I am at this moment right now). I mostly drank Gatorade and water.

My grandma has 7 sisters, and all of her kids had one or the other. My mom had 4 daughters, her brother (my uncle) had 2 sons, and her sister (my aunt) has 2 sons.

I guess I have had a boy diet without knowing it lol. With my boys I was always eating a balanced diet...never drink soda or anything with artificial sweetener, etc...all different meats including red meat, fish, chicken (not a TON of red meat but do eat red meat), lots different veggies, sometimes sweets. I love food and all kinds of food so I ate almost anything. Lots of potatoes and whole wheat. I was very fit when I had DS1, then gained a small bit of weight with him, and by DS3 had gained a lot of weight (lost over 20 pounds this past year though yeay!). I have always been worried about my fertility even though I have always been fertile (I am a real worrier), so would take things like whatgrass or green tea, etc to balance hormones. I always tried to "eat a rainbow" of fruits and veggies. But once in a while I would go to McDonalds and get filet fish sandwiches and ice cream. I also love breakfast and ate egg and cheese sandwiches, pancakes, omelettes etc.
As far as the Maternal Dominance theory, well that's me lol! While parts of me can be laid back, I have OCD (hypochondia mostly but other forms as well) and feel like I MUST be in control or something bad will happen. I have horrible anxiety.
That's all I can think of. I am planning to sway pink and already having anxiety about not eating healthy -eek- hope that doesn't sway blue lol!
Oh- all 3 boys were concieved on O day...first one I just "knew" when I was O-ing, 2nd I was using CBEFM, and 3rd was a one-hit wonder concieved DTD one night in a span of about 5 months dry spell lol. With DS2 we used Preseed but never used it again b/c dh hated the way it felt (before DS2 I had just had 2 m/c's so was desperate to try anything to get a sticky).
Also want to add that I suspect I have always had high testosterone- since puberty I have always had very oily skin (except when PG), I need to get waxed often, etc.

Hello lady's. I have 2 boys and am now ttc a girl. I never did try to sway for a boy but looking back lots of what I did was boy friendly so I thought I'd add my experience from what I can remember. It's been 4 and 2 years ago so if I leave something out and you have a question just ask :)

ds1. I was 18 and just out of high school. I was extremely active. Doing heavy cardio and strength 5 days a week. I didn't really like ground beef but loved steak but didn't eat it often. but did eat chicken for dinner pretty much every night. I ate oatmeal cereal eggs fruit toast (a combination of a couple of these) for breakfast. Then lunch was pizza salad ham sandwich chips fruit veggies (combination of a few). Dinner was mainly chicken sometimes with pasta side or side of veggies. I did snack on nature valley bars sometimes a little candy (didn't really like sweets back then) fruit veggies or whatever else I could find. I only had one "attempt" (wasn't planned. My now hubby didn't pull out in time. I know not a form of bc but I was young. And we had just gotten back together so it was a moment of passion I suppose.) I was not on any supplements but was very muscular and ate very healthy.

Ds2. I got pregnant again when my ds1 was only 9 months so I was very fertile. I was on antibiotics and it interacted with my bc. My diet wasn't nearly as healthy but still very boy friendly. I started eating burgers since sincey first pregnancy I like them. Was eating a bit more stake. Snacking off my ds plate. Ate sweets all throughout the day. Had pasta as a side a lot with a meat dinner and still at a fair amount of fruit. im not sure about timing since I was on bc and antiboitics but the dates seem to point to one attempt in my fertile window with none before attempts.

Things worth mentioning. I love soda salt and coffee

I conceived both my boys after my DP and I followed a strict four month preconception plan, the aim of which was to try and conceive the healthiest babies possible. It was devised by my naturopath and based on the program in the book 'The Natural Way to Better Babies' by Francesca Naish (my naturopath used to work at her clinic in Sydney).

We followed it as closely as we could, and it basically advocates a very healthy, balanced diet for both partners, no smoking or drinking for either, regular exercise, taking copious amounts of supplements (I was taking a prenatal multi, 4mg folic acid, Vitex to regulate my cycles, calcium/magnesium, fish oil, Inner Health Plus (a probiotic), coQ10, iron, 1000mg vitamin C, cranberry and zinc before bedtime). My DP was taking a men's multi, vitamin C, fish oil, coQ10, cranberry and zinc before bedtime). All in quite high doses.

I was also prescribed herbs that I took twice a day.

My DP had his sperm count tested shortly before we conceived and the doctors told him his results were 'very impressive'! Interestingly, he'd switched from cycling regularly to doing weights and yoga/pilates.

Interestingly, both my naturopath and Francesca Naish have only boys, as do all the naturopaths in their practice, and most of the women who follow their plan seem to end up with boys. It's not designed as a 'boy' plan, but I think 90% of the things it advises do end up swaying blue, so I strongly believe that following this plan helped me conceive my boys. The great thing about it is that it's also designed to help you conceive very healthy babies.

In terms of diet, I have always eaten a lot, as I'm one of those people that can pretty much eat what I want without gaining weight. So I would have three big meals a day, plus multiple snacks throughout the day. Most of my main meals were very healthy (I also switched from being a vegetarian to eating meat again), contained lots of protein and carbs and lots of fresh vegetables. I'm a bit of a carb addict, so I always have to eat carbs (bread, pasta etc.) with my meals. I was also adding a fair amount of salt to my food.

Having said that, I have a VERY sweet tooth, so was also eating a lot of chocolate, French pastries and danishes, cakes etc., but all good-quality (from good bakeries and patisseries - not supermarket / packaged foods).

I was drinking about three or four large, strong hot chocolates a day, and basically just getting a lot of calories and nutrients from my diet.

I swam for 40 mins about five or six times a week, walked everywhere (I don't drive) and did yoga a couple of times a week.

As my DP has a high sperm count, we DTD very frequently around O after abstaining for about three days or so, but in the two days leading up to O, on O day and the day after, we were BDing twice a day.

We used Preseed to conceive both our boys, and I have a friend who also used Preseed to conceive her son (though also used it with her daughter). I strongly believe that Preseed aids conception as I've recommended it to several friends who've been TTC without success for months, then had luck once they used Preseed (most have had boys, but there've been a couple of girls as well).

With the pregnancy I lost several years ago, my diet would have been very similar to the above. I was just probably doing a bit less exercise.

Hope this helps! :)

I have 3 boys never knew about swaying until I was pregnant with my 3rd son. thinking back at the things I had in common w/ all 3 conceptions, I have always lifted weights with cardio, leave my laptop on lap all the time (w/ the last 2, only mentioned that b/c ions affect some women not all, unsure if it was a coincidence, but heard from a different site that it sways blue), stressed out with all 3 pregnancies and didn't have a getaway for the stress b/c it was at home; I used to get upset, anxious and compulsive about any little thing so all of which kept up my testosterone levels.
DTD we would every other day or every 2 or 3 days and when I conceived was around CD 10 or 11. Used no lubes, most of the time condoms or pull out. DH liked different positions, especially with me on top but not facing him-(like a doggie style but not on my knees). DH always jokingly says to his friends who want boys to have "drunk lustful intercourse" (again don't know if that has anything to do with it but my friend who has 2 girls would tell me to get a girl with gentle passionate lovemaking.) Oh and I do remember I definitely climaxed with the last 2 which I read on here makes your environment down south very alkaline.
For Diet, I have somewhat of a high metabolism, so I would eat anything I wanted and big portions, always had snacks like dried fruit and crackers (triscuits). Drank any kind of fruit juice, never used aspartame in anything, hardly drank sodas (if I did it was clear full sugar sprite, sierra mist or 7up), lots of green tea not much coffee more so teas. Stayed away from dairy products, especially cows milk. Drank lots of almond and soy milk always, lots of water (tap & filtered), loved ice cream, used salt for everything, loved to bake and eat my baked desserts, and ate lots of wheat bread or bread based sweet desserts (cinnamon rolls, cakes, cookies). Loved, tomatoes, bananas, tons of potatoes, marinara sauce with wheat pasta and french bread, rice a roni, manwich, and other processed foods either pre-made or DIY prepared products. Never ate red meat but always white lean poultry and seafood. raised to think breakfast was my best friend especially on the weekends a big sunday or saturday breakfast w/ all the fixings. Can't forget lots of asian/thai food or mexican food, fast food (loved bar food) and a lot of bbq'd food-loved it burnt too (noticed that was on He diet). also canned soups and peanut butter & jelly sandwiches on wheat.
For supplements, I was always on a prenatal vitamin plus folic acid, when I did take calcium it was carbonate, also iron, biotin, fish oil and st. johns wort for a short time. Also something I never did but do now is use products that balance out my Ph, which the first time I ever checked it was at a 7-7.5.
After reading I was so shocked about the idea and reality of swaying, glad I discovered the concept from a former due date buddy. Now 3 years later, voila! Gender Dreaming, which is the MOST Helpful website I've come across by far for gender swaying, so glad! I Send and retire all my blue dust your way ladies for the ones who are planning for blue!

It's been a while since I've posted (been on a lot though cuz I love this site). I thought I'd include my boy "sway" ( I didn't sway but did unintentionally lol). I have two beautiful boys and this is what I did:

DS1...I've had hypothyroidism for 9years.... I had heard about Shettles, but didn't put a lot of thought into swaying yet. I was quite overweight at the time (220lbs) and definitely ate every 3-4 hours (a lot too...hence my weight). I loved junk, always had meat with supper (red meat at least 1-2 times a week), loved salty foods (never added extra salt though). I wasn't much of a sweets person (never craved it always craved salty)...ate a ton of carbs (always whole grain bread tho)...rarely ate fruit or veggies (once in a while)...drank a lot of regular Pepsi...I had a very unhealthy diet, but took in a lot of nutrition. I was also a vitamin addict...I took a multivitamin, Vit D, calcium/mag, omega-3, Vit C, and even garlic EVERY day...I honestly never missed these. My DH and I DTD one time close to O...I'd say O-1 or maybe O-2(I think it's closer to the first tho)....I had read no big O for me (girl Shettles) so I didn't. We abstained for 10 days and did it once. Afterwards I got up immediately and J&D and wiped. I used Preseed too because I wanted to increase fertility. I was 30 at the time.

DS2 I had him two years after DS1... We DTD once the day before O and we abstained (my hubby was hunting with 4 other guys for 8 days before this...I didn't want to wait another month so we just DTD...right before O...again, I didn't know about this site only Shettles). No big O for me again...immediately after I got up and just wiped, no J&D this time. I was gestational diabetic with my first son so I had switched from regular Pepsi to diet Pepsi (drank this before conceiving DS2) and I drank a lot of it. I was still very overweight (same weight as with DS1) and I virtually ate the same (I hadn't found this site yet). I was still a vitamin addict and took the same as above...I ate breakfast, lunch and dinner (with both boys) every day....I constantly snacked and even ate before bed most nights....I loved toast and PB, cheese, never drank coffee/tea, still loved salty foods, loved potatoes, meat, pasta and tomato sauce, enjoyed a few drinks on the weekend....I definitely didn't use portion control either. I had lost weight while pregnant with my DS1 but gained the weight back and a little more after I had him....I was always fluctuating my weight...but I wasn't in a pattern of losing yet. With both boys I had the same job which has stress but I tried not to let it get to me....I am very quick to temper though and get really frustrated if things don't go my way (little controlling I guess lol).

DH was the same with both boys: he was slightly overweight, usually only ate one meal a day (dinner), drank 2-3 cups of coffee every morning, never took vitamins, smoked a pack of smokes a day, drank approx. one-two drinks every few days, loved veggies, didn't exercise.

I conceived DS1 in October and DS2 in November...I didn't exercise with either boys and my cycles were very regular (28-29) days...I was a regular smoker too before conceiving both boys...I looked at the Chinese calendar and it was right for 1 and not for 2. I sure hope this gives some insight into how to conceive a boy :) I feel I definitely know how to do that lol blue dust to everyone :)

I have two boys (didn't sway for them)

I never drink cokes, very low dairy except cheese, no purposeful exercise. Lots of red meat and meat in general. Salted my food. Drink a lot of sweet tea and fast food. Lots of tomatoes and tomato sauce - I make Italian food a lot. Bd every day "doggy style" until + opk and elevated my hips for 20ish minutes afterwards. I try to eat healthy so lots if nuts and avocados, bananas, and citrus fruits. Have all my boy dust I'm swaying for a girl!

It's no wonder I ended up with two girls, I naturally eat more of a "girl" diet.

Dh's parents have 8 kids, 7 are boys...and there are 5 grand daughters and only 1 grandson. We want to ttc to add another boy ! I'd say genetically speaking we should be in the running...but where did all these grand daughters come from ? hahaha.

I think I finally want to add to this thread. I don't remember everything from when I first conceived in 2010 but...I love salt. I was about 140lbs and 5'5" at conception, and I had just put on ten pounds or so. I love fast food and was eating out a lot, had just finished my first year of college, was very tan from spending a lot of time in the sun. I was visiting my husband after he finished basic training. We had 5(!) attempts that weekend....haha. It wasn't a planned pregnancy, more like a condom/natural family planning fail, but my little red headed boy is the best accident ever. :) My diet was not very healthy at all but probably lots of fat and sodium. I don't eat red meat or pork but I love chicken and fish. When my angel was conceived in 2012 I was doing insanity workout, following the diet advice of the book Eat This, Not That: Supermarket Survival Guide, so I had vastly improved my diet. I loved milk and drank it every day. For this conception we had two attempts, once at night and then again the next morning (planned pregnancy). Still ate lots of meat. One of my favorite things to eat for breakfast is a peanut butter and egg white sandwich or English muffin. And with that I'd have a banana or two. I love video games, and Mass Effect 3 had just come out so I was playing tons of that. I was about 120lbs at this time which is a normal weight for me, and I'm naturally a bit muscular. I'd just had a huuuuuge falling out with a good friend that was a long time coming. We both had DS's the same age and the whole first year was like one big competition...whose baby was doing what first, etc. I was constantly in competition with her and she lived right across the street, so the fight just made it worse. If you want a boy, get a rival lol. I was also under a ton of stress, had planned my wedding in April that year and then was planning a cross country move for July, and just lots of type A stuff going on. I was also taking a prenatal vitamin.

Hi I already have a boy and am swaying for a girl next.
I thought i would add what I was doing whilst i conceived my boy just in case it helps anyone swaying blue.

I was working as a gardener/tree planter and it was very hard work, i had muscles on my muscles and was very strong and fit.
I weighed 50 kilos.

I am a vegetarian and my diet consisted of :
Cereals for breakfast
Snacks were fruit (lots of bananas) or muesli bars
Lunch was salad rolls or vegie pasties
Dinners were pasta or rice dishes, meat alternatives such vegetarian mince and lentil burgers ( things that are packed with extra protien) and Tofu.
I ate soy yogurt too.
I ate lots of salty foods.
I drank 2-3 cups of coffee a day with 2 sugars in each.

I ate a fair amount of carbs but didnt stack on the weight as i was working hard although when i stopped work at 7 months pregnant my body went beserk and i stacked on tons of weight from 50 kilos to 70 kilos.
I am back to 54 kilos now.

I was taking blackmores pregancy vitamins leading up to conception as well as extra iron in the form of a seaweed drink (spirulina)

I was smoking and drank a bit of alcohol on weekends before conception.
I was very stressed due to other family issues at the time.

My partner has 4 boys all up ( 3 to a previous relationship)
He was a big meat eater ate fairly healthy though and has always done some form of weight lifting excersise.
He was taking mens multi vitamin at the time of conception of our boy.
He ate lots of salt and far too much coffee ( like 8-10 cups a day)

Hope that might help someone swaying a boy.

Hi there I have two boys,
DS1- overweight, exercised rarely, 3 meals a day with LOTS of snacking inbetween, took prenatals and DH took menevit. Took 13mths to conceive.
DS2- found out I had PCOS, hadn't lost or gained weight, 3 large meals and grazed throughout the day, had a tubal flush out and was on conceived first month after and on 100mg of clomid.
Good luck to you all :)

i have two boys.

DS1 - no swaying. bd on ovulated day
DS2 - failed shettles method with 2days cutoff.
Then i realised timing is minor factor of swaying.

I eat breakfast everyday. Had meesiam, fried meehood and a cup of black coffee for breakfast.

For lunch and dinner, i ate anything that can fill my tummy. Mainly noodles lover. And realised my meals are high salt and spicy content. Less fruits and milk intake.

Snack potatoe chips daily and supper occasionally

hardly execised.
Though weight never increased, neither it drop too.

now im looking at swaying pink methods and realised eating breakfast and snacks daily are the main reasons of my ds2 arrival.

hope these info help those who are swaying blue. Good luck!

Mum to 3 boys. Never skip breakfast, LOVE food and try to eat healthy-oats with water for breakfast, lunch tuna/crackers/salad, dinner meat/salad or spaghetti bog/stew/curry etc though homemade no sauces from jars, snacks fruit/chocolate, drinks water/herbal tea/some coffee. HUGE SALT LOVER- will salt main meals minimum 3 times. Next to no dairy-yuck! I am in low end of healthy BMI- never struggled with weight gain despite the large amounts I eat! Exercise only occasionally. Multivitamin user. LOTS OF EWCM minimum 7 days and need panty liner. Bding only if I'm in mood, O yes otherwise I wouldn't bd! Personality: control freak, dominate, very assertive. Boys conceived bding every second day just around o, once 5 days before o, o+12!

I have 5 boys and definitely believe that diet has played a big part. I've always loved red meat, I eat it almost every day (so bad!). Lots of steak and burgers, bacon, fast food. I've always tried to avoid carbs but slip up often (which is why I'm not as thin as I'd like to be). I also drink a lot of caffeine. Coffee and until recently regular soda (just switched to diet soda and CL a couple months ago). I never drink milk or eat cereal. Don't eat a lot of carbs or sweets, at least I try not to. When I do eat sweets it's chocolate. I love vegetables and salad, but not fruit. When I drink alcohol it's beer. I don't exercise much at all, though I'm trying to change that.

I always say I'd rather have 10 boys than give up my steak, coffee, and beer...but I think if we ttc again I'll give it a serious sway.

you don't need to give up coffee and beer to TTC pink. Whatever was giving you sons, it wasn't those two things and we are getting great results using them as pink sway tactics.

Hi girls moms out there :)
I hope you get the little boys you long for! I am longing for a girl and I would love to provide you with some info to - maybe - help you get your boys.
When I conceived my DS (who is now 3) I lived an extremely boy friendly lifestyle without knowing it.

I kept my blood sugar stable all the time by eating regularly and by not eating a lot of sugar. I was almost never hungry as I would snack to prevent low blood sugar. I almost never had alcohol. I was not big on meat, though, and almost exclusively had chicken and minced meat. Oh, and lots and lots of eggs ;)

For breakfast I had oatmeal with milk, raisins and almonds or omelet with rye bread and sometimes tomatoes or bell peppers.
I would have a midmorning snack - I honestly don't remember what, but a good guess would be swedish crisp bread (the healthy type) or a multigrain roll and a banana.
For lunch ryebread with some sort of topping like tuna fish or sliced ham. And some vegetables. Or warm reheated left overs from last night.
Afternoon: Again a healthy snack.
Dinner: pasta, rice or potatoes with vegetables or meat sauce.

And my only vice was crisps and salted popcorn!

Generally I really tried to be healthy: Only cooked with premium olive oil, only fresh produce, no processed foods, no burgers, fries or the likes. I would never ever use artificial sweetener. Would snack on nuts and fruit and almost never ate sweets. If I had cake it would be my home baked chocolate cake. I had very little dairy as I didn't stomach it well.

I was a BMI of approx 22 and worked out every second day with light weight lifting. I had a slim, toned body with female curves. My main means of transportation was my bike and I biked 5-8 km /day.

I had a really competitive job and had bad relations to my boss and my several of my colleagues so I felt quite stressed out and would easily get angry with people.
I also took prenatals for 6 months prior to BFP.
DS was conceived in full moon - 6 weeks after a m/c. I layed with my hips propped up for 15 min.

Lastely I want to add that it really is possible to change ones diet and lifestyle and have ones DG: I have been TTC pink for a year now and have lost weight down to BMI 19.5, never snack, I have terrible ;) pink eating habits (not really habits - I'm finding it hard), have stopped working out and have stopped trying to plan everything and worry about everything. And I got pregnant with a girl in august 2013 (we unfortunately had to terminate the pregnancy as the fetus had a serious chromosome disorder). So it really is possible. I am now hoping to get a BFP soon with another pink bean. This time a healthy one so that we can add a little girl to our family.

Best of luck to you all!

I swayed for my boys without even realising! I was keen to get pg ASAP so took all the supplements to aid fertility - pregnacare conception which contains L-Arginine, epo and flax seed oil for ewcm, ate a diet high in protein, nutrients, red meat, always ate fortified cereal for breakfast, always snacking, always preferred full fat, full sugar rather than low cal versions - I have quite a high metabolism so I'm not fat amazingly!! Always preferred salty foods too. I had DH on pregnacare conception for men, along with omega 3,6,and 9 oil capsules. Used Preseed to DTD. I have a short LP (9 days) so took supplements to try and help with this - vitex Angus castus, dong quai, b-100 complex, and raspberry leaf tea (which all helped to increase my LP) So it's really not a surprise I got my boys! I only realised that everything it was doing swayed boy since I've been looking into swaying girl for number 3.

I was totally obsessed with TTC for our first- I was also already on supplements because I had wonky long cycles and thought it would take a long time to get pregnant. I charted, took maca root, also vitex (but stopped both in the middle of the cycle as they changed my cycles for the worse).

I ate often and lots of meat, cheese, but also super unhealthy stuff like chips, bacon, etc anything I was hungry for really. I'm naturally thin with a high metabolism but I also am active and love to do weight training as I just think it is the quickest and most efficient way to stay nice and toned. We BD while TTC pretty much every other day and always on O as I can tell very easily when it is happening.

Both boys happened the first month.

First boy was conceived a month after my honeymoon where I pigged out and continued to pig out when I got home. Ate whatever I wanted. Took Fertilaid, Mucinex, lots of BD around O. With my second son DH and I was taking Fertilaid again, I recall I was eating a lot of burritos with salsa around that time. Like I would eat half the jar in one sitting, lol. I was vitamin D deficient so I was taking massive doses of vitamin D. Still pigging out and still had 10 pounds to lose from my first son. I didn't sway for either, in fact I was about to look into a girl sway for my second but we conceived by accident (would not trade either boy for the world, they are my everything). Now looking back it seemed like I was doing classic boy sways without even knowing.

i have 2 boys, cant really remember how i ate with my first son as it was 12 years ago, lol. i know i always had breakfast, and a lot of ready meals, take aways, drank loads as i was only just 18 and out every weekend (before i got pregnant of course)
my my second son i think it was pretty much the same, its only these past few maybe 6 years that i have started cooking properly.Again i always had breakfast.Pretty sure it was the ready meals/frozen food that gave me my boys as there packed with salt.
oh also i took 2 hour dance classes twice a week,so not exercising when we do our sway for a girl this time.

I was eating everything I wished at any time of the day. Lots of pizza, mcdonalds, sweets(chocolate). No vegetables and fruits(I never liked them). Didnt excersise at all! Hated gym! Lots of snaks!
Was sleeping a lot every day. I was in a constantly holiday :)
Concieved him in beginning of May.
Got pregnant most probably with 4-5 days before O in (women on top position) and orgasm same time with my hubby.

I hope you all get what you dream.
And dont forget....You need to be very patient with boys! :-)
Good luck!

Hi all, I'm a mom of 4 boys - 2 from my previous marriage, and 2 from my current. I can't remember much about my 1st 2 except that I was a sahm, eating whatever, whenever I wanted. I smoked. Didn't drink though. Lots of eggs and dishes with ground beef - weights all the time! Loved working out hard like that. With Ds 2 I was actually my lowest conception weight (which is the typical pink sway advice), but I think I had high levels of testosterone.
Ds 3&4 I was a non smoking, but wine drinking, hard working, highly stressed work environment, had lost 2 babies right after we got married so conception was stressful. I ate VERY healthy - very balanced, maybe a little high in fat, every 2 hrs and again with Ds 4, I had lost a lot of weight (30 pounds) but it was from high intensity interval training - lots of strength and bursts of cardio, for a compact period, again, probably so much testosterone. I also drank a ton of red wine with ds3&4.
As far as timing goes, I tried to away pink shettles style but I had ov early. So I dtd on pos opk (one attempt - total girl sway).
I'm a bit of a mix match story with probably nothing conclusive to share EXCEPT maybe my diet.
I hope you get your boys. Would LOVE to trade off some boy dust for some girl dust ;p

Not sure if I have posted in here before but with ds1 and ds2 I dtd on smiley opk and day after whilst also using preseed. Ds3 conceived exactly on ov and most likely stressed to the hilt. Diet wise I actually think my diet has always been more girl friendly with the exception of less coffee and diet soda which I have only recently started enjoying. My ht journeys produced more female than male embryos overall which has given me the confidence that we can produce a female!

Hi All!
I never even knew of gender swaying with my boys so this is what I naturally did:

With both my boys I ate cereal every day for breakfast. I actually ate it for snacks too. Lots of cereal- I love it! Cheerios mostly, and sometimes Lucky Charms :)
I ate a lot of avocados (at least 1/2 avocado/day). Lots of various fruits and veggies. Dried salted seaweed (It's good! I swear)
Tons of salmon, halibut, mahi mahi, and poultry.
Protein shakes (whey Whole Foods brand) with bananas and peanut butter.
Eggs, fat-free milk, yogurt, and ice cream as a treat.
Processed boxed rice mixes, mac and cheese, white cheddar shells.
Bread-most of it white/processed. With my 2nd little guy I was eating healthier whole grain breads/pasta/etc.
Tons of sushi-this should really be it's own food group :)
I took a multi-vitamin (Don't remember the brand), and cod liver oil (Nordic Naturals).

I was at the gym all the time before my first doing cardio, classes, and strength training. With my 2nd I worked out but not as much. I was about 5lbs heavier when I got pregnant with him. I took a walk every night after dinner.

Boy #1 was born in Seattle Washington during the fall. We were newlyweds and had sex almost every day. I have no idea when I ovulated.
Boy#2 was born in Fort Worth Texas during the summer. I ovulated day 17, and we had had sex day 14,15,and 17.

Good luck to all you boy-swayers. Sending my blue dust!

I never planned any of my boys...with my first son I was pretty skinny when he was conceived...I lived on cereal and 2% milk...I hated skipping breakfast and had three meals a day plus snacks. My first two boys are 17 months apart so again no planning with ds 2.I was under a bit more stress when I conceived my second son. Still same eating patterns. With my third I had just found the ig site and was in the beginning stages of planning ttc a girl when I became pregnant with him...we had just moved back to Cali so months before his conception I was in the gym at least 5 days a week doing mainly weights and taking supplements for weight loss along with whey protein and some creatine. My diet changed to include more veggies and fish and chicken.

Good luck to you ladies and ALL of my blue dust to you!!

Just was looking at my old charts and I had noted the supps I was taking that swayed for a boy for DS2 and I didn't even know it. Was just trying to increase fertility. Was just starting to research a girl sway and conceived by accident. I hate saying "accident" because he is one of the best things that has ever happened to us! :)

Prenatal, vitamin D (large dosage), Fetilaid, DIM, green tea, B-6 and EPO.

I have two boys and now see that I had a pretty typical boy friendly lifestyle. Cereal for breakfast. Three balanced meals a day plus snacks in between. Lots of fruit, veg, meat and I LOVE carbs. I exercised moderately and always did weights. First son was conceived during a holiday where we DTD daily and son no2 was conceived soon after my period Finished and we only DTD once. Both times I had been off the contraceptive pill for many months and my PCOS acne was bad (high testosterone) I wish I had of found this site long ago. Here's hoping for a pink no.3 :DD:

I have always been a grazer. I would eat breakfast, 2 hours later have a snack, 2 hours later have lunch, then another snack, then dinner, and probably a snack before bed! My biggest downfall has always been chips. I would eat a snack sized bag of chips a day.. sometimes even a full sized bag. Doritos or potato chips.

I also was eating nuts or meat at all 3 meals, and sometimes nuts as a snack. (Protein heavy diet)- Which is actually funny to me because I was vegetarian before meeting my husband, and he turned me into a meat eater. Now here I am on the LE diet, avoiding meat for a pink sway.

Also I was not working out, or losing weight before getting pregnant with any of them. In fact right before getting pregnant with my 3rd son, I actually put on a couple of pounds. And they were all (TMI) conceived in missionary position

Hope that helps! Good luck! I hope you all get your blue bundles!

I've never swayed for my boys but I have three and knowing what I do now I can see why I have boys. I always have a high meat high protein diet, I'm huge into weight lifting and fitness in general, I've Always had ewcm, low dairy high caffeine diet soda ( I would drink at least six diet mt dew a day plus coffee) I would take a fitness multi vitamin plus protein powder. We dtd often the whole month and I always just went to bed after. I hoped for a girl last time but didn't know about swaying I wish I would have tried!

I have 2 boys and didn't even realize how boy friendly my life was. I always ate breakfast (cereal, toast and peanut butter). I was a HUGE milk drinker (like 1 full bag a day out of the 3 bags that you buy. At least a litre a day). I was also a big meat eater (lots of chicken, pork, fish and sometimes red meat). Big egg eater too. Ate 3 meals a day and snacked all day long. I was never much into exercise though, but clearly my diet was so boy friendly I didn't need the weigh lifting or strength training. Never was one for caffeine either.

Sending all my blue dust your way ladies.

With my first two boys (unplanned) I was eating out a lot, high calories, lots of sodium, regular soda, caffeine, lots of red meat, lots of sweets, sex varies from each boy... Both my boys were conceived on ovulation, I knew right away I cold be pregnant because back then I only knew it was around 14 days since my period... With boy 3 I took vitex, my cycles were super short and my calendar made no sense at all, it looks like I got pregnant right after my period!. I was juicing consistently, eating way healthier, lots of protein, lots of working out, still a lot of red meat, coffee, beer, lots of ewcm.

Thought I would add mine (no swaying involved)

My diet was very boy friendly! I'd eat breakfast everyday without fail...this would consist of very buttery toast or cereal of some kind. Loved my tea & coffee, snacked quite a bit, meat eater, eggs, salads (with lots of dressing & tomatoes), potatoes, bananas, garlic, onion, Thai green curry, takeaways, avocado, cheese, tuna etc. Love salty/starchy foods.

I'd very rarely drink fizzy drinks, don't really like them. I hardly drink water - which is bad.

I took folic acid before TTC
Had multiple attempts
Didn't use OPK
Didn't jump & dump
Big O Both times
Had EWCM
Had pillow under my bum & did cycling legs.

Husband and I are both non-smokers, rarely drink alcohol. Didn't exercise, but wasn't over weight! Husband is a tea drink too with two sugars!!

Hope this helps any of you. Good luck!

Just wanted to add my two cents! I had no idea how much I was swaying boy at the time, but here it goes! I started taking prenatals about a month before, and ate 3 full meals a day, snacking in between. Was gaining some weight.... had heard it was good to get pregnant. Ate lots of protein, worked out 4 times a week. Had myself some muscle (all gone now!!). DTD everyday too. Hope this helps!!

A quick and I'm sure silly question on protein/carbs.

Do we need to balance the protein and carbs every snack & meal
or
Do we just need to eat protein and carbs every snack & meal

Sorry, sometimes I wonder at my own stupidity and the silly questions !!

atomic sagebrush
November 6th, 2014, 10:40 AM
For blue, you need to just eat SOME protein and carbs at every meal. :) Some foods like nuts already have some of both and are a good snack. Others, like meat and eggs, are mostly protein and so you need to squeeze some carbs in. Some foods are all carbs and you need to at least try to sneak in a bit of protein (I don't start counting it till it's over 3 g per serving) IF you are in a situation where you can only have just carbs, that isn't a dealbreaker, just try to eat again pretty soon after the last time you ate so you avoid having a blood sugar crash.

It doesn't take much protein to counterbalance the carbs, and it takes even less carbs to balance he protein. If you eat both, even if it's just a little bit, it's all good and yoru blood sugar will stay stable longer after eating.

I have four boys so I'll add what I can think of. I always eat breakfast, always. Usually a bowl of cereal or whole wheat toast with gobs of all natural (no sugar added) peanut butter and butter. Not too big on red meat but I love bbq'd burgers and steak in the summer (two of my boys were conceived in summer). I'm huge on salt. Add it to everything and my favourite snack is a bag of chips/crisps or salty, buttery popcorn. I don't exercise consistently. I drink lots of water, never coffee, Pepsi rarely. When we conceived, we DTD daily around ovulation, I always stayed lying down afterwards and DH always ejaculated deep.
DH drinks a lot of coffee, 2-3 large cups/day. He doesn't work out but is physically fit, not overweight.

Hmm that's all I can think of for now. Please take my blue dust :-)

I have two boys and ate pretty much the same before getting pregnant with both of them. I almost always ate breakfast. Sometimes I didn't eat much but it was always something, such as cereal, yogurt with granola, oatmeal, eggs, or waffles. I remember eating a lot of almond meal waffles before getting pregnant with DS2 which are PACKED with protein---about 42g (if anyone wants the recipe, please let me know!). For lunch, I ate a lot of grilled chicken salad, fried egg sandwiches, and lunchmeat sandwiches and chips. For dinner, it was almost always meat like chicken or beef, a vegetable, and either rice or potatoes. I often had dessert too. I also had to snack a lot during the day because I have gastroparesis so while I get full easily, I get hungry more quickly. Eating several small meals a day was also what I had to do because I have GERD. I was not exercising when I got pregnant with my boys although I had lost about ten pounds a few months prior to getting pregnant with DS2. I was underweight when I got pregnant with DS2 and a healthy weight with DS1. I also religiously took my prenatal vitamins for a year before getting pg with DS1 and with DS2, I was not taking prenatals but I was taking folic acid, vitamin D, vitamin b12, vitamin b6, and cod liver oil. I also ate lots of healthy fats like avocado, olive oil, and nuts. I should note I ate gluten free (still do) because of Celiac disease. I also ate a lot of dairy, especially milk, sour cream, and cheese.

Oh, I should also mention I gave up caffeine before conceiving DS1, but with DS2 I was drinking a cup of coffee a day. We also used preseed both times we conceived and DTD multiple times around ovulation. DH took l-carnitine both times as well as a multivitamin. He was also exercising regularly (lots of cardio and lifting weights).

Hi girls, I am new but thought I would give all my blue dust to everyone on the ttc boy sway:babym: I myself have 2 boys o my own and a step son so I know all things boys. Before I got pregnant I was %100 on the boy diet without really knowing it. I am a small person but I love fast food so I would eat out 2-3 times a week for my lunch break and get a burger and really salted fries! I NEVER drank any alcohol but did drink lots of orange juice. I always took my prenatal vitamins for about a month or more before I was ttc and even though I'm small I was at my heaviest weight right before both of my pregnancies. I also had a 3-2 day cut off with both of them as I thought this was the only thing to sway back then! Oh and I NEVER had any sweets I love salty foods like chips and loaded nachos. Hope this helps out!!!

First Kid: I kept track of my cycles, which were very regular. I was afraid I'd have trouble conceiving, so we BDed on precise ovulation day, after several days of abstinence. Plenty of EWCM and Os, then I stuck my legs up on the wall to keep the swimmers from falling out. (Dh laughed his head off.) We went out to dinner all the time, and I was gaining weight. Meals of steak, prime rib, beef ribs, hamburgers, and tons of salt. Also lots of pasta and cheese, but around this time we switched to soy milk, so I was drinking less milk than usual. Result: Boy on the first try.

Second kid: tracking cycle. Thought of trying to do a cut off to try for a girl, but chickened out and did the same timing as first one, without worrying about position or swimmers falling out. Still eatin beef several times a week and lots of salty, processed foods and sweets. Result: Boy on first try.

Third kid: still breastfeeding second kid. AF had not started again, so dh and I were careless. My diet was still rich, and I hadn't lost baby weight from ds2 yet. Result: Suprize pregnancy. It wasn't a good time, but we went with it hoping for a girl. When u/s showed boy, I hid and cried.

Fourth try.... Turned to ivf with PGD. But now I wish I tried the noninvasive methods earlier.

Thought I would add how I got my 2 handsome boys! I conceived DS 1 one year after getting married. I was at a good weight. I didn't have a gender preference and I didn't know you could sway anyway. Everything was boy friendly! Diet was high sodium, high nutrient. I had been on prenatal vitamins for a year. TMI... dtd on ovulation, lots of ewcm/wet, always had at least 1 big O, and jokingly did a headstand after and propped hips.
With DS 2 I wanted my little guy to have a brother but still didn't know about swaying. We had one attempt day of O (Maybe even 8-12 hours AFTER O) but everything else was the same as first time and I was about 12 pounds heavier.
I never realized how much I "swayed" boy until I learned about swaying! I also have hypothyroidism and PCOS. I was on metformin and synthroid. Hubby's family hasn't had a girl in 32 years! He has 2 brothers and a sister. The 5 grandkids on his side- all boys!
All of my BLUE dust I am passing on to you lovely ladies :bluecheer:

I had my boy by insemination. I'm totally convinced that IUI sways blue. I have three friends who did insemination too. One of them was pregnant with a boy, the other with twins boys and only one was pregnant with a girl. I think insemination sways blue.
Atomic I would like to know your opinion about it as the expert you are. Do u agree or not? Do u have statistics about IUI and gender?

I totally agree that IUI sways blue, and I have statistics from one study done on timing (they're somewhere on here) where everyone who wanted a boy was given IUI on O day, and they got overwhelmingly boys. Of course they took that to mean timing sways, but tons of other studies have totally debunked that, so that leaves the IUI as swaying blue. (hope that makes sense, a bit hard to explain!)

I have two DS. I didn't sway for either of my boys but I do know that with DS2 I ate a lot of meat, and snacked a lot, drank a lot of coffee, and I was in nursing school so under a lot of stress (not sure if that sways or not). We also ate a lot of take out and fast foods for convenience. DH wears boxer briefs, works in construction industry around a lot of dust, drinks a lot of coffee, no pop, eats a lot of red meat. With DS2 I had a copper IUD in when I got pregnant and I have hypothyroidism. Since we didn't plan the pregnancy I don't know what my levels were at the time. With DS1 we ate out a lot as well. I track my cycle but I do know I've always had a lot of CM. Hope that helps. Diet seems to be a big factor for me and maybe the coffee. But I've heard of coffee swaying for both so um kind of confused about that part since I didn't drink a lot of coffee with DS1.

Before I had ds1 which was 13 years ago.lol, I never used to eat my first meal till late...although I think I was having my tea around 11-12.00 at night. I can remember eating quite a lot but not putting weight on. I had pot noodles, ready meals, pizza, don't think I ate loads of meat.never had diet Pepsi.I can remember missing meals quite a lot.ds2 which was 9 year ago was pretty much the same.I always went out every weekend and Got plastered.lol. the good old days. Typically 'crap' is high in cals and fat so even skipping meals it could sway blue. Plus you may just be inherently very healthy and fertile, both of which sway blue. Sooo many boy moms seem to be able to eat a lot without gaining weight and I think that is linked. Something about a high metabolism seems to sway strongly blue, plus of course eating a lot in itself sways blue!

Swaying (at least on the Gender Dreaming site) is NOT the "light switch, magic bullet" approach where if you do X,Y,Z you are then guaranteed a child of a particular gender. http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/25293-three-essays-swaying.html We are about optimizing chances. THere are no light switches, or magic bullets. People can and do get boys or girls eating right off the other gender's diet plans all the time. We are just aiming for what is going to work best for most of the people, most of the time. We are getting good results for pink, great results for blue doing so. In the end, it has to do with what your body 'decided' to do with the messages you send it (not only in diet, but in many arenas in life) and also sheer dumb luck.

Thought I would add to this. I have one boy who I didn't sway for and am now swaying for pink. I conceived in January and was consuming a lot of food and wine as it was my birthday week. I ate tonnes of red meat, chicken, potatoes and tomatoes. Not much veggie stuff, rice or milk. I was also drinking loads of coffee and alcohol and had gained weight prior to conception. I snacked often and ate big meals however have always been a healthy weight (not my figure to ever be fat luckily). I also took prenatals for about a year before conceiving and bd often in the run up to O but with a 2 day cut off (not intentionally). I had loads of ewcm for about a week that month too.

Trying hard to lose weight now but it's proving difficult. Am managing to lower ph through food though and skipping breakfast is not an issue. Please send some pink dust my way :)
Good luck blue swayers. Did anyone find their cm dry up a lot on the girl diet?

Thanks I will gladly take all the pink dust thrown my way! It's so interesting how different this thread is to the one one the Ttc a girl forum. It's shows how lifestyle and diet habits really do play a part. I just worry that I'm not changing enough or that it won't be long enough before we conceive. I also worry that I will feel disappointed if we have a boy next and wI'll blame myself for not changing enough. I love my son so much so hopefully it would be the same with another son I just can't see it yet.

Hi ladies, I posted on here a long time ago after having DS2. In April 2013 I conceived DS3 after following the LE girl diet. However, although I followed the diet for a few months and it was a complete change to my usual I did cheat I did feel the diet working (I was certainly calmer) but I don't think I was on it for long enough.
I am back again hoping for DC4, a DD. I can't believe how boy friendly my diet has become again! I eat 3 regular meals a day, whole meal bread, pasta, brown rice, cook all meals from scratch, maximum veggies where possible, most meals accompanied with potatoes, no diet foods or drinks, all water or fresh juice.

For moms of boys or those whose have successfully swayed boy, do you think you have to add weight with the HE diet? Or can you maintain your weight? If gaining is the best way , how many lbs? And if I ever could go HT, doyou think it would be a good idea to follow a boy sway plan anyway just for good measure?
I have been an exercise maniac and fear gaining weight but if I can ever convince my husband to try for my much wished for son, I was wondering if a few lbs is good enough.

atomic sagebrush
March 5th, 2015, 01:31 PM
I think that anyone of below or normal weight, it really helps to gain a bit. It doesn't have to be gobs, just 3-5 lbs can really help. If you're underweight, you may want to go more like 10-15. But if you are doing the program right, you'll be lifting weights at the same time and this will help you add muscle instead of fat. You may end up looking slimmer even if you weigh more.

For those who are overweight, I try to have them stay where they are and lift weights to hopefully trade lbs. of fat for lbs. of muscle.

In this thread I have a set of diet instructions for blue swayers going HT http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/9052-swaying-under-special-circumstances-part-3-pcos.html 5 posts from the top and you'll follow the directions that are in GREEN

With DS1 we were on honeymoon in the US and DTD like rabbits :giggle: I lay down after most times with my legs in the air and cushion under my bum. We may have been on honeymoon but I was so ready to be pregnant! We ate big meals and snacked lots, I can't remember what we ate specifically but lots of steak and fries and burgers for sure. I put on a little weight, maybe 5/6lbs?
With DS2 we were once again away on holidays in the US and we roughly followed the Sperm meets Egg plan which is every second day from CD6. I Oed later than usual that cycle so it was CD18 when I got +OPK, we DTD that morning and flew home the next day so that was the last day we DTD that cycle. Again I lay down after each try with legs in the air and hips elevated slightly. As for food I was once again eating lots of red meat and eating breakfast every day. Lots of snacking. Lots and lots of walking as we were at Disney World, no other exercise. I gained a little weight again, maybe less than 5lbs. I was taking folic acid every day for about 6 months prior to TTC. We got lucky first time on both boys. FXed for some pink dust later this year. Hope this can help some blue TTCers :babym:

I always had a very healthy diet, took a lot of supps even before tcc, including EPO and fish oil. Drink lots of green tea, walked everywhere ( no car for most of my adult life.) had an abundance of EWCM before conceiving my first but didn't notice much with my second ( I was also still breastfeeding but he was close to 2 years old).

I have always been naturally thin but gained 10 lbs the year I conceived DS1 because my job went from active constant movement to sitting in front of a desk all day. Was eating more and snacking a lot at my desk. I have always ate a lot of cereal.

Was DTD very often both times I conceived. Also, my husband is 10 years younger than me. I think he had a very high sperm count/high fertility both times.

I'm also a control freak and an obsessive worrier but I think I am letting go of some of this. I also have a higher education which I heard means more boys but I'm know plenty of educated moms have girls. My husband and I also get along very well and rarely fight. Not to say that makes a difference but I've heard that having a stressful relationship may be more likely to result in a girl. I could be wrong on all counts just things I've read.

I'm just saying all those factors combined probably made my specific case more boy friendly.

I also had no car with DS 1 and 2 and walked everywhere, and DS 3 I had a job at a dog kennel that required a lot of walking. Was outside daily walking with all three conceptions - lots of Vit. D.

It isn't always about things we did intentionally or specifically, it is often about just incidental things that we don't even realize we are doing!

I have two boys and I did not sway for either of them, I was just trying to get pregnant! I am starting a girl sway soon, and let me tell you, everything I read in the boy sway sounds like me! If there is anything to the eating cereal to get boys hypothesis, this is me. I love cereal, I eat it once if not twice a day. Giving it up is going to be really hard! And I always eat breakfast. I was always eating very healthy, lots of omega 3's, avocado, whole grains, nuts, moderately working out, not losing weigh, eating 3 meals and 2 snacks, fish, some red meat, high sodium foods like Indian food. I weigh around 115-120 lbs and am 5'6, so I am slim, but again, I was not working out very hard. I have always had muscle in my legs and arms. I am pretty sure we conceived on O day with lots of attempts up until the day of O.

Ds1 - ky jelly. Pull out method as we were not ttc, worked full time at a bank, going to college full time, recently bought a new car, in hindsight dtd on o day happened to be around a full moon early dec. Was not a breakfast eater. Was trying natural family planning to avoid pg but even 60 days after stopping bc no temp pattern emerged then whammo 18 plus days of high temps. Never any nausea nor food aversions during pregnancy.

Ds2- 16 hrs between last meal of the day and first meal, working full time in accounts payable, taking full course load in college, not as recent as last time but again paying on a new car, zumba and treadmill cardio, very low calorie intake, cod liver oil, dchiroinositol, and bovine thyroid had been my am routine for 5 yrs so added 1tsp flaxoil which may have done something (only "evidence" for no children after first ds cyst on ovaries but since look textbook healthy docs wont run labs and 12hr fasted glucose 78 or 79 and even 1 to 4 hrs after eating reads 78 or 79) never prevented as i had previously been told i may never have another child so also didnt chart and had no idea where i was in the cycle this son was conceived. In hindsight it was in feb cd26 o day, afternoon, jump up and go to zumba right after dh on top while dtd. Ironically this hubs had been a drunk and drug user and smoker for 20 yrs of his life but was within 6 mths of celebrating 10yrs of sobriety. He eats mostly white processed carbs, red meat, fruit, and dairy. He doesnt like veggies. This pregnancy i had tremendous "morning" sickness and aversion to all meat and wanted everything bland. Before conception i daily drank coffee.

I thought I would add my diet from when I conceived my boys to try and help you ladies; I would have peanut butter on toast every morning (would have a thick layer of clover on my toast as well as the peanut butter, yum lol) and would have a cup of tea with a few chocolate biscuits with it, for lunch I would usually have a sandwich (usually cheese, ham or peanut butter) again with a thick layer of clover (I love that stuff, can you tell? Lol.) would have a bag of crisps and a chocolate bar with that, then for tea I would have jacket potato (sometimes with baked beans and cheese, sometimes with salad), pasta, chicken, fries or some sort of frozen ready meal (lasagna, spag bol, curry etc) to which I would always add masses of mayonnaise and my salt of choice (before swaying pink) which was sea salt. I would always take a cup of tea to bed and a few biscuits or a chocolate bar to go with it. I also worked nights and was usually awake for 36 hours 2 times a week (couldn't sleep in the days either side of my night shift due to having my other children to look after) so twice a week I would be snacking constantly for those 36 hours just to get me through, spam and fries was my main meal during my hours at work. We would also eat out a lot, kfc and McDonald's being the main restaurants we would frequent. We did not bd regularly, we weren't actively trying to conceive just ntnp, but my diet was so boy friendly that was clearly not an issue. I had ample amounts of ewcm. Hope that helps. I found a couple of old MFP entries from the few months before we conceived DS2. It's a very typical "boy diet." I thought I'd post it here in hopes it'll help those ttc'ing blue and are in need of meal ideas. :D

Breakfast: Coffee with 1/2 cup almond milk and a 1/2 cup of oatmeal
Lunch: Turkey and cheddar cheese sandwich w/ tablespoon olive oil mayo and a handful of BBQ potato chips
Dinner: (kind of a weird dinner but boy friendly nonetheless!;)) 1 cup oil popped popcorn, 1/2 cup yogurt with blueberries and raspberries (I ate this a lot), salted pistachios, 2 cups of 2% milk, 1 apple
Totals: 1471 cals, 165g carbs, 48g fat, 53g protein

Breakfast: 1/2 cup oatmeal, coffee with 1/2 cup almond milk, blueberries, raspberries with low fat yogurt, 1 hard boiled egg
Lunch: 4 oz chicken breast, 1 cup spinach, 2 tbsp parmesan, 2 oz brown rice fettucine pasta
Dinner: Ground beef and bean chili, shredded cheddar, handful of tortilla chips
Snack: handful of almonds
Totals: 1422 cals, 206g carbs, 49g fat, 85(!)g protein

Hope this helps!

Hi everyone I am new on this forum but have stalked it for so long I thought I should finally get involved and contribute :0).
I knew nothing of swaying when I conceived my son, just wanted to get pg and conceived 1st attempt. Dtd 3x in 4 days (Thursday, Saturday, Sunday- all am) and according to u/s conceived on the Tuesday. I had big o each time and propped hips. My diet consisted of porridge with raisins and honey or eggs and bacon sarnies on a weekend. Big salads at lunch of salmon, walnut bread and potato salad or tuna Nicoise with loads of olives / Greek salad with olives and tomatoes - always with wholemeal bread! Dinners were steak and chips, ham,egg and chips, spaghetti Bol or meatballs with garlic bread, lamb chops or klefticowith potatoes, roast dinners with all trimmings, sausages! I loved meat and basically ate same size portions as OH despite being 5.2 and 9st 3lb :0). I also drank 4 cups of tea a day, 2l of water, drank lots of red/white wine and walked 3 miles a day. I hope this helps you boy swayers - I can see now that my body must have been very boy friendly and probably very fertile and healthy! Good luck to everyone conceiving their DG. This is a very stressful journey and I am currently 37 yo and 8+2 hoping for a girl (last child) although will love another boy either way!

Cgsrr, I wanted to answer your question from the other thread here (sorry it was getting a little far afield)

You asked WHY if one attempt sways, is both pink and blue sways with one attempt getting similar results.

It is because the OLD outdated Shettles method for blue required one attempt. So the people who have gotten boys in the "add your sway" boy section, were not ONLY doing one attempt, but were doing that along with many other blue friendly things to sway. The PINK swayers (which btw is a MUCH bigger sample size and the statistics are much more reliable) were doing one attempt along WITH pink diet, etc. YOu simply can't compare numbers across the boards like that. We aren't doing a study here, every single person in those sway stats was doing several things to sway and we are looking at the overall trends and not for "magic bullets".

If you do ONE thing for TTC a girl, stick with that one attempt. Our numbers have done nothing but improve dramatically since we started doing that.

Thanks for taking the time to reply atomic. I'm afraid it's too late for me now and is up to fate! I found the information about one attempt after I had attempted so after having a few tearful moments I just have to wait and see now.

If I could turn back the clock I would definitely do one attempt having seen the stats however I didn't. OH released for 6 days straight and then we bd for 8 days straight with the last one being on the day of the positive opk. I'm pretty sure I ovulated the same day as positive or the following morning.

All attempts were IR, missionary, no big o, at around 11pm at night. I had ewcm but have to hope that fate was on my side. I didn't bother with sudafed or antihistamine as sudafed makes me feel truly dreadful and non drowsy antihistamine makes me feel dreadful the following day! I tried both in previous attempts and threw up after the sudafed and didn't sleep all night! At 37 / 39 we were not willing to abstain and I wanted to be pregnant immediately (January and February were one attempt and 3 attempts respectively with cut off but I ovulated late both times and missed the egg). I was really upset and frustrated at not catching and was definitely more obsessive these first two months. I was also not checking ph as I knew it would become an unhealthy obsession and at the end of the day we are trying to sway the odds but our ultimate goal is pregnancy. I wasn't going to douche, give myself a uti and potentially kill the sperm so figured it wasn't worth the stress.

I lost 12lb over the 3 months and was 8st 7lb when I conceived so hopefully other things helped. I was following the old style IG girl sway I guess, lots of calcium, almonds, cashews, rasberries, broccoli, vegetable stir frys, no red meat in 4 months, chicken, fish or prawns only couple of times a week. Rice cakes, cucumber, cream cheese, cottage cheese and salad and loads of risotto or pasta dishes with mushrooms, leeks, peas and cream fraiche. You can see how different this diet was to my boy diet above :0)! I took 10000mg cranberry tablets, 800mg folic but cut the calcium and magnesium the month I conceived after reading it could go the other way. I was on those supps for 7 months. I also figured I was getting enough in my diet through food. Drinks were peppermint tea, skinny chai tea latte 1x per day with extra cinnamon on top, cranberry, water and wine on a weekend.

I never skipped breakfast - can't do it as I start feeling nauseous however this swapped from a large bowl of porridge with honey and raisins to frozen rasberries, blueberries, fat free organic yogurt and few almonds. I lost weight with this diet even though I was probably eating very healthily given the amount of vegetables I was eating. I also walked 4 miles a day but no other exercise.

Looking back I can see this wasn't a perfect sway but it was different to when I conceived my boy so I'm hoping that may mean something. I am up numerous times per night with my son so not rested at all. I would also add, my oh was between jobs (he has a high powered job normally with many staff) so was relaxed, had time to release regularly and his testosterone was probably lower for this reason (I hope). He told me he was nowhere near as stressed at normal which meant we had the time to bd! He took cranberry, multivitamin, folic, calcium and ate pretty much the same as me but with tons more sweet stuff!

I used lavender everything, aerosol deodorant, conceived in a girl moon, in April on a girl critical day in girl biorhythum for what all that stuff is worth (it was wrong for my son on all counts but my heavy boy diet may override that stuff!)

When we conceived our son we did not bd regularly and he didn't release regularly (1 or 2 x per week). Since January he probably released 5x per week min as I told him to keep a fresh supply going :0).

As I say now I read some of the more modern research on GD I worry about my sway but as my oh says - we're pregnant so we must feel very grateful for that as not everyone falls as quickly and easily at our age. This is a fabulous forum and I wish I had found the modern research before my sway but hey. I will update you all after the scan if anything to continue to help your stats and see what works for others as my sway may be different to what your perfect sway would look like ( especially skipping breakfast and one attempt). I have a 50/50 chance I guess! Best of luck to everyone! X

PLEASE, PLEASE don't worry, CG, releasing for 6 days and then 8 days BD before positive OPK can STILL sway pink.

You had a TON of stuff going for you. REmember, there is no right or wrong way to do this and many ways to get a girl. Even with the bluest of the blue sways, we still get about 20% opposites with our blue sways.

Sending you all my pink dust!

I have two boys without swayng... Breakfast coffee with biscuits or croissants. Sandwich at lunch and dinner with pasta, pizza or meat. Few vegetables and fruit. Many snaks with chocolate and before bed chips. Im very thin and did not mind to diet.
I drink 2/3 liters of water per day . Lavande with water and baking soda after bdt to prevent infection. My gin gave me a vaginal cream to put before bdt. I discover now this cream has a ph 8,5 . We bdt after positive opk every day for a week.I hope this can help. Good luck.

I have two boys. I was the crazy, OCD planner. I used OPK but we would BD before and after O, 4 times at a minimum. We DTD doggie style with both boys.

No special supplements, just prenatal vitamins.

I would make hubby start wearing boxers before TTC.

I do not remember everything about my diets but I know I wasn't eating healthy and I'm a terrible eater naturally so I'm sure I was eating tons of hearty foods.

We used pressed as a lubricant.

DS1 was conceived the end of November. DS2 was conceived mid June.

I guess that's about all! Oh how I love my boys!

Hi I'm new but I thought I'd post what my situation was when I got my boys.

For my first, I was very young and stick thin but Was putting on weight at the time. I was a fussy eater when it came to vegetables but I ate regularly 3x square meals and lots of snacks. No exercise.

For my 2nd. I was just starting to put weight on. At the time I remember i had very heavy periods also. I ate ok-ish. Lots of savoury stuff. No excercise after I had been exercising regularly.

For my 3rd I was not overweight but not overly slim (for me) so in the middle. I ate well and regular, a wide variety of healthy food and junk food.

Before I had my 3rd son, I had never dieted in my life. I have never been a dairy person (I didn't eat cheese really till I was around 24 and didn't even have butter on bread!). I'd never taken vitamins of any kind and only exercised on and off. Never really sticking to it. I was quite sedentary. Not any major stresses in my life. I wasn't a huge caffeine fan (unlike now) and I didn't have any health issues.

Hope this helps x

:agree: good question, I ate tons of mayo made of the absolute cheapest gross oil ever when I got my DD! :p

It's interesting bc in the US, 99.99% of mayo is made with canola or soy oil. Even organic ones. There is ONE single brand of safflower oil mayo in the US.

Here in Germany, most mayo is made with sunflower oil but there are a couple canola ones and an olive oil one. No soy that I've seen. So I wonder what it is like in the UK.

Hello, newbie to GD :) I am planning for #2 and will be swaying pink but #1 was a little man so I figured I would toss my boy story into the hat. I knew the details of swaying and desired a boy for my first but was not intentionally doing too much to sway except for timing. After you read my background you will understand that I just wanted to get pregnant since my obstacles could have made it troublesome to conceive.

Background: PCOSer of 15 yrs + insulin resistance. Left unicornuate uterus w/ left tube only (I have both ovaries). Got off b/c in June of 2013, found out about my uterine anomaly in July 2013 (consulted w/ an RE before TTC due to PCOS), started trying in Sept. 2013, natural pregnancy in October 2013. Had my son at 29 wks exactly due to PPROM b/c of my uterus maxing capacity. Bumpy road with a long NICU stay in the beginning but he is now a funny, feisty, thriving 14 month old.

My diet prior to and while TTC was high in protein. Breakfast was a spinach, almond milk, PB, banana smoothie with maca powder, flax & chia (sweetened with truvia) and a breakfast sandwich. Ate lots of hearty salads with a protein for lunch and protein, starch (usually potato), veggie for dinner. I am not pasta, white bread, white rice eater, but I am a snacker. I graze a lot. I love cheese but other than that and maybe the almond milk, I was not taking in a lot of calcium. I am also a big lemon water drinkers and spicy/pickled food lover. A majority of the above mentioned was always organic.

Additional details: yoga or working out 2-3 times per week, taking prenatals 3 months prior to trying to conceive, on 2000mg of metformin, did castor oil pack + uterine massage 3x before ovulation the months I got pregnant. Carried a rose quartz stone in my purse and had a St. Gerard pendant pinned in my bra. Ate pineapple in my TWW for implantation. Was at my heaviest weight when I got pregnant (size 16/18). Not dieting, not losing but eating fairly healthy and abundant.

Sex was the day before and day of ovulation (confirmed w/ OPK, EWCM and RE visit). Missionary position both times, one with one without orgasm. Laid in bed with hips slightly elevated for 15 min after intercourse each time. Had ridiculous amount of wet EWCM. As my husband describes it "the slip and slide." Knew I was pregnant before my BFP (confirmed 14 dpo via blood labs with RE) and knew just by instinct it was a boy before anatomy scan (confirmed 19 wks).

For me: I did not intentionally eat a certain way, the diet mentioned was my norm. I never did anything with ions, the moon, sex at a certain time of day, cervical position, deeper penetration sex positions, never checked ph etc. Chinese gender predictor was wrong. I will be doing a little more for my girl sway since my natural diet and habit put me in boy territory. Hopefully it works out. Thinking pink!

Not really sure my diet was too boy friendly but I have two, didn't sway for either of them but I'll try and add what I know to be true for my lifestyle back then. I never ate breakfast. I have always been a huge chocolate fan and ate loads. Before ds1 I'd have salt on most things but after I had him I stopped adding salt to anything. Before ds1 we were both big drinkers but after I had him I never really drank again. Never been a big exerciser. I used to work in a pub though so was on my feet a lot anyway. Drank lots of coke and lived off coffee. Diet was never that healthy tbh.
As far as conceiving goes my first was an accident, we didn't mean to but we did do it about 4 times in one night. The second we did it every night for about a week during my fertile week. I judged solely on cm. It was spring when we conceived ds1. Summer for ds 2. If I remember anything else I will add. It's hard though as we weren't swaying at the times so hard to remember the details! Oh for ds2 we were both taking those vitamins you take for conceiving. Cannot for the life of me remember what they were called though. Came in a pack with two bottles. One for women one for men.

Ooh! I orgasmed every time with ds2. Not sure if that helped. Can't remember with ds1. It was 5 years ago

We want the honest truth of what people were actually doing and eating when they got boys, whether or not it "meshes" with the advice on the site. Thanks for sharing your experience!

mandy, what kind of oil does the mayo you eat/ate contain, do you know?

I really couldn't tell you to be honest, I never really looked that closely at what I was eating. I would have any old mayo though, never a set brand. I will have a look to see if I have any in the cupboard and will update :-)
