How often should husband release month of TTC a boy?

Hi Ladies,

I'm a bit confused on this issue, is it frequent release or abstain for TTC a boy? We're hoping to try next month so want to be a bit clearer on this matter.

It's neither, those are both pink sway tactics.

Have DH release every 2-4 days for as long in advance before your sway as is feasible. This produces max. numbers of nice healthy sperm.

Yes, because sperm take 72 days to form and DTD every 2-4 days is ideal for sperm health.

Great...my husband wants to do it every day at the moment. I've got to get him to slow down! Only 1 week til our attempt and he's been releasing daily over the past 3 days!

Yes...you CAN get pregnant like that :) The schedule isn't about timing for conception, but having LOTS of swimmers in there to meet the egg. He doesn't need to wear a condom. Be careful with his frequent release, though, you could be headed into girl territory.

No condom. Think of it this way - You regularly put sperm inside your uterus and felopian tubes so there is always sperm just waiting for the egg to pop out, you get your + opk and put a ton more sperm in there so there is a maximum amount when the egg is released and that is what we rely on to sway boy.

Ok so what about when I'm not attempting like for the time being I could use condoms etc.. And when I in my cycle of attempt we let him release inside of me making sure we DTD every 2-4days so Monday DTD then Thursday and so on trying to make sure we stick to every 2-4days and avoid frequent release .. And then soon as I get my +opk go for gold and do 3more attempts in that fertile window?? But again there is chance of falling preggers with the previous releases is that right ? But I believe AS says timing doesn't sway isn't it

afy you only fall pregnant after you ovulate, so the main aim is to get as much sperm in waiting for that to happen, and the best way is to DTD every 2-3 days then 3 times at O.

LOL this reminds me of myself off to the toilet i would pop right after DTD .. When TTC my DD at this time had no idea about swaying and ovulation etc lol..

3 days in a row doesn't make or break anything, it's many days in a row.

You can get pg from sperm deposited before ovulation, but remember that more sperm = more boys and you can't get pg before the egg comes out, so you will have added a ton more sperm to the mix from your 3 attempts after pos opk.

Yep, don't do that for a boy - just lay there and go to sleep if you can, give it 15-30 min if you can't.
