I also took it with my first sway which resulted in a girl. I didn't take it for this second pink sway and don't know the gender yet as I'm only 11 wks.

Atomic, do probiotics sway Pink? I have been taking them b/c my LO was on antibiotics and wanted her to get the probiotics through my breastmilk. I'm TTC BOY in two weeks. Should I skip them? I have my DH on them just because :)

Just fine! :)

You need to take them for BOTH pink and blue sways. They can be either pink or blue friendly depending on what else you're doing to sway and also we need them to prevent yeast infections which can be worse when swaying.

yes and in fact he SHOULD! We are not seeing anywhere near the number of YI that there were on IG - the probiotics are helping A LOT.

Atomic,

Do you still recommend probiotics for boy sways? I have been eating heaps of greek yoghurt. I hope this won't affect my sway.

Yes, I definitely recommend it for blue sways. For pink sways, we've had some poor results with the probiotics and have dropped them (altho always a great idea to take DURING pregnancy)

Yogurt is a great food for a blue sway. Try to get full fat yogurt rather than skim

Sorry dumb qu - how does acidophilus sway? I'm not taking it but is it not the same as having a tub of yogurt a day?

We used to think acidophilus/probiotic could lower pH and sway pink, but we were getting just awful stats on it - the only thing that was running less than 50-50. I was also including it for blue sways (back on IG blue swayers had terrible trouble with yeast infection) and we are getting 70-80% success for blue with people taking it. So I have to conclude on the basis of those two things that acidophilus actually sways BLUE probably by helping your body to use nutrients better or making nutrients that help blue sways.

Yogurt is different because unlike acidophilus/probiotic supps which are designed to pass thru the stomach and not dissolve till it hits your intestines, yogurt goes into the stomach acid and most of the beneficial critters are killed before they ever make it into your intestines where they can do any good.

Short version - acidophilus and other probiotics better for BLUE. Yogurt ok for both

It never comes down to one thing like that.

I doubt it makes much difference at all, all pink swayers onIG take it.

Confusing, but that probably comes from reading too much of IG Forums.

Always thought that Acidophilus swayed pink until I found it recommended in your Amazon store.

Trying to sway Blue, you mention above it depends what you are taking with them - so what else is good along with them for TTC Blue?

Had used some previously (around 1 year ago) and always kept them refrigerated - think it may have increased their potency by doing this but not sure if that is a good thing or not? :S

Yogurts - full fat - should these be the probiotic type or is that normal yogurt? Any kind of yogurt that need to be avoided?

Would a probiotic including acidophilus and other strains be best for blue?

Ladies, I try very hard to answer all questions in forums but occasionally one gets past me. If you don't get a reply in a reasonable amount of time (7 days or so) please bump your posts.

Acidophilus and all probiotics 110% sways blue. Not only for the reasons I have laid out above but also because several of our subsequent pink sways that made opposites were using the acidophilus. I was trying to reassure the lady who became pregnant while taking it (she did have a boy though with that sway) but I do not recommend it for any pink swayers and only for blue.

I think full fat yogurt is great for blue. Any kind of full fat yogurt. it's not for the probiotics (since stomach acid kills a lot of the microbes in the yogurt, for the blue effects you need the supp form that is designed to only activate in your intestines) but because it's that "magic" dairy fat that seems to really boost fertility and sways blue that way.

I do not know what strains are best for blue. I believe based on our results that ALL probiotics sway blue.
