Yes they let you choose. But do only 5 probe fish not 8 probe!!!!

You say do 5-probe. But if you do a 8- probe is more secure that you have healthy eggs no? I MEAN (there is a forum-girl now I don't remember which one) that say that if you do 8- probe if they analyce the first 5 and they find that there are not healthy eggs then they don't analyce the rest 3, WHY DO YOU THINK THIS IS NOT OK?? Because this it means that the eggs are not good so why you need to analyce the rest 3 ?? Sorry but I don't understand. You prefer that they analyce 5 (That it means 3 + X and Y) and if the others 3 that you can analyce with the 8 probe are defective:think::think: then you have a baby with problems no?? Sorry I'm a litte bit confused.:think:

With fish technique testing there is always a chance of fals positive. That means they think the embryo is not healthy but in fact it is healty. So if they think the embryo was not healthy they will throw him away wich is not good if he was healthy. So then you have less embryos. The 5 things they test are the "most important" things with genderselection and health....

If you want to make sure your baby is "100 percent healty" then you ave to go to dr Potter in the US. He uses another technique (Natera/GSN) and he tests all the 24 chromosomes. With that technique you don't have false positive results.

The test says it is not healthy (but the test is wrong) and in fact the embryos is healthy. Fish test is not always accurate.

They can only test 5 probes at a time. So, with 8 probe, they wash the cell and start again applying the other 3 dyes. It's an outdated test. It fails often.
