How to get extra ultrasound?

I just had my 12 wk check up with a normal sonogram. Didn't get a good nub shot. Where could I go to get another ultrasound this week. I figured a 13 wk nub could only be better right? We have a prenatal imaging place but I think they'll only do it at 15 wks to determine gender early. I just don't know if I can wait. I really wish I had a good nub shot to guess on right now while I wait. This is really driving me nuts! Haha!

I think it's a pretty small window for nub theory, and 13 weeks is cutting it pretty close. The next best window is potty shot time, 16 - 18 weeks.

I don't know where you are, but in Canada we can always pay for an elective u/s...you can definitely get an excellent nub shot and from my experience, the techs in the private clinics are a little more willing to give it a guess. GL!

Have a look if there are any mobile ultrasound places in your town, or even ultrasound schools sometimes they need volenteers.

I thought as long as you got a good nub shot before 14 wks? I am having an elective gender scan at 16 weeks at my doctor's office. I just can't wait 3 more weeks! Lol! I'm going nuts! Haha! I'm waiting on a prenatal imaging place to call me back & see what they say. Thank you!!!! :)

You are right, the nub is the best way to guess gender from 12-14 weeks (and I still like side shots of the genitals even after that point as extra assurance along with the potty shots). I hope you can get in for another scan :)

I made an appointment for Dec 6 when I'll be 3 days shy of 15 weeks. I was going to go tomorrow but I'm afraid of hearing the wrong guess & would obsess over it until I could get a definite answer. Oh I'm so tired of obsessing & this anxiety is killing me. I pray I hear healthy girl!
