Girl mums have acne during pregnancy?

Hi, not sure where to put this.

Just wondering, with this pregnancy I have a lot of acne. Not so much on my face, just one or two here or there, which is usual for me. But all over my back, shoulders, chest (breasts) I have quite a lot acne. So for tmi. It isn't pretty. I've never had this before! Not even during puberty. Certainly never had it while pregnant with my boys.

Does anyone have any experience with this happening with girl pregnancies?

I did with my DD! My skin was HORRIBLE and my mum (who's had 5 girls) said her skin was just the same with each of us. With both my DS my skin was clear throughout the pregnancy (which it never is!)

I didnt really have acne with DD until the last month my face blew out with them all over. This time i am experiencing lots more along my jaw line, forehead, back and chest :(

I am the same as Cinss. But I didn't get a single spot when I was pregnant with DD. This time around I am getting small bump in the skin type spots all over my forehead and chin.

i normally have acne but when pregnant with both ny sons it went away.

Only ever with my first daughter in the first trimester, but never since then.

My skin was good with DD once I got about halfway thru the first trimester. My skin got better in each successive pg - terrible with DS 1 and gradually improved. Virtually all pg symptoms are from changes in your body chemistry and nothing to do with the gender of baby you are carrying.

I had super bad dry skin on my face with DS, like red patches. This time, nothing so far!

I had great skin with both my girls and then 1st and 2nd trimester I had horrible skin with DS and the 3rd trimester has been pretty clear

I agree that there is probably nothing in it but this is the first pregnancy I have gotten spots! Wish it did mean I was cooking a girl! :)

Oh, I didn't realise that it was an OWT. It's just something I noticed that is very different with this pregnancy. Hasn't happened to me before.

I was hopeful that my lack of morning sickness meant possible girl too, but it's kicked in yesterday and today so I'm screwed. Lol. Will have to wait to find out what's happening. Probably until birth. So long away!

horrid skin with dd2 and ds1....dd2 was conceived 4 months after dd1....ds was conceived 4 months after dd4 so for me im thnking it was something to do with close together pregnancies

It was actually opposite for me--pretty skin/complexion with my daughters but bad acne and oily hair with my DS.

hi i had terrible acne on my neck with 3 of the boys the whole time i was preg until about 3 months after

Yes I had bad pimples with DD thats what gave my pregnancy away at 8 weeks. I had clear skin before I fell pregnant. I'm pregnant again with no pimples this time 12.5 week scan says boy this time.... but we'll soon find out.
